It had been another busy day of work. It was your typical day, filled with murdering high value targets, robbing an massive bank off a moon, and some general house keeping duties. He wasn't the type to do any type of "house keeping duties," but ever since developing the desire to create a team like the original Crusher Corps, his days had been filled with much more. He was never a leader, always just the top tier hired gun. There was so much to creating a thing like the original Crusher Corps, he never even realized. Financing, recruiting, and retention were words he never thought of when he was just a member of the team. It was a great headache for the small raccoon, but well worth it if it meant he could live his days like he did back then. The raccoon walked along a sandy beach, his paws interlaced behind his head as he daydreamed of days old. Back when he first joined The Crusher Corps. It was a simpler time, no politics were involved back then. Just a group of like minded individuals, taking what they wanted, whenever they wanted. Sly loved every minute of it, but then it all went south. An enemy was found within the Saiyan Dominion and sides had to be taken. At first he decided to remain loyal to the Crusher Corps, even if he disagreed with the current climate. Throughout the galaxies wars, he felt The Crusher Corps became too involved. The members begin to come and go at such a pace Sly couldn't even keep up. All of the original members that mattered to Sly had left. Eris, Xeleri, even the black hearted majin simply vanished. The raccoon wanted to remain loyal and he tried, but eventually the change became too much. Emperor Carombolis took over, another battle was waged, and The Kabochan Confederacy was born. That was when Sly knew his time with The Crusher Corps was over. He wanted nothing to do with a confederacy, he wanted to go back to a group of guys and gals who raised hell and stole what they wanted. One day perhaps... he though to himself, one day he would help create something like that again. He continued his stroll, a long drawn out sigh escaped his snout as he tried to put The Crusher Corp thoughts to bed for the time being. Finally, when his mind was at quiet he sensed a familiar energy not too far off in the distance. It was the kid, majin Khoshai, this realization cause a smirk on his face. The majin nearly killed him the last time they met, but it was out of fun. He truly enjoyed his company, and found the majin hilarious. A much needed break, from his break, the raccoon thought. With breakneck speed he took off in flight towards the energy signature. It would only take a moment or two for him to reach Khoshai's destination. When his eyes saw the kid he would greet him with a hearty hello, "Hey Kid! Fancy seeing you here huh? What you been up to?." The raccoon finished his statement with a loud laugh. South City, the vacation tourism spot on Earth. And one of Khoshai's favorite places to be. Why? I mean, who doesn't love the beach? Or amusement parks? Or cotton candy? I mean, all three things and more were compiled into an archipelago of islands, making South City's collective compilation of islands Earth's biggest entertainment sector...and no, not that kind of entertainment, you dirty minded individual.
Nonetheless, it was just the sort of place to attract a nine year old boy with nothing better to do, and thus he spent quite the time in South City, just lounging around and doing whatever....with whatever little zeni he could scrounge up at a time. However, he had underestimated just how much weight zeni held in the world, and his interpretation of a "lot" of Zeni wasn't the same as what most adults thought, and thus his jubilant trek to the amusement park only ended in disappointment, when he was ruthlessly denied at the entrance, prompting quite the great deal of sadness from the boy, who had nothing better to do than wander the streets, dejected. The boy was....well...he was an extended tourist. Born on Abbayor, Khoshai left his family, with permission from his older sister and mother, to explore the galaxy. Why would a mother allow her nine year old son to traverse the vast galaxy by himself? Well, first, there was comfort in strength. Majin Khoshai had proven time and time again to possess a level of power only surpassed by few in this galaxy, and his unique physiology made it quite difficult for him to die, per se, so it wasn't as if he couldn't get out of trouble, if he was dragged into it. The other aspect being the fact that he was of his father's blood. It was present within the heterochromatic eyes that the boy possessed. His right eye possessed white sclera as well as a light blue colored iris, representing the good within him, as well as his childlike innocence and gentle nature. The other eye possessed a black sclera with a deep, blood red iris, representing his potential for chaos, evil and destruction. A duality of nature, derived from the very parents in which he came from.
His mother, Majin Leah, an Imperial Patrolwoman and a figure of justice and stability, while his father, Majin Saharis, a symbol of chaos and mindless destruction and consumption. This dual nature was the true reason Khoshai was allowed to leave the safety of his home, and everything he knew. So he could discover himself, and find his own path in the universe, regardless of his age.
Except, all he had found out, was the struggles of being homeless, and of being denied access to an amusement park. Sitting down outside the candy shop, Khoshai frowned, drawing his knees up to his chest. What was he gonna do now? Everything in this blasted city cost money, which wasn't fair! How could you have an amusement park, and not have it open to all kids? It was just plain cruel. Why did everyone love money anyway? It was just paper...
His thoughts were soon interrupted by a familar figure landing in front of him. Looking up, his mood immediately changed from one of melancholy to one of jubilation, prompting the boy to leap to his feet and cheer.
"Mister Sly!" The boy exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air. To be honest, he had met his little raccoon friend by chance. He had just finished spending the rest of his money on candy for that morning and afternoon's meal...which unfortunately consisted entirely of sweets. Afterwards, the child had found a nice comfy spot on a tree branch and laid down for a little nap, only to be awakened by Sly's rising power. The two played a little game that involved beating each other to a pulp. Although Khoshai had come out victorious, Sly was quite the fighter and had proven himself quite the challenge against the rubbery Majin boy. However, it was a game, so no harm no foul. In fact, Khoshai considered Sly to be one of his only friends in this harsh world meant mostly for old, mean adults. Hence the excitement.
When prompted as to what was on the day's agenda, Khoshai responded with a dejected sigh
"Nothing...there's nothing to do! I don't have money to do anything here...! All the arcades and amusement parks cost money! Wait...but why are you here?" Khoshai cocked his head curiously. Last time they had met, Sly introduced himself as a bounty hunter. Of course, Khoshai's naive mind connected Sly's description of a bounty hunter as akin to a superhero, given that Sly supposedly hunted down and stopped "bad guys", just like your typical comic book superhero.
Referencing such a misunderstanding, Khoshai was prompted to give his own guess as to why Sly was here
"Are you hunting down bad guys in South City?"

Sly walked towards Khoshai and gave a smile. If he was tall enough he would kneel down next to him, but being a raccoon didn't allow him those luxuries. As the majin spoke and smiled brightly, he could not help be reminded of himself at times. He too was once just a poor soul, unable to do the things he wanted due to the lack of money or the experience of age. Fortunately, he was able to find a nice cush gig, that allowed him to basically buy anything he wanted, whenever he wanted. But, it came at a cost, a cost he did not want Khoshai to have to spend. Being a mercenary was fun, but it ate away his childhood. For once, Sly felt the want to help someone without any benefit to himself. He chuckled as he responded to Khoshai, "I actually just finished beating up on some old guys. I wish you were there, it sure would have helped me a lot." An idea popped into Sly's head as he listened to Khoshai mention amusement parks and the lack of money. He smiled once more at the little majin, "Listen here buddy, I got so much money it's a joke at this point. How bout I give ya some and we both to whichever theme park you chose. Heck, if you want we can go to everyone. You don't have to worry about lines or anything, I got enough money to buy us tickets to skip the lines. So what do you say? Wanna kick it for a few with the old raccoon." The small raccoon reached to his side and pulled out a tied up bad that was hung to its waist. It was a small bag, but filled to the absolute brim with zenni. With it clenched into his paw he threw it in the air and caught it several times. Eventually he would chuck it towards Khoshai for him to catch. "That's yours Khoshai. It should be more than enough to get you into any themepark in the city." Sly couldn't help but feel good, he had never just helped someone without there being some benefit to himself. It definitely wouldn't change his outlook on life and his whole demeanor. However, it did feel good to offer the kid something. Doctor Kaijin VexWC: 387 TWC: 919

Wait...did he hear him correctly?
Despite Khoshai's disappointment over his ruined agenda for the day, he had already resigned himself to some passive aggressive pouting and sitting outside the candy store for hours window shopping. But, maybe that wasn't to be after all! He was surprised by Sly's offer however. No one had ever offered him money before. Normally, he was simply bullied into submission by other strong fighters who simply wanted to ruin his fun, or ignored by the masses as some dumb little kid. To the rest of the world, Khoshai was just a little troublemaker, who didn't know what better to do with his time or power, and didn't understand that half the stuff that he ended up doing, was hurting people, until he was chased out. However, even then, he didn't know better. He was horrifically naive of the world, and was slowly being ushered into reality the hard way. And he didn't like it.
Sometimes, though, it was nice having a friend to look out for you. He didn't have any, not since he left Abbayor. He considered Sly a friend, but...here he was, giving the boy money to have fun, and even was nice enough to offer to accompany him, and bring him across the whole park!
Catching the bag of Zeni, he examined it with wide eyes, and shook it a few times. He had never had so much before. He even opened it up and examined the contents inside, just to check if it was real, or if he was dreaming or not. Then, without warning, he darted forward and embraced the raccoon, in a show of affection that was unlike even the usually bubbly nine year old. Looking at Sly, Khoshai cocked his head curiously, and asked a single question.
"Why...why are you being so nice to me?" A single question, that gave insight into what had quickly become the boy's norm. A reality for the child, in which it was rare these days for someone to treat him with such kindness. To the child, the last nice people he had met was his mother and sister, who he had left behind on Abbayor. Ever since making Earth his home, Khoshai had gone from one place to the next. From being run out of city after city for various infractions, to fighting Lilith the Earthling Witch in the ruins of an ancient city, and having her nearly extract his soul from his body, to fighting plant monsters that came really close to eating him on Planet Vegeta, kindness wasn't necessarily something he was used to. Yet here was Sly, a raccoon who had entertained him before by playing a game with him, appearing before him once more and giving money to the poor Majin. Why...why did he care?Post Count: 471 | Total Word Count: 1,301 | Sly

He was taken by surprise by the majin as he felt him grab him with a hug. His eyes shifted to the eyes of the majin and a smile crossed his snout. Even for an alcoholic battle tested raccoon, it was good to see the innocence that lived within children. And Sly was not going to be the one that ruined the hopes and dream for the young one. "It may be hard to believe, but I was young like you once. Back then, I didn't have anyone to be nice to me or help me out. It forced me to grow up, and believe me it's much better to stay a kid as long as possible. This will actually be the first time I have been to a theme park too. So it should be a lot of fun." He gave Khoshai a friendly pat and began strolling towards the entrance of the theme park. Even for him it was a lot to take in. Multiple trips to Space Vegas was not enough to prepare him for how grand the front of this park themed. People were twirling, dancing, and performing all sorts of tricks. The who place was littered with decorations and entertainers, and it was just the entrance. Within a few moments, the tickets would be purchased, and the duo would make their entrance into the park. Immediately upon their entrance, a small xeno jumps in front of them and snaps their picture. The zeno shoves a card into Sly's hand as he gives them a friendly welcome, "Welcome to the park! Bring that card to guest services at the end of the day for a picture if you want. Enjoy your day." Sly chuckled slightly and looked over to Khoshai, "So what do you want to do first ? The day is yours kid." WC: 307 TWC: 1,226 Doctor Kaijin Vex

The hug was kinda weird.
To be honest, he hadn't met a lot of adults shorter than him. But then again, it was a rare sight to find himself talking to a talking raccoon, so there must be a first for everything. Nonetheless, Khoshai was comforted by the show of affection, and even when they broke contact, the young boy grinned at Sly, his spirits much higher now that they had found something to do for the day. Standing up, Khoshai listened to the raccoon speak of his past as they made their way to the amusement park. So, Sly was kinda like him, then? He used to be lonely, in a strange place and no one was nice to him too. It was kinda depressing to think about, how they lived in a society where not even children were safe from the evil that was adults and their agenda. However, despite such, Sly was trying real hard to preserve the boy's innocence, something that Khoshai appreciated, even if he didn't truly understand it (since he didn't see his own actions as childish, but what kid did?). But, he was indeed still at the age where growing up was a scary prospect for him. He didn't want to grow up! Adults were really boring, and kinda mean. But not Sly though.
"Mr. Sly...why are people mean to us? You didn't do anything wrong when you were a kid, and I try not to be bad, but people like hurting me anyway...I fought these mean plant things on some red planet called Planet...um...Vegeta, I think? They tried to eat me! And then, there was this mean witch lady who beat me up when I found this really cool old playground! It's just not fair...you're the only nice one I've met...." Khoshai complained as they neared the amusement park. But right before the entrance came into sight, he smiled softly at Sly.
"Thanks for being nice, Mr.Sly...." He said, before his attention was completely captivated by the theatrics that went on in front of the amusement park. Sly would notice the boy's facial expression morph into one of wonder, and his eyes lit up. He had spent many days sitting outside the amusement park, amusing himself with the performers outside, but knowing he couldn't go inside due to lack of money. But today was different. He jumped slightly when the Xeno popped out of seemingly nowhere, taking their picture and letting them know they could exchange the card for the picture at the end of their trip at guest services if they liked. After getting over the initial shock, Khoshai looked over at Sly and smiled. It was nice being here, especially with a person he could call a friend. Pointing over to a rather high and extravagant rollercoaster, the boy grinned and looked to Sly.
"Let's go to that one!"

"Old people don't understand younger kids sometimes. Especially when that younger kid just happens to be one of the strongest beings in the universe. It may be some jealousy. Don't let them get you down, just because you are young doesn't mean you can't serve a great purpose in this galaxy. You can do whatever you please with life. But, don't be afraid to just be a kid and enjoy life." Sly simply nodded in response to Khoshai thanking him. Eventually the duo would approach a ride of massive proportions. Sly was not the least bit surprised that Khoshai would pick one of the biggest rides right off the bat. He half expected it in all honesty. He looked over towards Khoshai, "Let's do it kid, looks like this one will be pretty fun. Follow me." Sly began to slip the crowds until they were at the entrance of the ride. With a stealthy move some funds were exchanged from Sly's paws to the line keepers hands. Next moment, the employee was directing the duo directly to the front of the line. The employees quickly guided the two on the ride and sat them in the front row. A loud clink could be heard as they were belted in. It was humorous to Sly, that the two of them were being strapped in for safety, even though the two of them could easily destroy a planet. However, he chose to try and ignore these factoids and enjoy the place for what it is. His gaze shifted over to Khoshai once more, "This is gonna be fun kid, hope you don't get sick easily." With that the coaster launched forward, instead of the slow traditional climb, it raced upwards at breakneck speed before plunging back down to begin the ride. As the duo would be enjoying the ride, trouble was brewing just on the outskirts of the park. A massive gang of no goods, were just beginning their assault on the theme park. Unbeknownst to Sly and Khoshai, this gang intended on holding a whole park of patrons hostage and robbing them all blind. It appeared that Sly's plan for a fun filled day were about to get interrupted. WC: 370 TWC: 1,596 Doctor Kaijin Vex

"Okay Mr. Sly! And I enjoy life all the time! Especially when people like you are happy and nice to me!" Khoshai answered with a smile as he responded to the raccoon telling the boy to just enjoy being a kid and enjoy life. The child responded with such exuberance and such positivity that it was near infectious to be around. With a skip in his step, Khoshai continued along into the park.
This is so fun!
The colors, the ambience, the smells, it was enough to bring a twinkle to the child's eyes. Just this morning, the subject of being brought here was nothing more than a dream, a hope that was quickly dashed by something as simple as money. He was grateful for the little raccoon next to him. His head turned back and forth as he tried to take in everything he could, and he could feel himself getting more excited by the second. So much so that immediately after Khoshai pointed out the rollercoaster he wanted to go on, he dashed off towards it, his body simply phasing out of sight as the boy unintentionally sped at the rollercoaster as fast he possibly could, which was pretty fast in comparison to the other patrons of said park.
Nonetheless, in a matter of moments, thank to Sly's quick passes that allowed them easy and swift access to the ride. Grinning to his friend, Khoshai allowed the attendant to buckle him in without a fuss, and within moments they were off! The wind in his face, the pit in his stomach as they made the dramatic jumps, and the twists and loops made the child cry out in glee. He was having so much fun!
"That was so much fun! We went slow at first, then really fast down! Then we twirled, then went backwards and-!" Khoshai then proceeded to prattle on and on for about several minutes about each and every twist in turn, as if Sly didn't just accompany the boy on the same ride, and experience every moment he had tenfold. Yet, in all his discussion, he had no clue of the appearance of the gang outside the theme park, and had no idea his fun day was about to be ruined.
Khoshai looked to Sly," Now it's your turn to pick a ride!"

Sly could not help but laugh as the duo exited the ride. The excitement in Khoshai's voice as he explained the ride was infectious. He nodded in agreement as he was given a play by play of the roller coaster. His eyes then gazed out towards the other rides, as Khoshai asked what they should do next. The choices were nearly uncountable as his gaze bounced from one twisting and turning ride to another. "uhhh. there sure is a lot of choices in this places huh. We could go to that tall one over there. Or maybe that one over there, it looks fast." The raccoon pointed his claw from one ride to another as he perused his options. Unfortunately, a loud disturbance could be heard just off in the distance. This would be followed by a massive crowd running towards and eventually past Sly and Khoshai. Through the confusion and the chaos, he heard what sounded like energy blasts trailing the fleeing crowd. "What in the world is going on? I just wanted to have a day of fun." Eventually a gang in the hundred would show themselves behind the crowd that had fled to the back of the park. As Sly and Khoshai stood there, seemingly unafraid of the chaos, the gang leader showed himself and shouted out towards the duo, "Aren't you two afraid? Don't you want to run for your life like the rest of the park? Not sure if you are aware but were gonna rob everyone here blind, So don't annoy me and make way to the back of the park. We will take all your valuables once ya get there." Sly just blinked with a blank expression on his face as he looked towards the gang and their leader. Were these guys serious? The boy's eyes followed Sly's finger as the raccoon pondered on the different types of rides they could go on next. As much as Sly was conflicted on what they should do next, Khoshai was as well. All of them looked so appealing, how could they ever have time to do them all? But, the child did. He only had one shot at this place until he could somehow find some more money, so he had to make it count. Just as he was about to suggest a ride they could try, the sound of energy blasts and screams interrupted him, causing his attention to turn from the rides...to something else.
"Huh?" Khoshai wondered, scratching his head, confused by what was happening at first. He felt himself being pushed two and fro as a plethora of people rushed past him, screaming in terror. What was happening? Why were people running? Why did they sound afraid?
Interestingly enough, he got the answer to his questions. Some group of people, a gang perhaps, showed their faces before Khoshai and Sly, questioning the two as to why they weren't running like the others.
Anger bubbled in him like a pot about to overflow. Khoshai had never been a child afraid of pain, or fighting others. To date, only one people ever truly hurt him to the point where he felt he was going to die, and that was his father. So this band of fools? He had nothing to be afraid of. Khoshai's anger spiked from frustration at the situation. This was supposed to be a day with him and Mr. Sly, one day that the boy could enjoy himself without worrying what he was gonna eat next, or without worry of being chased out of town for doing something wrong. He had one day to truly enjoy himself, and it was going to be squandered by some bad people who just wanted to steal and hurt him and Mr. Sly? The mere thought it enraged the child.
And when Majins get angry, they break things.
"Raaaaaaaaagh!" Khoshai screamed, throwing his head back and letting the earsplitting scream fill the air. A scream of frustration, of pure emotion. Yet most of all, it was a battle cry, a call to action. A precursor to death. If these people wanted to ruin his day...he'd ruin theirs.
His mystic aura exploded around him, a dazzling pink energy enveloping him like a blanket, forming a sort of buzzsaw-like motion around him as it spiked out, little sparkles of mystical energy dotting the waves. Tremors were sent through the ground, and strong gusts of wind swept through half of the park as Khoshai's energy level began to climb. When his head lowered, his red eyes locked onto the gang leader. Originally, the child possessed heterochromatic eyes, indicating his dual nature between good and evil. In his right eye, his sclera was the standard white, with a pinkish iris, while his left eye held the standard eye color for a Majin, black sclera with a red iris. However, when he looked upon the gang leader, both eyes matched, yet both reflected black sclera with a red iris.
"Me. Kill. You." Khoshai said, making sure to enunciate each word. Looking to Sly, he offered the raccoon a small smile, showing that even while his conscious thought was blocked by anger, the boy still recognized the small raccoon for what he was, a friend, and therefore would not attack him. His gaze locking back onto the gang, Khoshai raised his right hand straight up, and a fuchsia colored sphere of energy formed in his hands. His frown then upturned into a small grin, showing his sharpened fangs. Then, he fired the energy wave straight into the air.
The energy wave broke past the clouds, shooting straight up into the air, before breaking apart into a plethora of smaller energy waves, which would then descend upon the park like deadly droplets of rain. The energy waves would bend and redirect themselves to focus upon the gang members like homing beams. If they were to make contact with any of the gang members, it would tear a hole straight through their heart on impact, moving to kill them instantly.
And all the while, Khoshai was laughing maniacally, as if he were enjoying the entire ordeal.

Sly didn't need to do a single thing about the newly presented threat. He simply observed Khoshai as he dealt with all of the gang members with a rage he did not even know the majin had within him. After noticing Khoshai giving him a friendly smile, he was able to be put completely at east now knowing he would not have to worry about his friend turning into a foe. The raccoon's eyes sprinkled as his gaze shifted upwards and towards the energy firework display that was now violently racing to their enemies. His eyes closed and he slowly walked around while doing a small little jig. The screams and cried for help was music to Sly. Eventually, the sounds would cease and Sly would open his eyes and to his pleasure not a single gang member was left standing, or alive for that matter. "Great job Kho, hope you can calm down and see what a great job you did. Not only did you clear this entire park of this gang, but the gang managed to clear the park of all the other guests. So it seems like it is just me and you. We have complete access to the park and everything it entails."
The raccoon gave the majin a friendly pat on the shoulder and with his other paw pointed to a nearby ride. "This one over here looks like fun, let's give it a whirl." You could hear the utter excitement from Sly's voice. For once he would be able to simply enjoy a day for what it was. No work for the day and no responsibilities. Just two people of unimaginable power enjoying some thrills of a theme park. Doctor Kaijin VexWC: 285 TWC: 2,185

He had entered that mode unconsciously. A state of being, a state of existence in which he became just like his father. A chaotic state much like the man of destruction himself. Khoshai didn't even fully register what he was doing. One moment, he was angry and upset that the gangsters had arrived with intent to destroy the park and hurt himself and Sly...and the next moment...the next moment.
The color in the boy's face drained when he realized what he had done.
Slowly, his eyes returned to normal, and his anger faded, leaving him with crushing guilt in its' stead. The boy backed up, almost too stunned to speak, trying to quell tears that were springing to his eyes. He didn't do this? Did he? Did he kill all these people? Khoshai backed up slowly, trying to take it all in. He had never killed anyone before....not to mention this many people. Sure, he had fought and destroyed those plant thingies on Planet Vegeta, but Khoshai didn't consider those to truly count, and in that situation it was either eat or be eaten. This time? The gangsters didn't even attack him, didn't even provoke him that much. It was the mere threat of them that threw Khoshai into a frenzy. A frenzy that slaughtered the entire gang. He didn't even know he was doing it....he just...
"I...I didn't mean to do this....I-I'm sorry..." Khoshai stuttered out, the guilt wracking at him. Sly, on the other hand, didn't seem not bothered in the least. In fact, he seemed almost pleased with, and stepped over the corpses of the gang members with little to no trouble at all, ready to direct the child to the next ride. But Khoshai, for once, wasn't excited about it, and hesitated slightly before following, his tail lowering slightly, showing his sadness. Stepping over the bodies, the child moved to follow Sly.
It would be quite awhile before he forgot this journey.
