Planet Earth
<Begin Newscast>
The camera pans over a swath of Centry City, carved out as though a meteor struck it. The great crater is ringed with a huge embankment of rubble. Skyscrapers and buildings lay turned over. Most of the entire metro area still burns with hazy fire. The scene cuts to rescue crews, soldiers in battle jackets, and androids pulling out dead bodies and rescuing the injured.
A woman wide eyed with terror, covered in concrete dust and dried blood looks into the camera.
"It came out of nowhere. Suddenly there everything was collapsing. The quakes knocked me off my feet. I--I lost my dog. I can't find my dog. The building came down across the street. I saw people standing there when it hit them."
Tears stream out of her eyes, dampening the crud on her face.
"My dog. I can't find my dog."
A grim reporter, a woman with blond hair and glasses stands atop a huge broken slab of building, overlooking the crater. "The death toll at this point is climbing. Conservative estimates say that it may be around two hundred and fifty thousand people that died in today's attack. Among those were many members of the Earth Parliament, King's Guard, and even King Ches himself. It is a dark day for Earth."
It looks as though the reporter was already crying, her eyes puffy and red. The scene fades and returns to the studio. We have the anchor, a stout looking rabbit anthro in a suit and tie. He shakes his head, jowls swaying back and forth.
"A dark and grim day. I have with me Chairman Beete, one of the Members of Parliament that was not in Central City when the attack occurred. He is one of the provisional leaders of Earth's government until everything can be assessed and accounted for. Thank you for joining us," the anchor says.
Beete only stares into the camera for a long minute. He looks spooked, cornered. "Y-Your're welcome."
"Tell me, Chairmen, what is the next course of action? Will Earth allow an attack on sovereign soil go without recourse?"
Beete frowns. "No. We are considering our options. But, it will take time for us to regroup make strategy. I can tell you one thing, and that is the Frieza Force's assault on our planet will not simply be ignored. If the Galactic Patrol will not retaliate, then we may have to declare war and take it upon ourselves to combat the tyrannical and genocidal threat that their armies present."
"There is talk of Earth allying with the new Saiyan Dominion, is that true?" the anchor asks.
"I have little information at the time about that. But, as a personal opinion, I am aghast at what happened. I would consider joining with them if it means we can put an end to the Frieza Force for good."
"There we have it folks. We will never forget this day and not let it go unpunished. We are a united Earth and we stand together in these times of pain and suffering. We have Crispa Hall who is currently in West City and has the scoop on the events there--"
