CHARACTER BIO
NAME: Teppei
RACE: MIXED-BREED Saiyan x Demon
AGE: 32
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 5'11/185
APPEARANCE:In his mind he stands at a comparable 6". But, this is generally due to the type of footwear he puts on. All his pairs having to give him this extra boost in height, or he will go without any. He doesn't particularly care what he wears unless it makes him appear to feminine. If he had to pick from a selection his attire would usually be of all dark colors. His color choice doesn't come from his feelings rather it thinks it honestly makes him appear more intimidating. With his mood comes the quality of his clothing however. As at times he could care less about how dirty he actually has gotten. And at times he doesn't want a speck of dirt on his person. His personal hygiene spiking up and down like this as well. When it comes to his physique however there is nothing wishy-washy about it, as he strives and makes sure his body appearances and is in peek perfection. He is noticeably muscular. And like many of his race along with those muscles come scars from varies things. In his case each one comes from a victory within his life. Most of them are on his back rather but he has a few on his chest and right leg. His hair is spiky and always stands at attention(up) when not wet; and his widow's peak just makes it all work. And unlike other's of his race that have their tail through birth or other means his tail in color matches that of his hair.
MOTIVATIONS:He wants to learn more about his Saiyan Heritage currently. With that information he feels like he'd understand what he really needs to do within this life. As he is tired of following others to dead ends, as that what each person he served as done. He feels there is something he has to full-fill but without actually knowing who or what he is he can't achieve that. Added to that he understand how weak he is in comparison to others and pushes his body or kills it as he calls it till he can reach heights were others can't match him. Increasing knowledge as well as his physical capabilities. He does have also something else he wants, well a few things. But, what is at the top of his list is a certain ring he hard about on Planet Cane.
QUIRKS: Teppei likes to talk a lot and and a lot about nothing at times. Giving long-winded responses; but he understands this and uses it to his advantage when he intentionally wants to give a vague response to avoid answering a question. However this doesn't mean it is something he always thinks about. There is a slight difference from when he is talking a lot on purpose and when not. That being the detail. When unintentionally doing it he goes on more about details that many wouldn't notice. When intentionally doing it he attempts to subtly sway the entire question back or onto a new topic. This mainly comes from his habit of lying. He does it mainly due to having to but at times will do it without even realizing. For many this could be considered as issue, but naturally Teppei has developed something that helps he from getting ensnared in his own lies. That being a amazing memory. Not only was it formed through needing to keep up with his lies. But also to make sure that he could take in everything, mainly his surroundings, quickly.
Teppei loves himself more than anything within the world. Putting his value over the life of anything within the world. He however doesn't put his admiration of himself on the forefront. Rather through small things he does you can pick up that he admires himself; but until you catch him in the act of speaking to himself out-loud you will never know how deep his self-love runs. This along with a set back has caused him to be someone that will never be viewed as a true friend or ally, when you fully get to know him. Though, at times he may do things that are self-less they are more calculated than anything, as he is a opportunist. As he weighs the pros and cons. And if he can benefit from a good deeds he will do it, and the same could be said for bad deeds.
BONDS:
Old Man: He never knew his name, rather just referred to him as "Old Man". This individual is the one that raised Teppei on Plant CANE. Teppei never knew how he arrived to this Planet, but knew life was always hard there. And this Old Man was the only person that truly was looking out for him. Teaching him mainly to survive. What he also taught Teppei was that everyone on this planet was dangerous in their own ways. And that he had been on this Planet for many years and seen many horrendous things. Those serious talks always would end in a laugh however from something the Old Man would do. As he always talked about those things when they ate or where about to go to bed. Teppei, as he grew older, understood more and more what the Old Man meant. As at a young age he stayed in a hiding place whenever the Old Man ventured out. But when he got older, well old enough to fly(6), he went out with the Old Man. They rarely saw individuals that looked like them. And during his time with the Old Man there was brief contact with Caneans. Only a few they would visit often. And that was to trade mostly. Watching the Old Man lie about where he got a weapon or funny looking object is what molded Teppei into also being a liar. Fighting the Caneans happened more than often. The Old Man's sly tongue getting them into trouble instead of getting him some profit. Or a scheme that involved Teppei stealing going south, which is did almost 99% of the time. The time on Cane was hard but with this Old Man, who Teppei thinks of as a Father, it wasn't as bad as it could've been. One day however they stole something the Old Man had been looking for, for a very long time. It was a ship, a rinky-dinky rust covered one. They had seen many ships more valuable looking and spacious, but he wanted this one. And when they got it they left Planet Cane.
The journey was horrible as they almost starved until they arrived to their destination, which was Planet Brench. This seemed to be the home world of the Old Man, as many people looked just like him. It was somewhat different from Planet Cane and for a few years (five) they lived comfortably. The Old Man used his sly tongue to garner himself a decent fortune and his home was the size of one of the buildings(prisons) they stayed in on Planet Cane. Sadly, his life had reached a end. The Old Man would pass in his sleep when Teppei was only Eleven.
The Old Man was someone that Teppei only felt true kindness from. And the person that taught him so much about the world. His time on the Planet can was due to his imprisonment on the world. During that time he met so many different people and through doing that he learned certain techniques that allowed him to prolong his life. Though, the amount of knowledge and techniques he had, in his opinion, was bottomless he could only teach Teppei a few moves. Basic abilities for combat and the ability to create things through Magic.
Master Brunch: With the passing of the Old Man came Brunch, Master Brunch. He seized everything the Old Man owned and that included Teppei. Teppei held no citizenship and had been regarded as the Old Man's slave. So, Master Brunch treated Teppei as such. He didn't know the race of the Teppei but soon after making him fight another slave he understood what Teppei was. And that was a Saiyan. Master Brunch had run in with those Saiyan a many of times, and told those stories to Teppei. Usually though they ended with him defeating the Saiyan the story was about. In all honestly Master Brunch hated Saiyans and portrayed them as horrible beings, even though he never met more than five. His hatred stemmed from losing the love of his life to one. She falling for the Saiyan's muscle rather than Master Brunch's gut. And the only reason that Teppei was kept around was due to his strange magical abilities that weren't seen on this Planet. Teppei was used as a show for Master Brunch's many parties. However life hit Master Brunch hard and he began to sell all his slaves or kill them. Teppei was the lucky one to be sold. Through those five years however he learned about what slavery was. But, despite what he went through he didn't know his true feelings on the matter. As he had experienced being a slave but not a Master of one.
General Lunch: A prominent member of a mercenary group on the Planet bought Teppei and many others. Freely them but only under the request they join the group for twenty years. Many didn't care how long they had to stay, and many to this day are still there. As life as a mercenary wasn't that bad at all. They had to fight for the entertainment of others during their time under Master Brunch, so many enjoyed it. Teppei however wasn't one of them. Seeing this and finding out about his ability General Lunch took Teppei as his apprentice. Neither really knew what that word meant as what Teppei mainly was forced to do was make free uniforms with his abilities. Which cut the cost for the. General Lunch was a strange one. As though he shared the same thrust for wealth like the others he rarely used the funds he gained on himself. The powerful mercenary force on this Planet seemed to be something his family had been part of for a long time. And he did whatever it took to make sure those within it where taken care of. His compassion for those under him was comparable to no one else. His sense of duty was beyond anything Teppei had witnessed. General Lunch trained his body day in and day out when not out on a assignment. And with Teppei being his "apprentice" the boy was forced to do the same.
Tragedy always strikes when you are within the spiral of death. As that what is was in General Lunch's eyes. Though he had love for being a Mercenary he knew the only way out was being killed for him. It was a large assignment, over three-hundred elite, were assigned to take out this band of Space Pirates that had been roaming the Eastern Quadrant recently. General Lunch and Teppei were the last standing. General Lunch was someone that had been the last person standing in many of his assignments, and he hated it. He'd rather his Men lived on but he never voiced this. As his first thought was to defeat the enemy before him and overcome. That however would not happen as he would be betrayed by Teppei.
Din-Din: This is the last person to every hold any true connect with Teppei. Din-Din was around the same age as Teppei and they shared many of the same qualities. Their relationship swayed from Best-friends to rivals constantly. The two Saiyans never grew up with others of their kind, and that is what might've drawn them together. However the two would drift apart due to Teppei simply wanting to seek out something.
BACKSTORY:
Teppei never knew his true Parents, but thanks them for having him. What he doesn't know is that they purposely dropped him on Planet Cane to escape pursuers. They ship they were within was damaged but they stopped it and played it off that it could no longer function. And to get away they fired Teppei to the nearest planet in a escape pod. Hiding their power levels to a level so that only Teppei's would stand out. It worked and Teppei would be chased to the Planet Cane, not shot down due to the pursuers wanting to capture those they presumed where inside alive. When the pod crashed and the pursuers came to it they saw there was a child inside, and were disgusted. One attempted to kill him outright however as a mercy killing before they went back to chase the other ship. However this is when the Brenchian that Teppei would refer to Old Man came to the rescue. This stroke of luck was mainly to rob them, but ended up with the Old Man going mad and annihilating them along with the ship he wanted to steal. As he never understood how many could harm the innocent. Which was correct as Teppei was innocent, however so where his pursuers. Teppei was a attempt at the creation of the most brutal of creatures. A forced breeding between a Saiyan and a Demon. However he was found as a failure due to have more dominate traits of a Saiyan rather than a perfect balance. They wrote him off as disposable but instead of being killed outright by them he was used as a test subject. They gained a lot from him and using him as a distraction from those that wished to stop their inhumane tests prevailed.
The Old Man didn't know nor ever found out the details of the situations but knew he had to look after the child. As no one else would. With how harsh the weather was he had to take the boy to a place he didn't want to return to. That being a abandoned prison. It was safe for the most part and even when the child cried he didn't need to fear others hearing him. For the first couple of years just making sure the kid survived was the biggest ordeal faced. But due to his natural toughness he was able to survive. Live on the Planet wasn't much as they did whatever to survive. Scavengers is what they were. Neither could cook so the only decent meal they had would come every few months, until the big job. A job for something that would get them off of this place, and that was a relic of a ship. Though they say many there were certain specs that the Old man needed to get where he wanted to go. They stole it but they almost lost their lives. The fight was something that was the toughest they've ever had faced. They overcame however but mainly due to the sudden anger that came from Teppei that allowed him to push through their foes.
Planet Brench was a different story as it wasn't hard at all, in comparison to Planet Cane. The place they called their home was a testament to that. Teppei enjoyed it the most and though he didn't hang with others his age he learned something that would set him apart from many on the Planet. And that was the magical arts. He showed a aptitude for it before the Old Man began helping him. And soon he was good enough to use that knowledge to run his own scams. The wealth piled up but everything dried up when the Old Man passed of natural causes. It was known that you could lose your currency dealing with the Old Man and with him passing they ransacked the home. Taking what they could use to compensate what they lost. Though Master Brunch came to get just a ring he left with Teppei as well, as Teppei was the one to scam him. Knowing of his ability he used the boy to do what he do with the Old Man from time to time. However, there was no split with the profits. It was a scummy experience where Teppei for the first time experienced being used. He hated every second of it and did something he'd never done before, and that was attempt the downfall of another. As he couldn't outright kill the Man, he knew what would happen.
Killing the Man would make him a criminal and he couldn't survive on his own, he knew that. As Master Brunch was too predominate within the area they stayed in. Running away also wasn't a option due to the collars they wore. It was a strange situation that Teppei never had been in before. Through the years he came up with many plans. Some simple and others elaborate. However, he learned from every failure. And finally his plan came through and he hit Master Brunch where it hurt the most, his pockets. He didn't expect though for some slaves to be killed due to this. And he wasn't sure if he would be sold or killed, and he didn't wish to be either. Sadly, he was sold the night he was to leave. But he wasn't alone when he arrived to his new "Master".
"I will not treat you less than what you are worth. I will treat you how you present yourself."
Out of everything ever said to him by General Lunch Teppei will keep those words in the front of his mind. Even at times repeating them to others. Everything else he learned dealt mainly with combat. As his talents allowed him to work directly under the General. His life within the Mercenary organization was fruitful when it came to information but it wasn't until there was a particular assignment. Dealing with the enemies seemed simple enough till a trap annihilated more than two thirds of the group sent. And with those dwindled numbers they couldn't handle the remaining enemies which caused only two to be left. Those two left were strong, stronger than the rest. General Lunch and Teppei. The Captain of the enemy group gave a ultimatum however that one of them could join his group if they killed the other, as both were impressively strong. There was no hesitation nor remorse with Teppei's attack that killed General Lunch. And once again his way of life took a drastic change once more. However there was freedom like when he was with the Old Man. Just like every place he had been things were rough but he could take it. He grew and kept growing.
