Victory! The entire planet was rejoicing in victory. The Dominion and any other rulers, Frieza Force, the Galactic Empire, were gone. Kabocha was well and truly an independent force to be reckoned with. Though she was bruised and wounded right now. Cam had yet to get to make any true choices of ruling, though what executive political decisions could be made were, and given his clout with the people, it only too the emperor speaking out to sway the people's opinions. Kabocha was used to being an independent state, a place where merit and talent reigned but a lack of success was not shunned but nurtured. Kabochans were an intuitively peaceful people though constant war with Ikonda had made their race hardy and naturally strong, a physically unfit Kabochan was a near impossibility, technology and science had strengthened the race as a whole to a level on par with the Saiyan race, though more inclined towards the use of energy over raw brutality. It made Cam naturally suited for working for a conglomerate like the Crusher Corp. In truth he was nearly the ruler of both, soon he would be confidently cemented as the head of the Crusher Corp. Some mild recruitment efforts and the take hostile take-over of a neighboring planet and he would have everything he needed to establish a well defended, healthy imperial rule, after all, everything Polaris did, every display of power, ever war crime, every state run propaganda put a sour taste in the mouths of the people who wanted their own personal freedoms. There was only one small problem when it came to his plan; his fleet was occupied and would be for some time. Kabocha needed to heal and in order to do so it needed to be vanguarded. His fleet had taken up residence over the planet, forming a blockade checkpoint for ships. All manner of ships were allowed to come and go but were heavily inspected and sometimes questioned if any manner of suspicious cargo was found. Such an undertaking took all of Cam's fleet and would for some time. Though Cam knew his planet was host to hundreds if not thousands of crashed ships from previous fleets. The Dominion, the Frieza Force fleet, a half a dozen Ikondan fleets, the odd galactic patrol ship here and there. The materials were there to refurbish at least a dozen ships. That's why Cam was out in the desert right now; he and several other crews were surverying large fleet graveyards, marking ships that looked like they were worth salvaging and trying to put back together, surprisingly, the ship he had used as a shield in the previous attack The Dortmunder was still functional. Sure it was rough around the edges, but were it re-armed and armored, the heavy war cruiser could make a dangerous spearhead for any fleet. Bundled in tan tactical gear, the emperor stood up on the sand cruiser he had been riding shotgun on, scanning the horizon with a set of binoculars. He could see in the distance over a few ridges yet another ship graveyard. Just how many wars had been fought on his planet he wondered? And for every ship graveyard there was some empty city on the planet. It's people evacuated and resettled or vaporized by the fleet that attacked it--before promptly being destroyed, along with most of the wildlife around the planet. Between war and the tree of might, so much needed to be cleaned up to restore his planet but he would make the best effort he could, but he needed more people. Slumping back in the chair of the cruiser's gun turret, Cam sighed. It was boring work. It was hot, tedious, boring work but work that needed to be done all the same, though any distraction would be welcome right about now.

Meiku had spent the time away from friends and family at least in a productive way. Out in the rural field she had claimed as home she began her work. She began with basic shelter, completing an aluminum based shed to rest in if need be. After securing shelter and food she moved on to her true passion.
By making friends with the locals at the scrap and car yards, Meiku was able to get sweet scores on scrap metal for base building and sometimes even working parts. There were still certain tweaks that the woman had to engineer past however.
Weeks had transpired and her efforts had finally paid off, well--it was in working condition that is...maybe.
“All right, here and here.” Meiku mumbled while sequencing some codes inside the ship upon a refurbished computer monitor. There was but only one seat in the small craft, needless to say, no walking room. The Earthling had dreams of the stars, but never thought about how to easily, or comfortably get from point A to point B.
------------------------
She programmed the computer to take a practice trip from here to New Namek and back. With today's technology the trek didn’t take long, she thought the ship could keep itself together for a short period of time. However, it weren’t until about mid-flight through space that Meiku realized that her trajectory was off. Bits of space litter dinged the outside of her ship, and soon a voice rang clear over her radio.
“Attention, you are in Kabochan protected space, please identify yourself and prepare for inspection upon entrance to orbit.”
She grabbed at the receiver to relay a message to clear the confusions with the space security. Unfortunately there was a loud snap of metal that shook the entirety of the ship. The piece of tape that she had put over some cracks in the walls had whipped loose. The ship began declining rapidly and warping under pressure. As the woman’s vessel lost altitude it began to burn up entering the atmosphere.
“Shit, shit shit shit.” Meiku mumbled to herself. She had to salvage the ship, or else she would be stuck on some planet called..., Kabocha was it? She wasn’t the best with galaxy geography but was sure she didn’t want to stop here. Needless to say her ship was still hurling towards what appeared to be a dessert.
She had no choice, she had to abandon ship. The Earthling opened the hatch to the side of the small vessel and wiggled her body through.
Meiku were now floating in the air as she watch her hard work hurl into the ground with a thud. She had to go salvage what she could, all that she saw was sand and the remains of ships like her own in ruins.
Was this place like the Bermuda Triangle of space ships?
Meiku flew after the fiery explosion zone, her eyes scanning the bits of ship and where they had scattered. Perhaps there were enough parts on this planet’s surface to repair her own; or maybe make it better.
The inner greed set in at the thought of having access to specifically ship parts and not hand-me-downs of the local scrapyard.

Scanning the horizon a sudden transmission came over the scouter on the side of his head, "Emperor, we have a ship that punched through the blockade. Looks like it's on a crash course not far from you," His favored lieutenant Coca informing him. He was with his bodyguard Duria who seemed to have finally had his curiosity pique, "There," he said as he sat up in the front seat, pointing at a descending fireball from the sky. "Want to go check it out?" He asked towards Cam. The Kabochan only growing a sly smirk. Their sand cruiser was relatively quick, able to glide over the terrain with ease as they quickly closed the distance of the quickly plummeting craft. "It's pretty small," Cam remarked, "Likely a star fighter. Don't think we're gonna find any survivors," he said as he watched in real time as the ramshackle ship streaked overhead only to crash into the sand a few miles ahead of them. Duria hit the throttle of their cruiser, only trying to get to the crash site faster now that the ship had fallen. "What do you think Coca? Got eyes on it yet?" waiting a few moments for a reply, "No," Coca replied sounding dejected about it herself, "It kicked up a lot of sand and dust at the crash site, still a cloud blocking it from our view. It was a small ship though. Don't think it's any invading forces, go check it out. Just be careful." Cam was tempted to give a snarky reply though Duria interjected before he could, "We're here. Doesn't look like much.." Both the saiyan and Kabochan stepped from their craft, examining the scene in front of them. A long streak hand been cut through the sand, the craft had skimmed across the sand for some time before it caught on a chunk of limestone, the lower half if the ship being ripped open, the exchange of force sending plates of metal and scrap flying all over the sands. Though it seemed the frame for the most part, had survived, though the engine and so much components of the ship had been smashed and broken in the crash. Both the soldiers had been expecting to find an injured or broken pilot in the wreck, though their first sweep revealed not so much as a blood stain. "You think they fled?" Cam asked toward Duria who shook his head, "No. This impact would have killed just about anyone," Cam reached up toggling on his scouters scanning functions, searching for any ambient power levels. Assuming Meiku wasn't repressing hers, his scouter would flicker and point an arrow upwards, indicating a power level was above them. Duria doing the same and only confirming a read, Cam glancing over at Duria, "What do you think?"

It was a pity to watch something you worked hard on explode into several chunks and shrapnel. She kept descending even despite the clouds of sand and smoke choking her. She wanted to see if the main chassis was still in tact, that would reduce repair times significantly.
She touched down upon the hot sand, luckily her boots kept her tender feet from the harsh elements.
Meiku stumbled through the blinding smoke, kicking at parts of metal she once traded many a thing for. It brought back the memories of how tough life had been since the introduction of her obscene magical abilities. Recently she had began training the body and mind to be more open to ki and the abilities fueled by it.
She returned to the air, with all of the smoke she couldn’t check much until the fires quelled. Meiku was so flustered during her escape her power level was definitely not suppressed; if anything it may have flared with the adrenaline rush. She looked down over the wreckage, but then towards the two men who seemed to be staring right at her.
Would it be foolish to fly right up to them? Would they perceive it a threat?” The Earthling chewed on her lip for a moment before waving from afar.
“I’M NOT A BAD ALIEN! I COME IN PEACE!” To be honest, despite her interest in space travel, and how easy it was to afford a shuttle even off the Earth. Meiku had never visited an alien planet. She looked at the deserts around them, it almost mirrored some of Earth’s environments.
She slowly began to descend once more, at least on their side of the wreckage she could breathe some fresh air.
As soon as she would have come into view, it would be clear she meant no harm. She was just on the bad end of a worse situation.
Meiku landed, a hand shielding her eyes from the overbearing sand she stirred up with her ki.
“Greetings. I seemed to have---” She paused and looked towards the pair. The one looked like a bedazzled weirdo for some reason. She chuckled under her breath at his appearance.
“---crashed my ship.” Meiku innocently pointed towards the wreckage behind her. It’s smoke continued to plume and spread over the horizon. Cam WC: 384 // TWC: 921

Neither of the men got time to take the initiative to launch into the air as Meiku descended to the sands below, as she approached Cam could detect her meager power level as could Duria and both seemed to visibly relax a little, though they were still wary, "I've seen better parking jobs, you know. You just crashed yourself into a war zone you know," Cam wasn't certain he was buying the innocent traveler quite yet, though salvors and scrappers were a dime a dozen on this planet. Glancing over at the wreckage before back to Meiku, "You uh... Totaled your ship and then some," He frowned, "Was it a makeshift pod? Looks like the parts weren't even meant for space travel," His scouter identifying several components of the ship as being from other pieces of machinery. "What brings you to the neighborhood?" Duria asked then, his tone more than implicit and accusatory, expecting the woman to flee, though that would be about the worst thing she could do, "Coca. Send a squad my way," Cam murmured into his scouter, "Acknowledge. Two minutes and they'll be there." Cam then glanced over at Meiku, "You have a name?" He asked, following his question up just as quickly, "Did someone send you? You don't look like a Dominion member. You from the Frieza force, or just here to take from our planet?" he gestured out over the desert at one of the vast ship graveyards, "Though you don't look quite as equipped as you should be for salvage. Plenty of bandits and pirates that'll rob you for your good salvage," Though Cam was trying to turn that around, he had provided a bounty on known killer bandits and paid the more peaceful and individual salvors for what they brought to the empire. He suddenly realized though that this might all look a bit over-reactionary. "Well, you missed the checkpoint, we'll have to question you a bit but uh..." The Kabochan eyed over Meiku with a studious gaze. Indeed Cam looked quite the antithesis of a mechanic, shining tan armor with a cape and a large chain around his neck, ears pierced and hands coated in rings. The purple lens of his scouter giving him a full breakdown of Meiku's current state, which was likely a bit shaken, but otherwise she didn't seem to be wounded. "Though you seem harmless. You must understand though that running a blockade in a war zone is fairly suspicious as it is dangerous, though..." He glanced over at the crushed, smoking wreckage, "I'm curious. My ships weren't able to detect your until it was right on top of them. What kind of attack pod was it?" Cam had a pair of stealth attack pods, but the material to makes them was quite expensive and rare, yet this human had somehow managed to piece one together that nearly slipped by unnoticed, that could be useful, provided he could befriend such a person.

She had realized her mistake as soon as the air control flagged down her ship. But, there wasn’t much she could do to mitigate now other than to cooperate with the men to her fullest capabilities.
Meiku grinned, her beaming smile trying to melt away any suspicions, but with the graveyard around them and how tight security was, she doubted it would. This was actually the last trip that the Earthling had wanted for the day. The man before her in the odd outfit seemed to be the shot-caller.
“Yeah, my parking isn’t the best yet. But, that was also my first time flying one too.” Meiku admitted, her fingers running through the rivers of raven locks upon her head. She seemed to be brave if nothing else.
She was quickly interrogated by the other stranger, his tone bellowing a bit different than the first to greet her.
“Well, to be honest I didn’t want to come here at all, my name is Meiku from Earth. The coordinates in my ship’s computer must have redirected at some point. Instead of West I was taken South and ended up in this quadrant. It wouldn’t let me override on board and then my ship took some damage. No---No one sent me? What?”
Meiku took a deep breath, trying to explain the entire debacle was tiring. It didn’t help that she was getting counter interrogated by the pair.
“I was able to get off-board though, no issues there. I just have to worry about...getting back home.” But really, what was there for the girl that was so important? She would be just as content sitting out here in a graveyard of ships creating frankenstein abominations.
“War-zone huh? Oh. Well, shit. At least know it wasn’t intentional.” Meiku’s eyes were a bit wide. She didn’t keep up with current local events of Earth, much less the galaxy’s affairs. She was a creature of the past, trying to forge the next place in the future.
The subtle smell of oil wafted off of the woman’s skin, it was a scent that was hard to shake no matter what fragrances masked it. Her body was dressed in a simple red crop top with some stained and worn denim overalls. It also looked like she didn’t anticipate having company on her trip either.
“It’s not an attack pod at all to be fair, just a single person transport.” She turned towards the blazing disaster, there was a clear look of disappointment seething from her entirety now. “I was testing a new stealth field though. Perhaps next time I should ensure that all parts essential are working before ironing out other details.”
Meiku had a lot to learn, but she was an eager girl with eyes aimed for the stars.
“I believe they said this was Kobocha? Sorry I’ve never been to this quadrant before.” Meiku stated, looking around at the landmarks in the sky to try and pinpoint her exact location.
“Anyhow, I’m so sorry. Hopefully I haven’t caused you or your men too much grief. Please do whatever necessary to prove my innocent intent.” She winked towards Cam, though she knew not of his name yet. “Should I refer to you two as something in particular?” Cam WC: 541 TWC: 1,462

Compliance was telling, for both Cam and Duria. The squad called in would drop in, five more soldiers dropping in nearby, "It's fine," Cam said loudly to them, "You can question her, but she seems alright," a slight smile on his features that crept there after the mechanic winked at him. "Just take her statement and sweep the ship. Her story seems to check out." And the long tedious process of being asked the same question several times, both about her and her ship were asked. Coca eventually coming over Cam's scouter, "Looks like she is from earth. I think I confirmed the shop she worked at." The Kabochan empire having already tapped into some of earth's intelligence hubs. It was merely a matter of having people who knew where to look to find someone's identity. Stepping forward, one soldier would shout towards Cam, "Ship is clean!" Clean meaning no weapons or military technology anywhere on the ship. "Looks handmade! What you assemble this in your workshop?" Cam had heard of some mechanics getting it in their heads to build their own personal spacecraft, such things were dangerous and often costly undertakings, to see that this woman had succeeded enough to make it to another planet was impressive enough, "Emperor Carambolis," he stated, "Though you can call me Cam. This is my bodyguard, Duria." he gestured towards the Saiyan who gave a nod to the mechanic, "Well it sounds like your story all checks out. We'll have to take you to Pukinpa if you're looking to get off world. You're gonna have a hard time getting off world though, the blockade has things slowed down and most passenger ships stopped coming here some time ago due to war." He paused shrugging before he stated finally, "You could try and get a contract with a cargo ship I suppose? That would get you off world." Just as quickly as the squad arrived they would return to their attack pods, another larger ship set down this time, a drop ship that Duria drove the cruiser on to, "Care for a ride?" Cam asked as he beckoned for Meiku to climb aboard, "So you're a technician of some sort?" Cam asked as he gestured to her denim overalls. Once aboard the ship dusting off to head towards a nearby headquarters that had been set up on the planet. They would get a perfect view of the jewel of Kabocha, the capital city of Pukinpa. A host of people of all races and classes intermingled in a free state ruled by Cam and Cam alone, though he let the Crusher Corp. set up shop here, he still ran both the government and the company, any conflict of interests eclipsed by the sheer need of the planet require defense, and the Crusher Corp. had just as much a history of protection as it had destruction. "Also may I ask where it was you were trying to go? You said the west quadrant?" Once again it seemed an intriguing human had entered his life, Atreus and Cub, Audrey, he had met so many people from the planet and the list only kept on growing.

Meiku stood by quietly as the new squad dropped in. They quickly led the woman away to gather a statement and ask her some questions. Each time she answered them, it was the same as before, it was probably just stalling tactics until their backend retrieve information about the girl. Her name was plastered on many a web address due to her line of work. Any simple search would probably lead the security in the right direction.
Quickly news rang through the group of her citizenship. Soon, the debris that was her ship was cleared of any weapons. Like she told Cam earlier it were but a mere transport vessel.
“Emperor huh? Pleasure to meet you Cam.” Meiku smiled warmly towards the raven-haired man before his extra crew split and left the scene. All the while, Cam was very welcoming to the Earthling, even offering her a ride back to the capital city. Meiku felt a little more at ease now that she wasn’t so much stranded in this unusual situation.
“I see, not that I’m in much hurry to head back.” Meiku chuckled, watching as a large ship set down before them. It appeared to be their ride for the night, Meiku cautiously followed the pair into the ship her eyes marveling at every fiber of it as she walked up the entrance ramp.
What it would be like to work on these monsters? Digging her way through tight corridors to run wiring, customizing them to the fullest extent! What Meiku wouldn’t have done if she had unlimited resources.
“Yeah, I worked as a mechanic back home, up until recently. I went to school though, got an engineering degree. Hell, I even had an internship with an aeronautics team of a rather big research corporation. Until...that.” Meiku huffed in annoyance. Thinking back to her weird materializations scaring off her friends and family made her sour. At first it could have just been innocent objects like pencils, but next it was live grenades and mines during nightmares.
She had blown a quarter off the house in her sleep, and somehow managed to withstand the blast.
“I actually set course for New Namek. I was going to circle there and back with a test run. It was the first real extended space flight I had taken. It was foolish and ambitious, luckily I’m still alive.”
Mieku would own up to her mistakes, but she only could hope one day she could afford the materials to create something groundbreaking. Cam WC: 418 TWC: 1,880

At the mention of the Mechanics home world and not wanting to go back Cam looked over at the Mechanic, "You sound like you're looking to get away from something. Desperately so if you're willing to do-it-yourself launch into space to get away." Moving to sit down on the ride back, indeed it would seem like the city was flourishing, many small personal crafts, speeders of all kinds that flew at all heights sped around the city. It was late enough in the day that all the lights were starting to turn on in anticipation of what passed for night on Kabocha, a dusky green colored twilight at its darkest. "Why New Namek of all places?" Cam asked. He couldn't think of any true reason to go there, though perhaps she knew something he didn't. The dropship flying over a compound near the royal palace, it would land in a small airfield that was only halfway accessible due to stockpiled derelict ships that were slowly being repaired or harvested for parts. The process likely could be streamlined and Meiku was likely a smart enough woman to know it, though Cam could work with troops and spark the creation of resources, he wasn't the man to know how to do it efficiently or in the best way possible. Filing out of the ship once the back ramp way dropped, Cam would stretch as his lieutenant, a formally dressed woman with opal white hair and glasses greeted the two. "Coca," Cam said her name with a nod, "Emperor," the Lieutenant said with an incline of her head before she looked to Meiku, "I just want to apologize for the confusion on our part. We're allies and friends to the people of Earth. Had we known your ship was in trouble we might have tried to provide some aid before you crash landed rather than after." She stated concisely, "I trust we can set you up with one of our pods to get you off world to New Namek, if you would like that. Honestly it's probably not the safest thing to be here of all places," Coca glanced skyward, "Not after the last fight at least. The Saiyan Dominion fleet is bound to retaliate soon." Cam stepped forward offering a smile, "Nonsense. Meiku and the people down here have nothing to worry about. Our entire fleet is up there and they're supported by two of the most powerful Land to air guns ever made." Cam grinned, one could see the this Emperor definitely had a cocky streak, "I feel bad for them. I wouldn't want to fight us."

“Not really looking to get away from Earth, but more find my own way somewhere.” Meiku replied with a somber tone. In her hand she fiddled idly with a small pocket knife that was caked with oil and grim. The girl stood there gazing out the viewports that lined the walls of their ship. Whatever local sun provided light and warmth for Kabocha began to sink over the horizon, dousing the land in bathes of warm peaches and reds. She smiled at the sight, watching the millions of lights beginning to illuminate the city streets and cozy homes.
Any civilization experienced war, it was mankind. There were always waves of fighting, then bits of peace. It was the nature of the world to be turbulent, it was like the universe setting it’s own self checks and balances by keepings things dynamic.
“I have a friend on who studies agriculture on New Namek, I was going to show him up by getting there by my own ship. However, you see how that worked out. It’s not that I want to go there, it’s just I want to go anywhere I can find a fit.”
Meiku chuckled to herself, and the ship had finally arrived at its destination. The Earthling hadn’t spent too much time within the cities as of late, since she were now able to control her weird powers it should be safe again. Maybe on her visit she would have the chance to notate the city’s people and persistence as they became bigger and better, after rebuilding of course.
Cam greeted a beautiful woman, her face stern and studious. She seemed overly sympathetic as she turned towards the Earthling. She expressed condolences on behalf of things she had no control over. Typical extra-formal business. Meiku waved a hand to dismiss the concern of the woman; but she quickly moved on to talk of setting her up with transportation off-world.
Cam chimed in, stating that his city was safe, and that the thanks went to their power soley. It must have meant Cam and his right-hands were at least competent fighters. Meiku turned towards the city skyline, and gazed upon the area that they had landed.
“You know, despite what you say. The city seems to still thrive in such conditions. Your people must be resilient.”
Meiku turned her head back to the group, her beaming smile poking through.
“I appreciate your accommodations, the night is still young. I hate to be a bother, but--where could I wash up and find some dinner for the night? I would love to taste what Kabocha has to offer at least.” She patted a small satchel on her waist, presumably where her zeni cards and other important trinkets lingers.

Cam nor anyone else in the still newly forming Kabochan government had thought to create a refugee policy, mostly because people were leaving Kabocha right now, not coming to it. It was a commonly held opinion that the Saiyan Dominion would retaliate and some folks simply weren't willing to risk staying even under Crusher Corp. protection. He had hoped to prove them wrong, so far he was slated to keep on winning but who knows? Atreus had warned him that they would send stronger Saiyans now. That the Dominion had super Saiyans at its disposal and they were now going to be gunning for him and by proxy, the planet and its people, he was more than willing to let people flee if they so chose and return once the fighting was done. Meiku was right though, while some had fled, many more stayed behind, either because they lacked the funds to leave or simply were choosing to stay behind or even stay and fight, it was a heartening thing to see his people's resilience indeed ring true, it only served to further inflate Cam's ego at hearing words of praise coming from Meiku's mouth. "There's a wash room on the base here, I think it's just over by the barracks," pointing across the airfield at a set of buildings that currently housed a garrison of mercenaries and Kabochan loyalists, though with the day winding down if she went to get herself cleaned up she would find herself all alone, most of the soldiers having bathed in the morning. "If you're a gambling sort there's a few resorts that would likely love your business. Otherwise I recommend heading in to the old town quarter. It's a marvel of sorts, the most preserved part of the city. There's bars and clubs there if that's your scene, otherwise there's the grand library as well as many, many ruins outside the city. Though I wouldn't recommend going alone or at night out there." the Kabochan warned. Trying for more follow-up on the agriculture Cam mused, "This friend of yours. You think he could be someone we could contact? Kabocha needs more farming capabilities, but the conditions of our planet are quite harsh. I'm surprised a human like you can tolerate our air so easily. Some tend to start coughing after a while." Cam pointed out, and while Meiku likely couldn't smell any blatant differences, the air of the planet was indeed harsher than earths, with no forests or grasslands Kabocha's atmosphere was near toxic. Another hundred years and the planet would be entirely uninhabitable. Every Kabochan knew it too, though any efforts by science so far had proved futile in providing Kabocha with relief.

Meiku admired those who worked hard for their take in the world. She was always one to put in greater work than necessary to ensure that everything was perfect. Unfortunately, she didn’t do that today. Gray orbs marveled and reflected the illustrious lights of the city, Kabocha was similar to Earth which put the girl at ease.
This planet wasn’t too different than what she were used too, just like an alternate reality. The main distinction was the thinness of the air. Be it due to her living in the city her entire life or inhaling straight Carbon Monoxide from the exhaust of vehicles for so long, it didn’t bother her. She controlled her breathing, and tried to conserve what energy she had left after her earlier ordeal.
Cam instructed her of where to find the washrooms, the glorious casinos and the various nightlife activities she could indulge in. It all came wrapped with a warning, of not to go alone. Meiku couldn’t figure out the reasoning, he had just said that she should be safe upon the surface. Why the sudden contradiction?
“O-Oh...My friend? I suppose.” Meiku fumbled with her words, the emperor soon looking to make connections with anyone he could get it seemed.
The Earthling did mention attending school for her degree, with her knowledge she was able to solve an array of problems with simple additions to their original design. For their final project teams had to design a system to drastically change and simplify an everyday obstacle.
Meiku were paired with a young man named Taito. The man was very interested in how to produce plant life in the most rigid and desolate of environments.
Using his passion and both of their minds, they were able to design and patent a hydroponics system that could sustain a single family. While it never really took off, she hoped to design upon it and increase the scale if the resources were ever available.
“Yeah, I can get you Taito’s information, we worked on some projects together in the past.”
Meiku rubbed her nose before Cam mentioned the air around them. He seemed to be worried by her reaction.
“I can tell it’s a bit polluted here, but I am used to choking on car exhaust. Hopefully it’s reversible?” Meiku pondered, wondering if there was a way to convert an entire atmosphere for the sake of tourism or health of Kabocha.
“Well, I should go freshen up, find some clothes and explore. Do you think I should wait until morning though? If it really is not safe to go alone?” Meiku shot a gaze towards Cam that looked like a kicked puppy. She couldn’t deny her curiosity to explore.
Meiku then turned to waltz in the direction of the barracks that he had so graciously pointed out.
It wasn’t long before she was flagged down before a random member of the empire. She handed the Earthling some fresh towels and a changing of clothes. Fortunately Earthlings and Kabochan’s weren’t too far off in stature.
The woman quickly showered, the oil and grime slipping from her pale skin and leaving her renewed. Just as quickly as she left the woman returned, wandering aimlessly through halls and corridors.
Upon her body was a simple black dress. It hugged her frame perfectly, whoever picked it out was good at eyeballing sizes.

"Well, in the city is fine alone. Outside it there's bandits and pirates and all sorts of unsavory sorts unfortunately. Lawlessness you could say. Order holds in the major cities but outside them things get more primal and more dangerous," at the mention of the air and the planets condition Cam nodded his agreement, "It should be reversible. At least in some magnitude." He paused to give a small smile, "It's interesting you should literally fall from the sky and meet me of all people. You seem to have a lot of skills and knowledge in something I'm looking for." As much as Cam wanted to distrust Meiku, he had no reason not to. Her story and identity checked out. While Meiku showered off, Cam spoke over his scouter and gave orders to have Meiku's scrapped ship collected and reverse engineered. Her shield technology would be invaluable to the war efforts of Kabocha. Moving to the palace, he left Duria behind to watch over Meiku, when she exited the shower Duria would be leaned against the wall by the entrance, glancing up and looking through his red lens scouter at Meiku. Whatever opinions he held of the woman he kept to himself, his expression betrayed no emotion other than the pensive, slightly angry look many Saiyan men tended to develop over time. "When you're done doing whatever it is you're intending to do, you can return to the palace. Seems my employer took an interest in you after all," pushing off the wall he murmured something under his breath before asking, "You've control of our ki? I assume so, your power level is higher than normal for an earthling," as if to prove it he tapped the button on his scouter, pinging up a number, the number astonishing him, "74,474?! You're... How is that possible for a mechanic?" Duria marveled at the human's power level. It was higher than his by a decent margin, though he was a trained soldier and she worked on hydroponics and broken down cars. Not letting his pride get the better of him, he simply said, "Not bad." Trying to play it off as if his was even higher. Beginning to lead the way towards the exit of the base, a gate being opened and it was out into the city streets, "You're free to go. I can accompany you if you like, otherwise take this," he extended a scouter out to the mechanic, a purple lens attached to it, "It's already dialed to our communication channels so if you end up needing a ride give someone a shout." Under royal watch and bearing an invitation to the royal palace, and she didn't even have to try all that much it seemed. How many people could say they befriended exotic alien royalty?

“Ah, a lawless land eh? Such things happen in time of tragedy or war.” Meiku had whispered somberly to herself after leaving the washroom. She had been thinking on Cam’s propositions and his plots to better Kabocha. She could feel an earnest vigor radiating from within the planet’s current spearhead. Now that the dirt and grime from her body, she felt a bit better about interacting with such a prestigious person.
She would need to gather the rest of her ship before she parted ways as well. Perhaps Cam could order a shuttle to help her transport the remnants. But then what? Would she go lunking around a space trailer of semi-salvageable goods? Another deep sigh pained the woman’s chest, as she turned the corner she would notice the Saiyan from earlier. He was tall, beefy and intimidating. The complete package of an important person’s personal guard.
“Return to the palace?” Meiku mumbled the words aloud like she were having trouble hearing. The Earthling shook her head and tried to regain her clear mind once more. Duria went on to explain that it seemed the Cam had some use for her after all. She couldn’t imagine what beside maybe helping salvage or using her for her contacts. Her mind immediately shot back towards the Kabochan’s earlier comments on her ‘attack vessel’, maybe he needed help achieving such technology for his own ships.
Meiku had always assumed that the Kabochan’s were relatively up to date with their technology; well to be fair---her technology was a bit ‘experimental’ perhaps a modern discovery among man. She had never really the chance to research the things that interested her fully.
Her ego felt inflated from the Saiyan’s words. She heard him utter from numbers, he was also wearing a scouter like the emperor. She had always seen them, but never wore or used one herself.
“Why are you talking about me?” Meiku mumbled, taking the scouter that he soon offered. Her gray eyes marveled at the purple hue, flipping it over in her hand a few times as Duria spoke her next directions. She figured he was there to be her personal guard, but tonight it seemed he had other plans.
“Sure, sure. See ya.” Meiku distractedly mumbled while waving an idle hand. The Saiyan had began to lead her in the right direction, but she were too busy figuring out every working component of the technology in her hand with a mere glance.
“Ahh, so that type of battery would sustain the longevity needed. I heard the earlier versions of these were so lackluster, they could only handle so much power level before they crumpled trying to calculate a number.” It was clear she didn’t realize she were talking to herself as they approached the open cityscape.
The woman positioned the purple scouter over her eye and pressed the side button to test its functionality. She scanned Duria, noting how his earlier reaction made sense now. His power was either suppressed a great deal or he were barely a fraction of her own level.
“Alright, I’ll holler if I need anything.” Meiku took off, her red aura flaring around around her as she flew through the sky at a casual pace. She figured she could enjoy the sightseeing on the way so she needn't bother anyone for a tour later.
Meiku was soon at the place instructed, the guards blocking her apparently aware of her arrival. She shot them a friendly smile, but they declined to return the favor. Meiku huffed, “Stiffs.”
Her eyes wandered around the inside of the palace, it was as she imagined; just---was that a gem?
Meiku watched her step as a random crystal rolled by her foot.
“Hello? Where the hell do I check into Casa de Cam?” Meiku walked deeper into the palace, her eyes shooting up towards the expansive ceilings. Cam WC: 644 TWC: 3,549

The palace was neat and orderly, almost surgically so. It was made of a material that appeared to have the same composition as marble however the stone wasn't nearly as cool too the touch, acting as a heat sink in the desert sun so that the palace stayed a comfortable temperature night or day. Entering in the front would mean going up one series of steps to a hallway that lead towards a large antechamber that appeared to have recently been quite destroyed, a casualty of the war no doubt, however it was already under construction, however the palace proper remained intact meaning housing and living functions of the building were still intact. Entering into the Chamber revealed holes in the massive ceiling and construction materials all around. No one appeared to be working with any loud tools currently though some men and women patched holes in walls and gathered rubble into neat piles to be reused or taken away. Speaking into her scouter would finally get her a response from Duria. He was able to tap into her scouter feed, "You'll want to go up the set of stairs to the left and then take the elevator to the top floor," before detaching from her scouter feed. Cam had changed out of his armor, choosing a deep navy blue sweater and some fairly new looking jeans, hair pulled back into a ponytail he looked around his floor of the palace--it was a penthouse of sorts but it was his. It really was pristine too, the Saiyan regent lord hadn't had much time to rearrange the place, well, at least not this part. It was polished to be certain, but it was more modest living than one might expect. A personal gym could be seen, a fully stocked and outfitted kitchen. Large glass windows and a balcony where one could see the entirety of the city and in Cam's case that was quite literal, the spectrum of light he could see on was greater than a human's, able to see in infrared and microwave meant he could often sense people through walls and around corners, he could even see ki energy inside a person's body, this allowed for the anticipation of an action, a sort of precognition that allowed Cam to win most fights he got himself into, with only a few exceptions. "Ah, you made it!" Cam would say in greeting, currently lounging on a large polished sofa, his scouter was folded up and sitting on the table in front of him, along with a freshly opened glass bottle and a bowl of chips and salsa. A controller for the latest video gaming system in his hands, he had paused the game he was playing and stood up, "Please, make yourself at home. Anything I can get you?" the Kabochan would ask, eyeing the scouter she had been given, "I trust our technology is working well for you?"

Meiku’s eyes were pleasantly surprised to see the palace looking immaculate. Not that she expected it to be half-destroyed or painted an odd color. More so, that Cam was a unique individual with ‘trendy’ choices of clothing and style. She chuckled and nearly feel over after Duria’s husky voice range through her ear loud and clear.
Meiku pulled at the scouter, yanking it away from her head as he spoke. He went over the more specific instructions of where to take and even mentioned elevators. This was turning out to be quite the palace indeed. Perhaps it would not be so bad for the girl to make friends with the emperor himself.
“Thanks bud.” Meiku mumbled in response the Duria. He was helpful, that was for sure.
The Earthling proceeded on, walking up the long flight of steps. Normally she wouldn’t be so winded, but the weird air of Kabocha lessened her stamina. Meiku wandered on, her gray orbs scanning for the elevator before walking towards it casually. After pressing the button she only need wait a moment for the doors to the elevator to open. She stepped in and stare at the long listing of floors to visit.
With little hesitation she press the button at the top of the list. It took a minute or so, but finally with a ding the doors opened up. Meiku stepped out, her fingers running nervously through the tufts of raven hair. She had to make sure she didn’t look a lunatic, it didn’t help that she didn’t feel the most comfortable in a dress.
“Ah, you made it!” Cam bellowed from his cushy looking sofa. He seemed to be at rest for the evening, looking much more normal than the bizarre spectacle of earlier in the desert. She let herself in, slowly pacing around the area whilst taking it all in. The living quarters had everything he would need to function and thrive in one area.
Meiku walked closer with his permission, standing awkwardly before him as he stood. It wasn’t often she were with people recently, let alone one on one.
"I trust our technology is working well for you?" Cam questioned, he seemed to be beaming.
The Earthling’s cheeks flushed as she hurried reached to remove the piece of technology. She folded it and set it on the table with his own for now.
“Of course! I like some of the updates yours have and how they vary to other brands. It was definitely needing calibration on Duria’s end however, that or he’s just that loud.”
Meiku joked with cam, before her arms fell flat to her side awkwardly.
“I um, what are you getting into?” Meiku pointed behind the Kabochan to the table with the bottle and his salty snacks.
“We don’t have to jump into the business side of it yet if you don’t want though. Up to you.” Due to Duria’s talk with her earlier, she knew Cam had called her here for a reason. She wondered what she possessed that would be of use to his Empire’s cause? Cam

"We don't have to jump into the Business side of it yet if you don't want to though. Up to you." She was on guard, at least a little bit. Cam was happy to assuage her fears that she was unwelcome or merely being used for the possibility of furthering Cam's agenda. Of course, she could be used to Further his agenda. Everyone Cam befriended and helped benefit, at some point, benefited him, there was a silent understanding that friends helped friends, otherwise they weren't a friend at all. Considering Cam's upbringing it was a wonder he had remained genteel enough to see people for who they were and what they were feeling, "You look like you need a drink," the Kabochan replied, "Air getting to you?" He stepped across the polished stone floor to a table behind his couch stocked with crystal glasses and decanters that shined prismatic colors in the light of the room. "Now this isn't normally meant for humans," he said as he poured out two glasses, "But one glass shouldn't hurt you. I think the closest thing they have on earth is the old absinthe recipes," he shot Meiku a look, "I've a few human friends and we've had our fair shares of going out getting drunk and making fools of ourselves." He circled around and extended a glass towards Meiku. "As for what I'm getting into? You mean my game here?" he gestured to said video game, "It's Called Shadows in the dark, it's an RPG, pretty good, difficult, but I like the narrative you humans box up and sell," he paused before adding, "Fighting dragons on your home world must've been an intensely difficult enemy to conquer. I can remember when my father mentioned fighting the Ikondans, I thought they were the greatest foe an enemy could have, but dragons," he remarked, "Dragons seemed like a close second." Before he sipped from his glass. "Aside from that, I'm a newly crowned Emperor. I'm... Trying to fit into the job. Kabochans don't really care about conflicts of interest, too much corrupt bureaucracy making it easy to serve ones-self without serving others. I intend to change at least some of that, but in the meantime it's working in my advantage. I've been pouring Crusher Corp. resources into the planet. We finally alleviated the food and water shortages, at least within the major cities on the planet." He gestured for Meiku to sit if she liked, "Which is why I wanted to talk to you. You mentioned hydroponics systems. That's... Something we need, frankly. I'm a warrior and money maker. I understand those things, I understand the struggle of life on this planet but I don't know the solutions to those finer, more complex problems." He looked over at Meiku now, his icy blue eyes seeming to take measure of the mechanic, wait. Weren't his eyes brown before? He glanced away after a few seconds, "You look like someone who could solve a few of those problems, more to the point you look like someone who would want to. But the biggest problem of all I've yet to find a solution for... at least not one that wouldn't result in catastrophic collateral damage." he remarked, "Follow me." He stood up, moving out to a balcony that overlooked the city. The current dusky green sky added a deep shadow to the city, making the darker tones much more dramatic and drawn out, though what was truly noticeable was a monolith in the distance. It had the silhouette of a massive tree. Dark branches and the outlines of stunted roots could be seen in the horizon. The tree had to easily be thirty miles high, maybe more. "Do you know what a tree of might is?" Cam asked, looking back to Meiku, not sure if humans had such a legend. Kabocha certainly did, "A long time ago, about five hundred years or so, a Saiyan came to Kabocha. He was a monstrosity to our people, he would be the one to cripple our civilization and our planet." A hand came up to brush against the solid ruby gem that hung from a chain around Cam's neck, "A Kabochan Prince named Diaz fought this Saiyan. It's said their battle destroyed an entire kingdom, and that when Diaz lay defeated the Saiyan spared him because he fought with such valor. His one caveat: That the Kabochan come with him to serve him." He took another pull from his glass, his hand dropping back to his side from his necklace as he went on, "Diaz did, and the planet was spared. But a tree of might seed had already been planted," he looked pensive and grim suddenly as he spoke, "Their roots go deeper than any other plant, their leaves soak up more light and trunk drinks more water than any other life form ever to exist. They soak up an entire planets life force, and the planet dies. The tree though, bears fruit. And if you eat it, your own power increases exponentially. If one ate enough fruit they could conquer the entire galaxy," turning to look out at the tree again Cam crossed his arms, "Though the tree needs just the right conditions to thrive. If something's off. Air quality, soil saturation, water amounts--it could be anything really. If something is off though the tree grows in like that," he pointed across to the malevolent looking, twisted, gnarled and stunted tree, its limbs corded, its leaves wilting and dying in many spots, buds that remained tiny and green, that would rot well before they blossomed into fruit, "Since that tree was planted our planet has known nothing but war. The nearby race of Ikondans attacks. They saw our planet, our military and fleet were hobbled. We've been fighting ever since." "That's what I've been up to. You might see why I need the right people, no matter who they are, to help. I wager you could be one," he paused, raising his drink in a toast to Meiku, "But you can think on it. You're a human, this is a Kabochan problem. I understand if you would prefer to just take a pod off world and be on your way, and I wouldn't fault you if you made that decision. I just figured I should state my intentions so you knew you weren't being fooled or jerked around. But anyone who came up with a solution for removing that tree would be a hero. I would blow it up but... Such an explosion would surely destroy a large part of the planet as well. That said, the tree regenerates rather quickly. It would need to be killed in one fell swoop. It can't be pulled out, the roots are too deep and at this point likely make up some part of the planets structural integrity." This. This was the problem Cam was looking for a solution for. As someone of his background it was no wonder he was asking for the help.

"We don't have to jump into the Business side of it yet if you don't want to though. Up to you."
A sturdy voice rang heavy in the air, she felt her eyes traveling all over the room. She admired and studied every aspect, everything that is, except for Emperor Carambolis. It took the man speaking for her to regain a clear train of thought. There were many things plaguing the woman’s head, not just the potential work Cam had for her.
He quickly offered a drink to calm her nerves. She nodded solemnly, she could agree with his suggestion. The girl were on edge, perhaps the loss of inhibitions would soothe her anxieties. She watched the man walk across the room before selecting a few glasses from his collection.
“I don’t think so, but maybe the air had got me a bit ailed.” Meiku mumbled, before looking down towards the stone floors. Every step she took were reflected in their surface. She clicked her heels together awkwardly before the man returned with a glass in hand.
She raised it to her face, inhaling the unique aroma the liquid carried. Cam mused of times he had indulged and ventured with his friends in drunken escapades. She could relate, they at least appeared to be similar in age. She too would be out with her friends on a night like tonight, for it not for the odd predicament and the fact they were all but gone.
Meiku to be fair, hadn’t made an attempt to garner new friends after having control over her weird powers. Maybe now would be a good time to start seeking that certain companionship now. Either way, she was sure her time now was better spent than her slobbering over a bartop somewhere.
“Oh, Shadows? I have heard a lot about that one.” Meiku beamed, before taking a sip of the deceiving liquid. It went down fairly smooth, but she didn’t know of the other bizarre effects to come.
“Yeah, dragons aren’t exactly something that I would want to mess with. But then again, I didn’t think I was ballsy enough to invade highly secured planet today either.” She took a seat next to the Kabochan, listening to his troubles of learning to rule an empire. It seemed to be tough on the man having to fit the mold, but she were sure he could manage.
Meiku had no idea of the challenges Kabocha weathered in the remains of war. Hearing the man speak of even supplying food and basic needs brought forth the empathy. She couldn’t imagine such a thing happening on Earth.
“I see, so you need my help to produce not only food in quantities, and quality. I assume not just for feeding your people either. Grains for fuel? Water systems to continue to supply a planet with limited water?” Meiku lingered on the thought. If she were going to do a good deed with her work, shouldn’t it at least before the sake of an entire people.
“Follow me.” He ordered politely, and she obey. The demon made her way to the balcony and stood alongside of the Kabochan. He acknowledged the very obvious silhouette that loomed in the distance.
The twisted and spooky looking parasite seemed to be failing in surviving, but so did the entire land around her. Cam explained it’s story, lore and history in a brief few breathes. She matched him and drinking from the glass in her hand, but her sip lingered for a bit longer.
That was when she realized that the job that Cam requested was more enormous than a mere hydroponics system. He wanted the tree removed from his planet. Meiku could only imagine how precious such a thing would be when it were producing healthy fruit. It seemed that it was well-past its prime, dying was the only future for the planet and this Tree of Might. If that was the case, perhaps she could saved at least one---the planet was more valuable than a tree; right?
Cam offered his final thoughts, suggesting that Meiku stay by his side and help him overcome such challenges. She couldn’t lie and say that it didn’t feel good to be valued by someone, no matter if they were a stranger mere hours earlier.
“I see, so you’re sitting on a literal time bomb. I can probably start working on something, but I’ll need to see the tree and study it up close. I’ll also need time. If we are able we can uproot the tree gradually.” Again, Meiku mumbled her thoughts aloud between sips of her drink. Soon her glass were empty, perhaps a horrendous turn of events.
The Earthling squinted her eyes at came as he seemed to shift in hues and colors. She was sure it was from the drink, like Cam had warned earlier. He mentioned that one glass would be plenty, perhaps she should wait for the full effects?
Meiku turned, walking back into the shelter of Cam’s den. She found the seat from earlier, her feet felt like jello beneath her. Could it possibly be a side-effect of the drink he had prepared? In the mere walk from outside to her seat, she felt the bomb go off.
“Ohh, are these chips?” Meiku looked at the delicious snacks placed upon the table greedily. Cam did ask her if she wanted anything earlier, she assumed he wouldn’t mind her taking a chip greedily.
Her finger reached and plucked up one before dousing it into the moderately spicy salsa. She ate it whole, the look of content plastered over her face.
“Count me in, so long as I can eat these chips forever.” Meiku’s words slurred slightly. What kind of liquid could get her feeling this loose after only 10 minutes. She huffed in annoyance, already feeling the embarrassment she would bring to herself if she got any drunker.
“I don’t know what your time restrictions are, but I’ve also never worked with a box full of tools ya know? Perhaps we can come up with great things Emperor.” He had clearly stated to just call him Cam, but Meiku had a hard time breaking down those barriers.
She lazily turned to set her gray orbs upon Cam’s being. She swallowed his appearance, the hair tied back brought out his jawline. His body were wrapped in clothes that were out of trend. Meiku brainstormed on how the man picked his outfits in the morning. Cam WC: 1,080//5,142

Cam perhaps had overestimated how much a drink from Kabocha would affect the mechanic, while he did want it to loosen her up and lighten the mood a little, his intent wasn't to get the woman drunk, "No real restrictions as far as a time limit, I'm more focused on winning this war, but winning and ruling aren't the same thing, right?" the emperor asked, "Were that the case the Frieza Force would have been a much more viable faction in this war. Instead they died, both to my effort, and the efforts of the galactic patrol and Saiyan Dominion. I suppose some might think of me as a dictator, but I hope to be a more benevolent and guiding hand rather than a tyrannical head. I've already made speech more free, the economic market more free, and empowered people with what weapons, protection, and resources I can. It's enough for now, but society always needs more, it's how we move forward," the Kabochan shrugged his shoulders, "I'm basically hoping to have a free government without the... Toxicities of a free market. Set lines that can't or shouldn't be crossed and a baseline of expectations that will sustain everyone." Moving to sit down on the couch, "Help yourself, not sure how well you handle spice but it's sort of a thing on this planet. We're known for our heat, when you can find a crop on this planet that is," indeed the planet before its Apocalypse had been far more lush and perhaps thorny, plants and animals sharp and able to defend themselves, though now such sights were a rarity, "Six months is currently what I'm asking of my people. Either in service in the military vanguard or the Crusher Corp, or if they don't care to fight, they can work for six months in the restoration of crops," he bore a look of thought, "I've already put together census bureau to get a count of just how many Kabochans are left, despite everything, we're probably about a billion in number, give or take, think if we can rally all one billion for a mere six months? What kind of marvels could our race and those we work with create? What could we restore?" the kabochan seemed to get stars in his eyes at the thought of what his people could be if they could get out from under the crushing thumbs that held them back, if they could fight off the Dominion and Ikondans, if they could establish trade and commerce, if they could reliably have a crop and vegetation on his planet, what it would do to the air, the water, the soil, just the entire planet. In ten years grasslands could cover over half the planet. In twenty forests would have regrown. Soil erosion would stop almost instantly and oxygen quality would go up in a few months as well as impurities being pulled out. It wouldn't be as healthy as earth was now, but his planet would survive. Battle scarred and catching up to the rest of the galaxy, but alive. Meiku could help him see that vision come true, maybe even quicker than he thought. His meeting with potential allies and brokers in space vegas left him with a bumper crop of instant seeds of hyper resilient crops that could be planted, instant food relief once the tree of might was dealt with, but he needed smarter minds to figure it out, the only role Cam was able to play was simply keeping that window as open for as long as possible. It took a moment for the alcohol to settle on her stomach, she felt a bit light-headed at first, but that soon subsided---once she got used to the oddity of colors blurring in her vision that is. She focused on Cam as he spoke, her intent on making him feel her entire attention.
“Yes, winning and ruling are very different. I’m not sure what I would do in your shoes myself to be honest.” Meiku drudge another chip into the spicy Kabochan salsa before savoring the sting. It was delicious, and only made her want to eat more. A growing girl had to make sure she ate right? At twenty-three she were still growing? Meiku caught herself laughing at her own internal monologue.
“I see. So maybe the leading isn’t your forte--but you were kind of thrust into it? It’s good that you are already active and enacting some rules and regulations to get this place back onto its feet. Different rulers have different methods I am sure, but I have no doubt you can handle it all effortlessly.” Meiku encouraged the man, the thumbs up on her hand matching a reassuring smile.
Cam went on, lamenting about how rare it were to find a simple crop now and days. That thought terrified the Earthling. Her mind began whirling again with ideas on how to patch the hole that bled life out of Kabocha.
“With a billion at least, you could do great things. It could also ease our efforts of returning Kabocha to as close to its initial status as possible.” The emperor had projections of the mountains that he and his people could move within half a year. Meiku could agree with this, but couldn’t imagine having to force an entire people to cooperate. Perhaps Cam was good with those types of interactions, or at least made it seem like he was cutting them a great deal so they all worked along to his benefit.
Meiku was the selfless type though, she would much rather help another without the promise of reciprocation. Perhaps it was a weakness? Meiku could argue the value she got out of it however.
“So, our main focus is the tree, while the civilians can try and help with crop restoration, without water to feed them they will fail or be sparse. It will be a lot of work but I think I have a few plans I can put into motion within a few weeks or so. It would be a community effort, but if your people are down to help we can maybe pull it off.”
Meiku rolled the plan over in her head. But first she would need to research these Trees of Might before she inadvertently did more damage to the already dying planet.
“Don’t worry Cam, I will do all I can to help your people.” Meiku crossed one leg over the other while enjoying the buzz from the drink from earlier. Her eyes fixated on a lighting fixture that clung to the ceiling overhead.
“The restoration of Kabocha will now be my focus, it beats making shabby spaceships out of recycled aluminum.” Meiku chuckled, even with the horrible materials she had on Earth, the woman somehow engineered her way out of everything.
The girl began to sink deeper and deeper within the couch, her head turning sharply to take in the raven-haired man once more. How was he prettier than her? His hair was so silky, she would have to inquire what conditioner he invested in before leaving. She sat there silently for a minute or more, the awkward gaze upon her face deadset upon Cam as she worried about making his vision complete.
“Would I carry additional responsibilities by pledging my allegiance to you?” Meiku had a dumb look upon her face, perhaps it was intended as a joke or she literally wondered if she were to have other jobs besides her efforts to improve living conditions. Cam WC: 660//5,802
