APPEARANCE.
MOTIVATIONS.
Having been born with a strong sense of justice, his upstanding moral compass calls him to action in the face of malevolence and other ill-intent he comes across. In addition to this, being a hero is his greatest dream, and any opportunity he see's to walk the walk will inspire him past all fear and doubt. Lastly, all of the aforementioned give him an excuse to don a cool mask and costume.
QUIRKS.
One of his most peculiar behavioral habits is that he is almost always found stretching/warming up, even in casual non-threatening situations. If you let him tell it, he would respond at length about how preparation can never be done too soon. Another habit of his is randomly performing hand-stands, and occasionally, walking on his hands for extended periods of time. No real explanation has been gathered for this. He also has an irrational discomfort for being wet, hating to be doused with any amount of water in any capacity.
BONDS.
With being as forthright and quirky as he is by nature, very few people in normal society cling to him for extended periods of time. As a result, his bonds come from the people he helps save and or rescue, and reversely those who happen to help or save him. A lot of times his bonds are made and maintained by himself as it is rare that others reciprocate such an investment.
BACKSTORY.
Despite the human race's expansion to the stars Sayva had a terrestrial birth within the confines of mother Earth herself. He was born and raised into a standard capsule corp modeled home in the heart of East City to an ordinary denizen couple. His mother Suko, is a working mother employed as a secretary at a legal firm while his father, Jo, is an animator for a local cartoon production company. It is needless to say that Sayva got his imagination from his father, and ever since he was a kid he had an interest in the superhero's his father would illustrate for work.
This interest quickly blossomed into a passion, and becoming a superhero was a real-life dream. In these times, where super-powered aliens and magical entities ran rampant, the notion of a caped crusader was far from child's play. Before long Sayva's mother had elected to enroll him in the revamped continuation of the New Crane School, figuring it best that her son at least learn how to fight if he were to be jumping into harms way for a living. Of course, neither of his parents understood the realm of possibility that proper training could unlock within their only son until after they had both fainted from watching him fly for the fist time at age 5.
The New Crane School had taught him many things during his time there within the realm of martial-arts, making him a capable fighter proven of some natural talent. The school was ki intensive to boot, which accelerated his understanding of basic techniques, eventually grasping the concept of them all by the age of twelve. By age fifteen Sayva had completed the New Crane School curriculum, graduating with top marks. His growth in martial-arts from which point continued with his continual practice and dedication outside of the school environment.
While in high school the myth and legends of the Z-Fighters as well as other heroes were often talked about, this was especially so in the library where many books and memorabilia about them were kept and maintained. Among this memorabilia Sayva came across a collection of several hundred year old newspaper articles relevant to a mysterious real life hero that went by the name of “The Great Saiyaman”. Captivated and awe-inspired, this Great Saiyaman was the type of hero he had always pictured himself to be, a hero of great justice recognized by the people he had sworn to protect.
During his last remaining years of high school Sayva had spent the vast majority of his focus reading and researching about the "The Great Saiyaman" that once existed hundreds of years ago. In this span of time he had taken it upon himself to craft the perfect costume, something that would make his legendary role-model proud. Now at age eighteen, a few mere months after his East City High School graduation, the hero crazed teen is ready to make his debut upon the galaxy as “The Great Sayva”. Perhaps a bit underwhelming and unoriginal as far as superhero names go, however, his imminent impact aimed at evil-doers across the galaxy will ring glory in the name of justice!
CALL TO ACTION.
After failing to help save the half of Central City that was destroyed by the invasion of the Frieza Force many years ago, Sayva had long since retired his mantle and converted back to civilian life in East City. Over the years the secret hero had been teaching at his alma mater, The New Crane School, figuring if he was not fit to protect the world then perhaps he could help raise future fighters who could be. His prior identity as the The Great Sayva has been recently uncovered by one of his youngest students, secretly finding his old mask and cape locked away in his study. His young pupil’s belief and fanfare in his prior heroism has now reignited his passion and stirred a newfound confidence to answer the call of justice once again!
