A blanket of stars stretched from horizon to horizon, glittering like motes of sparkling dust that spanned the stretch of the cosmos. A full moon hung heavy and low, bathing the dojo grounds in its soft, ethereal glow. It lent a surreal ambiance to the surrounding night, from the gentle chorus of chirping cicadas to the soft babbling of the ornate marble fountain in the center of the temple garden. Flesh caught flesh, a sharp crack to disturb the serenity of the evening. Head cast to one side, Null gazed blankly at the wall of their shared bedroom, his body knelt upon the floor in a position of humble contrition. His cheek stung where his beloved slapped him. He turned his head to meet the eyes of the woman who knelt on the floor before him, her delicate hand still raised from where she had struck Null. Tears brimmed in her eyes, spilling down rosy cheeks. Though her pain was great, her ire was greater, her face a sharp mask of ambivalence. Null could only guess what she felt at the moment. Perhaps her heart ached like his own. A strange mix of sorrow and relief. He had known from the beginning that this was not the life he envisioned. Spending out his days in a small dusty dojo on Earth. Competing in small time tournaments against unworthy fighters from East City. Mentoring beneath a martial arts master whom Null had long surpassed in strength and power level. A part of him longed for this. Yet a larger part revealed his true nature -- it was ugly, brutish, and unforgiving. "It was you," she breathed. He said nothing, did nothing. Only knelt hunched forward, stony gaze fixed upon the aging wooden floorboards beneath him. "You put that fighter in the hospital, didn't you, Null? You blew up that arena, with all those people..." Her wavering tone was cut short. Her muffled sob slipping between her fingers, hands clasped to her mouth in awe and distress. "...how many did you kill, Null?" "Wua Lu--" She held up a hand to silence him. "You promised me... you swore to me your days of killing were over." "I didn't mean to--" "You're a murderer!" " Listen to me, dammit!" He lunged forward, intent on grasping her by the shoulders. Force her to meet his eyes and see the sorrow that dwelled in them. Hands grasped at empty air. Wua Lu crawled backward, away from him. Shrinking away at his uncharacteristic explosion of anger. It stunned him to his core. "You're... afraid of me..." It was a jolting revelation. Wua Lu said nothing, simply cradled her swollen belly in trembling hands. Null had never seen her so frightened. The first time they met as fierce opponents, despite being twice her size, there had not been an ounce of fear in her. Wua Lu was a skilled martial artist, experienced and disciplined. She did not cower. And yet... Her tears were an unending stream, dripping off the end of her tapered chin. It was as if he had wounded her in a manner far worse than she had ever experienced before. Why was it, every time he tried to do good, things backfired on him? One step forward, and he was knocked backward by several feet. Dark thoughts rose within his mind, unbidden as they were. Maybe this wasn't the path laid out before him. Perhaps fate had something different in mind. He thought of his new master, the demon Shinjin, Kuueru. Perhaps... it was time to cut ties for good. His heart ached at the thought of never seeing his child. But Null was no more than a grand disappointment. His child had a good grandfather, and a strong and wonderful mother. Some day he would see his child. But not as he was now. "Goodbye, Wua Lu." Confusion shown in her hurt gaze. She parted her lips to speak -- lips that had been warm and inviting, spilling words that had bolstered and assured him, calming his mind and spirit, building a bulwark that now crumbled to rubble. He did not allow her the chance. "To think..." His words caught in his throat, fighting back a choked sob at the beautiful life he would shatter to pieces. "...I wasted my life in this rat hole with the likes of you." Placing a hand to his temple, a solemn look was shared between the former lovers. The heat of their passion diminished to a tiny flame, too easily snuffed out in the wind of his cruelty. "..." His image began to flicker, and soon, he vanished without a trace. He stood upon a large grassy knoll, the largest hill in a cluster that overlooked the valley. Nestled within was the Ox School of Stalwart Heavens, his home away from home. Turning away, Null faced the newly restored cherry blossom tree -- Wua Lu's favorite. He ran his hands over the smooth white bark, cherishing the strength of the wood and the warmth of the memories shared there. How many nights had they shared under these very stars, dreaming of a future together? Here he had regaled her with tales of his murky past. How he became a fugitive of the Empire. His drunken stint in Space Vegas. The destruction of an entire biodome on Tech Tech. Wua Lu had held his hand in her own, placing a gentle kiss upon each of his scarred knuckles. She had forgiven him his trespasses. Null had buried his past there at the roots of the tree, never to be a burden upon his weary shoulders again. Now, he picked it up again. He was a gutter rat, nothing more and nothing less. But a gutter rat that would change the world, shape the universe into an image of his own choosing. The cosmos would bend the knee. Or he would wipe it from existence in the effort. Kuueru... Master... I'm ready. Take me out of this hell hole. You swore to train me, and it's about time you kept your word!

ICE COLD Tapered nails clicked against the screen as she ran over the data once more. It was a somber night on Mitra, the hub of the Galactic Empire, and her home away from home on Hollow. She spent more nights here lately, tending to her duties and work for the Ultramarines. She was a commander, a mentor, and still had to find time to fit in her training regimen. She was tired, the heavy bags beneath her purple gaze reflected in the tablet as she looked at the file. Null, a Saiyan.
He had a record all right. His past was littered with many crimes against her and the Empire's cause. Still, she couldn't help but grin as she read over his criminal history. Destroying planetary property, mass killings, and being a fugitive of his crimes were just a few that graced his past. At the top of the file was a photograph of the man, it was crude and caught in the moment, but it was certainly Null. Though she had only met him once before, she clearly remembered his features. While he seemed clear and composed in their prior meeting, his expression and chaotic actions on Tech Tech and beyond. The woman pushed her frame from behind her desk and dimmed the tablet. It was nighttime on Mitra, the dark cityscape illuminated by lights that never managed to sleep. There was something somber about it, something that made her feel comfortable. She remembered the promise she made to the Saiyan, and how soon she expected him to collect on it. She was waiting, eager to see what this lad was truly capable of beyond the restrictions placed upon him by his school and fighting style. Yes, he seemed content, but something about the look on his face as he unleashed his power that day was invigorating. Null was holding back, tremendously. If she wasn't so curious about the full extent of his strength, she would have been offended that he hadn't really displayed his max capabilities. In order for her to train the man, she needed to know exactly what she was working with from the start. Her eyes fell shut. She began to think about her own progression. Her own goals. Yes, she was growing at a steady rate in terms of power, but what did the demoness want to accomplish with this power? What could she even do with it? Destroy planets? Cause a chaos throughout the galaxy? Why wasn't she? It was the demon way, supposedly. Her thoughts were cut short as a familiar voice rang through her head. Speak of the devil, it was him. The woman focused her mind, taking in his words. He was ready and sounded more than impatient. She didn't like the tone, but of course, she smiled at the prospect of meeting the Saiyan again. 'I was wondering when you'd ring.'
Kuueru sent one last message telepathically before she disappeared from her quiet office in Mitra. She moved with speed and haste despite the nauseating effects traveling in an instant could have. It was a necessary skill to have though. She had tracked the boy's ki signature to a place they had both been. She recollected the field they fought in, where she tested his abilities. She also remembered the tree that she shattered in an instant and restored at the Saiyan's plea. She came quietly. Her body nearly invisible if not for her flowing pink locks of hair. Her body was dressed in a dark t-shirt, something casual for after hours. Upon her legs were simple jeans. "You called, I answered. I assume you tied up all your loose ends here then?" Kuueru questioned. This training wasn't going to be something quick and easy. In fact, if all worked out, she wanted Null to be with her for a while, months even. She had heard of the news of his future child, his wife, and his obligations to the school. She had to be sure that handled his business before she wisped him away in the night to somewhere, much darker. She was on his backside as he faced the tree. She stood still, her lavender eyes boring a hole into the back of the man's raven colored hair. She could sense something off, his very soul was turbulent and raging right now. Whatever was on his mind was fresh and painful. There was a seething malice pouring from him. Her eyes narrowed as she tried to find the words to say. Perhaps the silence was better though. "I will give you one last warning. One more time to turn around and go back to your family. This won't be easy, you won't be the same person once this is over. I can't undo the things you will experience, I can't negate the pain, suffering and utter hell this will be fore you. Still, what I can do is promise that you'll have the power and skills you seek. I will put you through the ringer. You may lose your life. Do you accept?"

The longer he waited there, wrapped in the still of the night, the more agitated Null became. Doubt began to filter into his thoughts, causing him to second guess this course of action. He was notorious for making foolish choices. And should Null need a reminder of the fact, he had only to remember the screams of the dying on Tech Tech. It had been utter chaos. Debris and bodies littered the streets. Massive columns of smoke plumed into the air as the purified oxygen generated by the dome escaped into the ravaged atmosphere. Acid rain fell in droves onto the streets, searing and burning those unfortunate enough to be caught outdoors. And to say nothing of the massive fissures and destabilized core of the planet, as lava erupted forth and greedily devoured all that was unfortunate enough to lay in its path. Null had not been the one to destroy the biodome. But he had certainly defaced the holographic image of then Emperor Polaris, which had sparked the entire incident. Would all of those people still be alive had he remained calm and followed orders like a good, obedient soldier? It was difficult to say. What wasn't difficult to surmise, however, was that his track record with big decisions was poor. His life seemed little more than a downward spiral on a crash course with his utter demise. Would he die full of regret? Or would he rise to become the elite Saiyan warrior Null knew he could be? What more was there to live for... than his pride? He felt the air behind him part as the sea. An immense pressure entered the small clearing. Her aura seemed ambivalent -- calm and sturdy one moment, wild and chaotic the next. It perfectly exemplified her very nature, or so he suspected. Null did not know Kuueru very well just yet, but he understood they would come to know one another quite intimately. If training with Kuu didn't kill him first. Null turned around, facing her. She seemed just as casual as the first time they met. It would have been easy to mistake her for a beautiful Earth woman. But she was far more than that. She was his savior, and his master. She would liberate him from the pain of this former world, guide him into the suffering of another. But he would emerge far stronger than he was before. Of that, Null was most certain. "If you're wondering about any remaining ties to this place, you can forget it. I've cut all ties to this school, to my master, to--" His voice faltered, pain swelling in his chest. He closed his eyes, trying to compose himself. It still felt too raw and surreal to accept. "--my betrothed, and even my child." His eyes opened, showing a grim determination. "I have nothing left here, or anywhere. I am nothing. I have always been nothing, and I suspect... I will forever be nothing. Unless... you help me change that."Her next warning rolled over him like a tidal wave. As she spoke, Null thought of warm humid evenings such as this, spent lying beneath the cherry blossom tree. He turned his gaze skyward, observing the stretch of stars above him. His eyes searched and found some of his favorite constellations. Would he ever gaze upon these heavens again? No more lazy mornings spent in the gardens. No more comforting meditations. No more afternoon tea and delicious stews. No more long walks with Lu Shao, discussing ideologies. No more would the master's wisdom aid and guide him. He was leaving his life of comfort and peace behind. And going into a literal hell. It brought a genuine smile to his lips. "I accept." Null spoke it with every ounce of conviction he possessed. But it didn't seem enough. His words did not hold the burden of which he spoke them. A valuable lesson he learned from Wua Lu was that often a person's word needed to be coupled with decisive action. Action that spoke volumes and conviction. Kuueru needed to know that no matter what, Null would not stop until he achieved his goal. There was but one way to do this. Tears brimmed in his eyes as he turned to face the tree. It was newly restored, young and strong. Even now, the slightest breeze caused the beautiful pink blossoms to drift lazily to the ground below. Each one, as Wua Lu told it, represented a single dream. A single desire granted to the heart by the gods themselves. If a single blossom represented such a thing... He raised a fist, fingers clenched tight. Power erupted forth, fracturing the ground at his feet, leaving a large crater in the wake of his rising energy. His fist flew forth in an explosion of raw power, obliterating the cherry blossom. Wood splinters plumed outward from the force, a swirl of debris and blossoms littering the hills beyond. His power dropped as dramatically as it had risen. Before him was a smoking crater of scorched earth. Nothing of the tree remained. "No turning back. No giving up. No regrets." He glanced over his shoulder at Kuu, allowing his eyes to drink her in all at once in a new light. No longer bound by the oath of his bethrothal, he felt lust begin to stir in his heart and his loins. Lust for her. Lust for the power she wielded. Lust for the future she offered him. Lust for the death that was certain to encroach upon him. "My life, my mind, my body, my soul... consider it yours. Do with it as you will. I only ask that once I come into my newfound power that you not discard me. All my life I've been cast aside, swept away as if I'm little more than chaff in the wind." He straightened, broad shoulders bulging beneath his dark t-shirt. "I will no longer be worthless. I will no longer be a gutter rat. I will be a force of nature. I will shape this world into the image that pleases me. The universe will quake before me, and I shall ensure that everyone knows it is all because of you.
My guiding light.
Make me into more than just a demon... make me worse."

ICE COLD Her presence was well noted. She was no small fish in the ocean that was the galaxy, and as soon as she landed her feet upon Earth's soil, a chill developed in the night that enveloped the pair. Her aura was better mastered compared to the last meeting with Null. During the Shroomy's tournament she had found a secret to balancing both the holy and the sinful sides of her power. Without the wild turbulence and bleeding of power wastefully, she was able to more accurately focus her attacks with efficiency. Null turned. While his appearance seemed to remain the same as those times before, the look in his eyes was vastly different. The way he looked at her, was something out of place as well. She took a few steps forward, closing the gap between them as she had explained the risks and rewards that would unfold over the course of the next few months. Still, there was a ravenous hunger in his soul, a hunger that she couldn't explain with words or actions. He had nothing to lose, and everything to gain. That made the recipe for a man with primal feelings and urges. Still, she couldn't shake his gaze, she was reluctant to dare look away. He continued on to explain his ties, and how he severed them without a second thought. Kuueru figured it would have just been to his school, to his current master; no, Null cut out his lover, and even his unborn child. He was dedicated, his drive was unshakeable. Kuueru couldn't have asked for a better student to take under her wing. One without those strings attached to hold them back as they aimed for greater heights of power. Null was going places. Too often had the demoness watched people try to obtain power only to be struck down as soon as a loved one came into danger over it. Messing with demonic magic and training was no easy task. Still, Null mentioned that he had nothing here. That he was nothing. How he believed he was always nothing. He was eager to change that. Surely Kuueru could give the man what he sought, she would at the very least try her damnedest. "Nothing, huh? I suppose your name is fitting then Null. I will help you change yourself from this blank slate of potential, be sure of that. Still, you're going to be doing most of the work. You're going to be making the changes. Get that right, now."A most mischevious smile played on her lips and her eyes fell shut. She enjoyed the gentle rolling breeze over the fields. Still, he accepted her gruesome terms. Not only that, he aimed to prove himself further. Kuueru's eyes flickered open as she noticed a burst of energy from the man. She could note the tears in his eyes, but she couldn't deny this was an emotional time. Giving up everything for the sake of secret power was something that only those with the thickest of skin even attempted. He wrecked the ground. Then his fist shattered the tree. It was almost as if a bolt of lightning came from the heavens and smited the poor thing. Kuueru thought back to the time where she destroyed the tree to prove a point, it was rather ironic that now Null did the same. The very tree that his, former woman so dearly held near. The same tree that she so graciously replaced to help ease not only Null, but Wua Lu as well. This was the point he was trying to make. Kuueru wasn't dumb, she understood him now. His drive was resolute and cemented by this action. "Very well then, I look forward to our time together. Hopefully you don't get sick of my face," Kuueru chuckled and locked eyes with the man as he glanced over his shoulder. She didn't break her gaze, in fact, her lips managed to curve into a more decadent grin. In that moment she could feel his yearning. A yearning for power, for knowledge, . . . for flesh. It was admirable, Kuueru almost felt flattered that he had requested her as a master. The demoness took a few steps closer, now a few feet behind the taller man she rested a cold hand upon his shoulder. He promised himself to her. Everything in this world and beyond that belonged to him and defined him was hers. She was like a puppeteer to do with what she pleased with the Saiyan. Still, his next sentence struck her. He wished not to be discarded. He had just discarded everything he held dear, and he beckoned that the demoness not do the same to him. "Why waste such a valuable person? Why would I cast you aside Null?" It was a rhetorical question. Still, the grip on his shoulder tightened to prove her point. She was going to give this man her all, and in return, she knew he would do just the same. She was confident in his abilities, and quite frankly, thrilled to be putting her time and effort into something other than paperwork and military drills. Null was a man of words. Since the day she met him, his flow and effortless speech always had a definite statement. He plead with her to not only make him into a demon of a man, but something far worse. With such a chaotic soul, she could do just that. Her hand pulled from his shoulder and she too looked towards the expanse that was the star speckled sky. "I'll make you into a king. A god amongst mortals. You will strike fear into your enemies' hearts. You won't be some laughing stock, because if you are, that's insulting to me as your master."
The demoness walked towards the man's front side, her eyes tracing his frame carefully. He was in rather nice shape, though his body seemed on edge, ready to pounce despite the training not even underway. "Are you ready to depart yet? The Demon Realm isn't completely a barren place you know? It is a dog eat dog world, but there are civilizations, towns, buildings and commerce all the same. I don't want to lie to you and say you will be sleeping on the dirt at night inhaling the fumes of sulfur and brimstone your entire time there. If I still have connections, I may have shelter for you to rest for the night. Heh, if I let you rest that is. Maybe I'll just keep you awake for a few months eh?" Her finger prodded his chest, his muscles pushing back against her prodding nail.

A king. A god among mortals. As she spoke, Null could clearly envision his rise to prominence. How many times had he been spat upon, looked over, mocked as nothing? He had no claims to nobility as some might, nor had he ever been the strongest in his squadrons. And before the likes of Queen Radia, Yama, and Etohn, he'd cowered before their awesome majesty. From that day forth, Null wanted nothing more than to become a Super Saiyan -- a golden haired warrior of unparalleled might, ability, and fighting prowess. Others would treat him with respect. He would no longer be invisible, a vagabond, an outcast among his own brethren. He would possess a self worth that no man, woman, or god could rip away. Such small aspirations. He had never considered anything beyond his Super Saiyan obsession, and now when he stared opportunity in the face in the form of a rather delectable demon, Null realized he needed to see the world through a much larger lens. From that day forth, no more mercenary work. No more being an obedient dog to some new master. He would set his heights far higher than ever before. Her words drew a slight chuckle from him. "No sleep for a few months? I might suspect you want me to die. That would be a shame. So many avenues... unexplored."He glanced at her finger, prodding the hard muscle of his chest. In times past, other foes and rivals had attempted the same thing. It had not taken long for Null to break those fingers and teach those bastards a thorough lesson in respect. But Kuueru inspired a different emotion in him. Lust. Pure and unbridled. He wanted her, but he needed to focus. Besides... she was a prize he knew he would never obtain. He was surprised to hear of the amenities the Demon Realm possessed. "Demons... have towns?" His mind couldn't seem to process this. "I thought... well, I guess I don't know what to think." Null wasn't confident that either heaven or hell existed. An eternal paradise for those who lived their lives selflessly, and a place of eternal torment for those horrible souls who spent their days harming others. Was the Demon Realm something else altogether? It wasn't as if he'd ever been given a formal education on the matter. "It sounds intriguing. I'm not eager to go to a realm of demons, but I'll do whatever it takes to get stronger. But I imagine it's not a place for mortals like me." In his mind, he imagined a realm of fire and brimstone, of sulfur and pools of acid. Of the endless wails of agony and terror. Of monstrous beings of unparalleled might, tearing one another to shreds to exert their dominance. "Sounds like my kind of place." He nodded, as if making up his mind for certain. "I'm ready to go. I'll follow wherever you ask me to. I'm ready to be strong." He glanced about, as if seeking the very portal itself. "How exactly do we get there?"

ICE COLD Null seemed to quiver at the mention of Kuueru calling him a god, or even something of royalty. She sure as hell meant it though. With enough work, the man standing before her could surely obtain such a vanity title but putting meaning behind it will take a lot of effort on his end. He would have to earn the trust of his people, claim the right to tower over them, and clench the crown and thrown in his physical hands. It was the summit of all statuses. The way Null's eyes glimmered in the night was reassuring. The more she spoke on the Demon Realm, the more people had shrieked away in the past. It wasn't summer camp, it wasn't comfortable. This was going to be an excursion that pushed the boy not only to his physical limits, but to the brink of insanity. If he was able to emerge from the place in one piece, it would be surprising. The demonic aura and energy could very well make him turn against Kuueru herself, and if so—she wouldn't hesitate to strike him down. The demoness hoped that wouldn't be the case. She retracted her finger as he mentioned unexplored avenues. "Yes, there are many things in this living world that we must. . . explore. There are many things to indulge in, many things to strive for. I've learned in my years that, living your life to the fullest is, always the best way to go. Take chances, make moves. . . be daring Null."
She winked an eye towards the man. She was no short woman, standing face to face to him, she only lacked an inch on the man in height. Perhaps being this close got the point across that she was trying to say. At least, she had hoped so. "Null, besides the towns, besides the preconceived thoughts you have of this place. I really just want to warn you. The more you expect, the less unexpected things can happen right?" Her eyes narrowed, her lips parting slowly as she thought of how to phrase her words. "The very air in the realm is, filled with sin. It will try and warp you, you will feel temptations like you've never had before. You may have urges to do things unbecoming of yourself. If you let the darkness in, which I aim to have us do slowly, it can change you down to who you are at the core. You may never be Null again. So be ready."
The woman said her piece and broke away from the man. She turned her back towards him, and then eyed the crater in the ground where the tree of his loved one once stood. The ground still smoldered, and smoke plumed from the middle. Her hands rested upon her hips, and soon Null was ready to immerse himself fully. He looked around for a portal, and that was going to be the form of travel today. Her lips parted, and the words that managed to escape sounded almost ethereal. Her voice hummed and hissed in a language like any other. It was like a chorus; her words double and then triple layered over her original words. Long locks of pink hair lifted from her frame, her energy began to rise, albeit, just a portion of her power. It was the most demonic stench, it's scent intoxicating and alluring. She shifted her hands from her waist and waved them around before her. A small bit of purple energy began to expel from her palms as she threaded her fingers through it like a baker with dough. " Mjsnljh dlaejns iwngnhi, vgmjh al msslii he epg real. Real ez hrl srmehns mjd njzlgjmb."
What sounded like a mixture of clicking, hissing and growls manage to explode before her. The small purple ball of energy had ripped into a giant swirling rift. Kuueru's eyes were glowing, a brilliant alabaster pouring from her skull. The rift was open, but not for long. Even breaching the demon realm was hard enough on its own. "Null, let us go." Kuueru held out a hand towards the man. She didn't expect him to take it, still she looked back to him, her eyes back to their soothing lavender. With a grin she took the first step, her body shifting and melting into the vortex that now stood in place of the tree.

Be daring, Null. A playful wink sealed the statement, searing it upon his mind. So many things were spoken, or rather, unspoken between them. So many possibilities, each avenue branching off into an entirely different tree of varying decisions. Which choices would seem him reach insurmountable power? Which choices would lead him to an early grave? Null had survived this long due to one unchanging fact. He simply refused to die. One final warning came from Kuu. No playful banter, no mischievous winks. She was dead serious when she told him that regardless of any of his preconceived notions, nothing would be as it seemed. No matter what he expected, be wholly prepared for the unexpected. Would he let the darkness in? Would Null allow it to warp and transform his mind? He'd lived so long with his rage, self-loathing, and bitterness. Would the evil of the realm amplify those things he fought so hard to hide, bringing their painful revelations to the surface, exposing him for the sniveling coward he truly was? Would he even survive? He fought to swallow the lump of fear that formed in his throat. This was getting real. It was truly happening. "You said it yourself... Null is the equivalent of nothing. And I am done being nothing. I'll do whatever it takes to never again be nothing. You say I can become a king? You say I can rival the gods, same as you? This is a no-brainer. Let's get going already." He did not have to wait long. An eerie string of words tumbled forth from Kuu's lips. Her eyes glowed with an ethereal light, nimble fingers weaving through the air as purple energy surged forth. It twisted and tumbled, growing larger by the second. The cloying, rotten stench hit him hard, causing him to stagger backward. Burying his nose in the crook of his arm, Null's eyes widened as the ancient demon language washed over him. It clutched at his fear and magnified it ten fold. He felt his hands tremble, his legs threatening to buckle beneath the weight of the horror that wailed from the rift torn into the very air before him. Kuu extended her hand and waited. He glanced over his shoulder once more. One final look at the peaceful life he was forfeiting. Would this all be worth it? It was too late for doubt. He grasped her delicate hand in his own calloused grip, just as her form melted into the portal. Tendrils of dark energy seemed to claw and clutch at his clothing and hair, drawing him in. His vision blurred, ice washing over his being. Terrible wailing filled his ears, and the world went cold and terribly dark.
Thunder rumbled overhead. Thick clouds the color of old mustard spanned the breadth of the skies, flashes of lightning brightening the atmosphere to reveal legions of winged demons soaring to and fro, dipping and weaving amidst the shocking bolts. The sky was the color of rust, yet the world boasted the unmistakable coppery scent of blood. It hung thick and palpable, a bitter blight upon the palate. It caught in the throat, suffocating him. Null's hands flew to his throat, eyes bulging at the sudden intense pressure. He couldn't breathe, grasping at the collar of his shirt and ripping it clean from his body, revealing the scarred warrior's body beneath. He dropped the tattered cloth to the ground, though it did little to assuage the feeling of being slowly deprived of air. As far as he could see was nothing but the craggy depths and rocky outcroppings of black stone. Sharp spires of rock jutted into the air, some playing home to a demon or two, squabbling over something or other. It wasn't as terrible as the depths, however. Deep fissures of ominous shadows, chaotic mists swirling about. Every hot breeze that wafted up from the chasm brought the stench of sulfur and decay, the wailing of ghostly agony. Dark shapes shifted and moved in the chasm below. Things so gargantuan, the crumbling earth beneath their feet seemed to shift with their every movement. Null scrambled back from the ridge once a gargantuan red eye fluttered open, staring directly up at him. His fingers clawed at his hair, tugging at it in thick chunks, threatening to rip them out. The sheer burden of this realm, the sheer hopelessness and despair. The constant hum of distant whispers that seemed far away and inside of his head all at once. It was maddening. "Guh...ger-r..RAAUUGH!" He collapsed to his knees, hunched forward, arms protectively shielding his head. It was going to drive him mad. Queen Kuueru | word count: 3,369

ICE COLD Kuueru had held out her hand, urging the Saiyan over towards the swirling vortex of an unknown world with a welcoming smile and her gentle touch. Her eyes glimmered at the possibility to bathed in the dark energy that saturated the realm of demons. Still, it had been nearly a year since her escape from the place, so much had changed with the woman; she too wondered if the realm would influence herself like it could possibly do to Null. Alas, this was an experiment for both of them. They were in. The void was embracing, and smothering. The very air from their lungs was sucked out and replaced with a void of nothingness. One might feel as if they were turned inside out, as they traveled through layers of otherworldly barriers, each one getting colder and more unnerving. It wasn't long before the two touched down in the all too familiar realm. Kuueru's sullen lavender eyes gazed out at the sulfuric atmosphere and pillars of jagged rocks that decorated the horizon. The place would be quite beautiful if not for the nauseating smell and the feeling of the dark energies all around.Kuueru soaked in the dark energy, her aura swelling and blooming into something more terrifying and overwhelming, even to herself. She would need to control her indulgence, for fear of losing herself just like Null. Speaking of, she could feel a disturbance in his aura. She turned, his face looked terrified. He struggled to breathe. Kuueru took a few steps towards the Saiyan who quickly ripped the cloth that covered his frame. It wasn't long before he looked as if his skin was turning blue, he was struggling all right."Null. Don't panic," Kuueru said in a soothing tone, her eyes gazing over at the man who looked over the landscape and dared to peer into the deepest depths of the caverns that lurked below and all around them. Null was indeed panicking though. He tugged at the raven tufts of hair, his own desperation seeping outwardly. This place was getting to him, and this was his first test. If he couldn't manage to stave off the voices or the demonic temptations, he wouldn't last long in this realm and Kuueru would be forced to put the mere shell of a man out of his misery. That would be a pity.He fell to his knees, groveling before the woman. This wouldn't do. She knelt before him, her fingers digging below his bellowing head. Her fingers clasped tightly around his jaw, jerking his head up to face her. She stared at him for a long moment, watching as he struggled with the confines of his own mind in such a desperate and miserable place. "Tell me Null, are you nothing?" Kuueru spoke softly, her lips curving into a smile as she held his head dead in place. She had to keep his attention; she had to keep his mind away from the voices, the urges, the temptation to give up on everything and lay down and die right now."ARE YOU NOTHING?"
She spoke again, her voice shaking with anger. Her eyes were more focused now, her lavender hues shifting to a crimson red. "Am I wasting my time on nothing? I know you have more fight in you than that my dear," Kuueru chuckled before her free hand pushed on the bare shoulder of the Saiyan to lift him to an upright seated position. She held him there, her hands gripping tightly into his shoulder to bare his weight."If you can't make it through a minute here, how are you supposed to prove them wrong? Prove to them that nothing can be everything. Everything is nothing and nothing is everything. Remember that." The woman inhaled sharply. Then, her hand released his jaw. It wasn't done however, skin met skin. She had slapped him. Ironically, the same cheek that his former lover did only a short time earlier. Boy would it have stung. Anything she could muster to get the man's attention back to the task at hand, she would do. Kuueru didn't care if she had to beat him from an inch of his life; she wasn't giving up on Null that easily.

His breathing was shallow and unproductive. Every lungful of rotten air seemed to sap him of his strength. His mind felt as if it were going to fracture into a million pieces. Wide eyes quivering in the wake of the encroaching malice, it would be too easy to give up and lose himself in it. A part of Null was tempted to do just that. What good had he wrought in his lifetime to warrant a longer life? This place would be his death bed. And if there were a hell, that was where his poor tormented soul deserved to rot for eternity for the things he'd done. The voices pressed in on all sides, some mocking with derisive laughter while others encouraged him to end it all. And, still, a third. This one was strong and confident, far more assertive than the rest. Kuu's soothing tone was like a ship cutting sharply through waters, parting the turbulent ocean of his spirit. Are you nothing? Her question resonated deep within his spirit, sparked something in him that had previously waxed cold. He did not feel when she raised him up from the ground, his body hanging limp in her powerful grip. His eyes were distant, his mind a million miles away as he suffered in mental anguish. The slap shook him back to life. He stood, swaying in one place, hair hanging loose and covering his down turned face. She had leveled a challenge at him. Would he falter? Would he give up? Would Null succumb to the influence of the demon realm and die before he ever got the chance to become more? Would he be nothing? Or would he accomplish everything? Her words lit a fire within him, pushing back the cold tendrils of fear that permeated his being. "I-I... I-I won't... I... I c-cant..." Null struggled to find the right words. He forced all other thoughts and voices aside, the sting of her hand against his cheek raw and potent. It jarred him awake, loosened the maniacal grip of the demonic landscape on him. "Everything... is nothing..." The ground at their feet began to shake as Null's power rose steadily. "And nothing is everything!" His aura erupted forth, though no longer the pure white serenity it once was. It was wild and chaotic, tinged with black as the demonic energy in the air tainted his ki. He fought to keep the taint at the edges of his peripheral mind, to begin to embrace it bit by bit without being consumed. His shoulders rose and fell in heavy, labored breaths as his breathing began to return to normal. Null finally met Kuu's gentle yet apathetic gaze, hand pressed to the side of his cheek. "Thanks for that. This place... the evil here... I've never felt anything like it." It seemed this place sapped the very energy from his being. He swayed on his feet, legs shuffling awkwardly to help maintain his balance. And yet still, Null took on a weak defensive stance, ignoring the beads of sweat pouring down his face and dripping onto his bare chest. "I... d-didn't... come here... to mess around." He could scarcely speak, yet bravely faced off against her. He would endure this. He would get stronger, no matter what. Even if it nearly killed him. Queen Kuueru | word count: 3,927

ICE COLD Null was helpless; try as she might, her voice could only be a guiding light to the Saiyan as he fought the turbulence that rocked his very soul. It was a trying battle, one with the odds stacked against young Null. In fact, Kuueru was beginning to feel the effects of the demonic energy coursing through her own veins. Her heart sunk, the very godly power she had just awakened in Shroomy's Tournament managing to grow smaller and smaller. By balancing her holy aura and her demonic power, she had unlocked a serenity of power that was unlike any other. Now, she was letting it slip? She wondered if Null would be just the same? Would he let this demonic magic taint his soul completely? Would he give some fight and maintain a semblance of the person he once was? Her hand stung. Still, it managed to bring the Saiyan back from the brink of madness. There was a chill in the air though. The hot humid atmosphere had been wafted away and replaced with an eerie cold. Kuueru's hand was still softly braced upon the Saiyan's cheek as he began to speak. The strife filled his voice. He was actively fighting and working towards becoming his own person. Kuueru watched eagerly, her mind subconsciously worried about the wellbeing of Null; still, she had to remain tough. She had to be a mentor, someone with the guidance and hard-handed teaching methods the man needed to get through this place. That's when he finally did it. A release of fury filled energy erupted around Null, his dark and chaotic aura forced the woman to stumble back a few steps from him. He was fighting, and this time it seemed he had the upper hand. Kuueru clenched a fist eagerly, while she watched the power submerge after a moment. Null was exhausted, mentally and physically. He swayed and stumbled, his body struggling to stay upright. Kuueru could smell the sweat in the air as she marveled at his body's resilience despite all this world threw at him. The demoness took a few steps forward, her body shifting and her back pressing to his bare chest. It wasn't long before she had hoisted the man up and hung onto his thighs which coiled around her small waist. "I know. . . I know. You're going to do wonderfully," Kuueru mumbled before wandering off with the Saiyan in tow. She would find shelter that day, and rest would soon follow. Though, on the horizon was sure to be some intense training, perhaps for the both of them. It had been a week.
A week-long of stabilizing. A week-long of growth. Kuueru had finally gotten used to the old feeling of home, in fact, she perhaps had grown too comfortable. There was a sinister feeling that emanated from her core. It resembled how she felt when she first escaped into the mortal realm; it was worrying. Still, the demoness was basking in the nostalgic power that ran through her veins, as she sure Null was. Day after day she had been pushing the man to his limits. It started with simple meditations, allowing him to familiarize himself with the nuances of the environment. It took a while, but he finally was able to get a hang of the voices in his head, at least, she had hoped so. Another task she had for this training period here was for him to eventually welcome the chaotic energies into his soul. Slowly but surely if he took it at a steady rate, he would be able to handle the newfound power without losing himself to it completely. "All right, manifest another ki blast, equal parts your own ki and the demonic energy," Kuueru commanded, her voice deep and broken by deep breaths of air. She was tired, and their spar session had already been happening for several hours at this point. Not only was Null probably pushing himself to the limits, she was as well. "I'll be ready this time, I want to feel the chaos brimming in your attacks, but I want them to be completely under your control. Yes, you could let out a wild and chaotic attack, but having precision and complete command over it is imperative."Kuueru's entire body glazed over in a brilliant sheen of frozen energy. It was a shield, one for her to be able to fend off his attacks for a while and remain upright on the battlefield. She waited for the blast to come, her pink locks whipping to and from with the rolling breeze. The scent of the demonic realm should have vanished by now; Null should be able to breathe easier at least.

It no longer hurt to breathe. It wasn't that he no longer felt physical pain to draw air into his lungs and expel it. Just existing in this hellish plane of existence inflicted agony upon his mind and body the likes of which Null could never have imagined. It felt as if his body weighed ten times it's normal weight, and as if half of his energy was constantly being siphoned away. Sweat pooled on his brow and slid down the narrow planes of his face. He'd lost some weight in the past week, unable to get proper sleep or food in this place. His skin was clammy and pale, and he was far more gaunt that before. But there was a certain thrill in the struggle, knowing that his Saiyan genetics guaranteed the more he wrecked his body, the stronger his recovery would be. Extending his outstretched palm face up, his muscles went taut with tension as Null struggled to gather the necessary energy. Gathering his own was difficult enough. A small orb of white ki formed in his palm, and he struggled to maintain it. Focusing on the sinister energies swirling around them, he slowly opened his aura, letting the dark energy seep in. It began as a trickle, flowing faster and faster until the orb in his hand had doubled, swirling with black energy. It was perhaps more of the demon energy than his own. The balance was off. But after doing this for several hours now, it was easier to not succumb to the chaos. "Alright then. You'd better be ready!" Rushing forward, he swung wide, launching a powerful blast at her! Kuueru sighed, her sullen eyes focusing on the man who could at least now stand on his own in the barren wastelands they had been training in. Kuueru waited anxiously, her hands digging into her waist she waited to see the fruits of Null's labor. It was the first time he had attacked her, it wouldn't be the last.
There it was though, he managed to manifest the blast. Kuueru focused on the energy in his palm. It wasn't balanced, that much could be said by the way it whipped back and forth in his hand. Kuueru waited though, perhaps he could make use of it regardless.
"I've been ready all-day Null! I hope you're ready for an ass whooping if you don't take me down!" Kuueru laughed heartily, the man moving forward, slinging the ball at her, it seemed to turn into a multitude of attacks, the first two dodged by the woman. The third appeared to hit its mark. A violent plume of dust engulfed the demoness as the salvo made its impact. She didn't wait for it to clear however, she moved with the smoke as a camouflage and moved in for the kill.
Her two firsts were emboldened by an icy energy which only hardened her blows if they would make contact. She went straight for the guy, her right first aiming for a jab. Her left fist tried to clobber the boy from the side.

Her power level had risen so high, Null could no longer sense it. It was something on a whole other level. Seeing her fight here, wrapped in an icy sheen of glittering glory so bright it nearly burned his retinas, it spurred him forward to persevere despite the extreme conditions he faced. She promised that her power could some day be his own. Seeing a glimpse made him desire it even more.
His assault had little effect. And it was all he could do to even dodge as the icy coat of aura that ensconced her fists threatened to deal a blow he would never recover from. Forcing his body to move faster than what would have been previously possible a week ago, Null ducked beneath her jab with success. It was a short-lived victory. His limbs feeling as if they were laden with lead, he could not move fast enough to dodge the second blow.
He barely got an arm up in defense to block it, the staggering impact rippling through his body, sending searing cold through his side. Null cried out in pain, throwing a punch out of instinct that would strike her jaw, though he doubted she even felt it. It did not possess his usual flair and power behind it. Skirting backward to create some room, his labored breathing filled the void between them.
"Wanna see something I've been working on?" An exhausted smirk graced his lips. "I've gotten much better at harnessing the energy around this place. Better not blink." He slowed his breathing to a crawl, closing his eyes. Clenching his fists at his side, Null focused on the energy around him. He trusted Kuu would not attack while he prepared his assault -- no doubt she'd be quite interested.
His gamble paid off. Dark mists began to seep up from the cracked earth at his feet, swirling around his being. It lent a density to his aura, which flowed and ebbed around him, dark energies causing his eyes to begin to glow an ethereal lavender hue. So hypnotic his gaze would be, hopefully long enough to throw her off as he rushed in close, launching his frame into the air, leveling a rapid staccato of spinning roundhouse kicks at her. ❛ICECOLD❜❆
The pink haired woman smiled, watching as his punches seemed to be ineffective against her icy sheen of an armor. Perhaps she should have went easy on the Saiyan and just fought him head to head with no buffer. Still, she wanted the boy to know the full extent of the prowess in battle that he too could obtain. Her entire body suddenly snapped into a giant block of ice. The Earthling form was obscured from view from the dense carapace of frozen water. Then, in an instant, she was free. The woman looked towards Null, but this figure was different. Long horns sprouted from her crown, and her formerly pink locks were now an icy gray. Her skin looks blue and devoid of the life-giving blood, and upon her frame was something that left little up to the imagination.
"Null, you'll have to spend more time here to get used to this place if you want to improve. Even now, if you gave up and quit to return home, you'd be twice, maybe triple as strong as you were. Still, why stop?"
Kuueru mumbled, after her assault the man had tried to punch her, she had barely noticed due to her body moving with a fluidity and grace that resembled a dancer.
Still, Null spoke about a new technique, something that would be sure to impress Kuueru. Of course, she obliged, standing idly as she awaited his shenanigans. It came, some sort of dark aura, and then—his eyes. His eyes.
His….eyes…
Kuueru stared blankly at the man, and once he was satisfied she was in such a trance he moved. Legs flew towards her, and the woman didn't budge. Again, and again the kicked landed upon her face and torso; but still, his power was lacking severely. If one had to guess, Null was still severely weakened by the realm. Kuueru would be sure to test this theory on the mortal side.

The sinister energies that once flooded his body began to wax cold. Perhaps he had pushed his body beyond his limits for today. He could feel it leaking out of him, along with his own natural energy, thus leaving him in a fatigued state not ideal for combat of this level. This was evident by the fact that, just mere moments before, he was able to somewhat withstand her blows. Now her icy strikes rained down upon him, peppering his arms and torso as he tried his best to defend against the onslaught. His ploy to enthrall her worked to an extent, but he lacked so much striking power, it was quite the wasted effort. But to think that he could stall her, even for the most fleeting of moments was astounding. Her power so eclipsed his own that such a feat should have been impossible. Most of his strength sapped from the effort of his hypnotic technique, he was unable to fend her off any longer. Tossing up an arm to guard against an incoming strike, her delicate fist slammed into Null with tremendous force, propelling him forcefully to the side. He flew off the plateau they were training on, slamming into one of the many rocky spires jutting into the mustard skies. A wide crater formed from the impact. His body was wedged into the stone, his head lolling to one side as a dizzying wave of nausea swept over him. Null struggled to lift his gaze, one eye squeezed tightly shut against the trickle of blood that flowed down one side of his face. "...g-good one. You... almost had... m-me..." The world around him faded to black as he lost consciousness. The sudden dead weight was more than the fractured crater could hold as his body pried itself from the crumbling rock and began to tumble down. Down into the darkness and the depths that awaited below... Several Hours Later... A raspy cough shattered the quiet of the small space. He shot up in alarm, blankets falling askew as Null's eyes darted about in a frantic manner, trying to discern his surroundings. They were back in the shared dwelling that Null and Kuueru had called 'home' for the past week. Perhaps it wasn't the safest place to take refuge, being little more than a shallow cave carved into the molten rock of a cliff side. Even now, through the thin mattress Kuu's magic had conjured, he could feel the heat emanating through the stone and smell the rotten stench of sulfur seeping through the cracks that lined the craggy stone walls that made up the makeshift cave home. There was neither sight nor sound of his master. Null collapsed back onto the bed and stared up at the stone face of the ceiling above his head. His mind whirled with the last vestiges of the memory of their spar. He'd been beaten soundly. This was perhaps the fourth time. Or the fifth? Maybe the sixth. The fact remained he had yet to wield the demonic energies in a manner that amplified his ability in battle, not for any significant measure of time, at least. What was he missing? What was he doing wrong? Frustration seeped into his being. He slammed a curled fist against the stone floor, an exasperated breath escaping him. His bandaged ribs protested this action, and Null winced at the pain lancing through his torso. A sudden cold seeped into the dwelling. Even the formidable heat of the demon realm retreated in haste at her icy aura. "At least you bandaged me up this time. Last time you left me to crawl my way back here..." A smirk tugged at his lips as Null turned his head to stare into the darkness before him. He could sense that she had returned. "Don't tell me you're going soft." Queen Kuueru | word count: 5,260

ICE COLD Drat. The man before her still had not perfected the symbiosis between his own power, and this gift that waited in lurking with the demonic arts. She watched his sluggish movements. She observed his attempts to fool and detour her. She had felt his rage build after each failure he faced in this training. Surely, he was getting to a point of wanting to either give up or reach that ledge and jump off to greater power. As much as she had hoped it would be the latter for young Null, the choice was ultimately his own. Her hits landed, and boy did they connect with a powerful blow. Each one slammed into the man's body, releasing a chilling touch that numbed the skin, though the pain would be felt hours later when he was least expecting it. His body shot back, into a jutting spire. Did she use too much force? Cold lavender eyes locked onto the Saiyan, his lips mouthing a few words before he ultimately fell from the crater, and all the way down into the unknown. Of course, she went after him. Of course, she had to make sure he didn't get eaten by some mega crag worm down below.
She had been out, foraging for a few goods with the locals. Of course, she provided them with what they wanted, and in return she obtained some meat that was pure of disease and didn't smell of rotting flesh. That much she could be happy about. She made her way back to the small gave, following the smoke and the smell of the lava which indicated their place of rest. She flew fast, making sure that none of the flying demons overhead took her out of the sky; not that she wouldn't go down fighting. As she arrived, Null was well aware and awake to crack some jabs at her. "Soft? Or tired of waiting on you to recover for the next lesson?" Kuueru chuckled, making her way into the crag and taking a seat next to the boy at the end of the mattress. There was a fire in the cavern, despite the raging lava that surrounded them on the outside. It was cozy though and would suffice as a cooking area for the demoness. She laid out her belonging and looked back at the Saiyan with a concerned look. "At least you're waking up faster. I'd imagine you'd be out for another few hours at least. Maybe you're the one getting stronger, aye?" Kuueru unwrapped what could only resemble two large slabs of meat, she had also gotten some rice from the trading posts she ventured to. She manifested a pot and filled it with some water she had saved up. Quickly the woman began preparing the grain in the pot. "Still, if you prefer me to go harder on you, I certainly can do so," The woman smiled to herself, taking out a few long rods which she had jabbed through the meat slabs. She shoved them into the dirt around the fire to slowly begin roasting their protein for the evening. Null was going to need all the nutrients he could get in order to heal properly and move on to his next task in training. "How do you feel?" Kuueru's voice was somber now. Perhaps even concerned. She tried not to show much empathy for her pupil, but she often wondered if she was training him too hard. What if she was using too much force? This was her first time teaching someone, and she had the opportunity to learn these skills over centuries. Null was trying to achieve this in a matter of months.

"If I were a fool, I'd mistake that for genuine concern." He grunted as he sat up to a seated position. Smirking despite his sore and exhausted state. "You punched me into a cliff. Sad part is I can't decide what hurt more -- you hitting me, or me hitting that rock. Forgive me if I misinterpret your concern for sniffing out weakness. I'm not interested in going home." He gingerly slid his feet into his boots. Tying the laces at a snail's place. Kuueru truly did a number on him. A part of Null was irritated by this. He did not like looking so weak in front of her, or anyone for that matter. Rising to his feet, arm held protectively against his ribs, Null shuffled over and sat down cross-legged before the fire. His skin felt hot and sticky from the humidity of the cave already, but it was less for the warmth and more for the nostalgia. It, along with Kuu, were the only familiar things in this place. The roasted meat began to darken each passing minute, and his stomach growled in protest at the lack of food. When his eyes met hers, beautiful lavender orbs, it was hard to decipher whether his hunger was for the meat... or for her. Probably both. "I am curious when we'll get to see some of these towns and civilizations you mentioned. I may be one of the few mortals alive to lay eyes on this realm for this long. Besides... I want to speak with some of your demon pals." Queen Kuueru | word count: 5,526

ICE COLD Null seemed to move with pain, but at least he was moving. Kuueru cracked a bit of a smile at the fact that he could move merely hours after their spar. That much was improvement in her mind, and improvement was something admirable in her pupil. "Trust me, I'm still holding back, you should be grateful if that rock hurt you worse than my fists," There was a bit of agitation filling the woman's voice as Null taunted her. Alas, he expressed his interest in lingering in the Demon Realm for a while. In fact, Kuueru had quite a momentous graduating task for the Saiyan before he would be allowed to leave; alas, that was in the future. Her eyes followed the man as he put on his boots and sat down across from the demons by the fire. The flickering flame illuminated her brilliant lavender eyes as she gazed across at the man. He looked hungry all right, luckily their meal was finished almost. The woman stirred the pot of rice once to ensure all the water was absorbed and the grain was now tender. Idly she had been turning the skewers of meat to ensure an even cook. "Ironic you ask. I just came back from town. Alas, you completed your training for the night. If you wish to enter the sinful cities perhaps you may even get a lay tonight?" Kuueru teased. While she was mostly joking, brothels and the like plagued the ghettos of the Demon Realm. Succubae waited and lurked, hoping to take advantage of lustful partners for currency or pure enjoyment. Kuueru couldn't say she blamed them. Toying with a partner in that manner was somewhat enticing. She shrugged the impure thoughts before pulling the pot from the flame and setting it between the two. She pulled a skewer from the ground and tossed it to the man with a hearty laugh. "Hell, I may succumb and find me a worthy demon for the night too, eh? We can head out after you eat yeah?"

"A lay, huh?"
It should not have come as a surprise to hear Kuu say such a thing. In truth, Null had thought about it the entirety of their time in this realm. He'd encountered a demoness before -- Amatricina, Demon of Something or Other. She'd spoken with such haughty, lofty words it had been difficult for Null to follow for long.
But his passions had gone haywire in her presence. Here with Kuu, training together and sleeping together in their makeshift abode, it stirred in him a primal urge to divulge himself of her.
He took a meaty bite of his meat slab, chasing it down with a fistful of rice from the bowl he held in his hand.
"That's not quite what I had in mind..."
He wiped the grease from his lips with the back of his free hand, his hard stare fixed on her.
"I'm not saying it doesn't interest me. I would imagine demons are beings of carnal pleasure as well. But before that... there's something I need to know."
His meal sat before him on the warm stone floor, all but forgotten. Null rose to his feet.
"I want to learn magic, and wield it the way you do. That isn't common among my people. In fact, I can't think of a single Saiyan who uses magic, much less to the extent a demon can."
His bravado swelled, he jabbed a thumb at his chest.
"I want to surpass all limits. And if I'm going to be keep up with the likes of you, it's only fair I learn some magic to."

ICE COLD Kuueru nearly fell over into the fire at the man repeating her words. Alas, it wasn't far from the truth. She could smell the lust pouring from the wounded man like a musk. He was needy, as was any person bonded to the flesh. Kuueru included. "Ohhh? I'd figure a few weeks in here, with no privacy to yourself that you'd be longing for your former lover," Kuueru murmured. She didn't mean for her words to offend or upset the Saiyan, merely just to tease. She tore into her own skewer of meat, her tongue savoring the taste of a meat that at least had some quality compared to some of the wild beasts she had killed and ate in the past few days here. She had a lot to offer the locals in terms of trade. Be it carcasses of wild demons or just work as protection for a few hours. Despite the people being demons, some of higher intelligence had the decency to return favors. She watched as the man rose to his feet, his meal still uneaten. "Magic?" Kuueru paused, setting her own meal aside as she leaned back into her hands for a second to think about what Null would even do with such abilities. "All right then. You've proven your worth all this time. I suppose I can teach you. That works out then. We will have to travel to the towns for supplies for a ritual then. We can kill two birds with one stone."
Kuueru tore through the rest of her meat and grabbed the remainder of the rice to devour. The last thing they needed was feral demons rustling through the cavern after their scraps while they were away. "Let's go, the night's still young." The demoness rose to her feet, walking towards the entrance of the cave before she took off expecting the other to follow. It was a good few miles of flight before the faint light of a town came into view. It was quaint, perhaps primitive compared to that of Earth. With constant waves of destruction, it was hard to maintain some semblance of a habitat. Kuueru landed, surrounded by a few buildings constructed of mud bricks as well as some tents. "There is a herb vendor around here, I hear they deal in things magic as well we can use for a demonic ritual. We can infuse you with the inherent ability to wield magic."
