The Demon King WC: 718 TAGS: Doctor Kaijin Vex , Queen Kuueru , Emperor Absolut Flagship Vantage, Wild Space
The gravity chamber whirred. Lute stood in the center of it in only his baggy black pants. Beads of sweat trickled down his brow and pectorals. His torso heaved up and down with exertion. The dial was turned up as high as he could get it without causing issues to the artificial gravitation generators. There were limitations and security protocols in place, frustrating ones. Pushing the generator it too hard would fry the ship's systems and drain the energy core.
Still, Lute was under almost six hundred times Earth gravity. It was enough to crush most creatures into a pulp. For him, it just helped to give him an adequate workout.
He flipped and vaulted through the air, using his ki to propel himself sideways. Panels in the ceiling opened up, a turret unveiling itself and firing bolts of plasma at him. They were nearly impossible to dodge with this much strain on his muscles, yet he did anyway.
He skidded to a stop as one blast almost clipped his calf. Tilting, he swung his hips and snapped his arm forward, firing a retaliatory ki bolt from his finger tip. The turret tucked away just as the blast would have it it, instead bursting against the armored wall panel. Lute hadn't put a lot of power behind the attack, as this was his own ship after all. Last thing he needed to do was break stuff that cost him money and time.
Besides, power wasn't the point of this training session. He was working on his speed and honing his instincts. Lute had never been snappy in a fight. He had always relied on his raw power and his immense aura to shield him from harm. Yet, it didn't hurt to be fast and ready as well. Kamui had shown him that.
Lute, in fact, had been training just for the moment that he got to challenge the Frieza Clansmen again. He wanted to be prepared to keep up with him, to go toe to toe. That fight had cost him a leg and also reputation with his soldiers. Lute knew there were whispers of his defeat among the ranks of the Aetherguard and the elite of Hollow.
This meant doubt and uncertainty in their leader, one they didn't choose in the first place. That wasn't something he couldn't afford his subordinates to feel about him. He had just begun to earn their trust.
Lute needed to kill Kamui. If only to erase the debacle of his defeat,if only to prove to himself that he had what it took. The Demon King had a strong feeling the warrior would show his face during the retrieval of Absolut. And he would be ready this time.
The loudspeaker overhead crackled with sudden sound.
"My lord, Doctor Vex's pod has arrived," the voice of Lord Commander Renvi said.
Lute flicked his wrist, using telekinetic force to pull the lever that turned off the gravity machine. The whirring died down and Lute felt the weight release in an instant. H thought as if he were about to drift off the deck and bounce into the ceiling, without even using his ki to do so. It was mystifying just how buoyant and weightless the body felt in an ordinary artificial gravity field.
The comm channel was still open, so he replied. "Good. Have the Doctor meet me on the bridge."
After a short shower and dressing in his typical attire, the Demon king marched through the bowels of his ship. It was dim and quiet for the most part. He passed quite a few engineering bots that were hard at work on maintenance tasks and upgrades. Lute hadn't hesitated to replace some of his lower ranked staff with the machines. They were tireless and efficient, two key benefits that were hard to argue against.
It's also why he liked Kaijin.
The double doors slid open and Lute strode forward, his boots clicking on the glossy onyx deck. The Vantage's bridge crew were hard at work in their pits and crew stations. Still, the stopped and snapped to attention.
"Doctor Vex. Give me an update on the status of the Slayer bots. Are they ready to go for our operation?"

The Emperor of the Galaxy?
It has been a few weeks since the climactic battle on the Peace Plaza, which once had been sprawling across the surface of Abbayor before its destrution. Or maybe it has only been a few days. Or maybe it has already been a year. The young Frost Demon had long since lost his feeling of the passage of time.
And it was far from the only thing he lost during that time. The sight of Polaris and Cam being ripped to shreds of flesh burning into his eyes made him lose his appetite - what had once been a boy who would gladly stuff himself during each meal, knowing that he needs every single oune to grow stronger, had now turned into a boy who would depart as soon as his plate was empty. The knowledge of all the people he failed to save, including his family, both the biological and adoptive one, made him lose the ability to socialize - though Absolut was not exactly the most talkative person on the surface of Kabocha, having always been wary of these unfamiliar people he now has to live with, at least he used to offer a "Hello" or a "How are you" in the past.
None of that.
During these weeks, however, the young Frost Demon also acquired a new friend. His personal gravity chamber, once used by Cam for training and now, with the Kabochan warlord's death, the place where Absolut spent the majority of his time. It offered everything he would ever need in this time. A reprieve from the horrifying world surrounding him, locking him within a blindingly white dome which no sound or light could pass through. It allowed him to spend hours either immersed in his thoughts, or lashing out at dummies and training bots with all of the anger and frustration built up inside him.
And there was plenty of both. All while a single, inescapable thought clutched onto him from the back, demanding an answer.
What now?
Mr. Cam is dead. Emperor Polaris is dead. Eis and Arctica are most likely dead, Snow and Fridga probably showed them no mercy after their victory. What does this leave him with?
Before the battle on Abbayor, even if Absolut was still faced with difficulty on where his future will lead, he at least knew what his role was now - training and serving under Mr. Cam, trying to show gratitude for looking after him for the whole year and all of the guidance he has given him. This connected him to the Kabochan Confederacy - however, in the end, Cam was the only connection between them. If it was not for him, Absolut wouldn't have even considered an organization of pirates, mercenaries and freelancers as his choice of destiny.
With Cam's death, the Kabochan Confederacy and the Crusher Corps entered a state of leaderless flux. As far as Absolut was aware, @amatricina claimed the position of the leader pro tempore of the Confederacy until a new Emperor can be chosen as Cam's replacement - the young Frost Demon had never met the demoness face to face, but from what he had seen of her in Hypernet transmissions and images, she didn't look like the most likable person to work under. That's the demon species for you.
However, outside of the Confederacy, Absolut had nobody to rely onto. He did not have connections, he did not have allies, he did not even have the sufficient strength to ward off people trying to take his head. And there were many of the latter - the Confederacy served as his shield against assassination and kidnapping attempts, they would be unable to protect him if he fled from Kabocha and tried to carve out his destiny. On the other hand... was he even all that safe here? Mr. Cam set Absolut's protection as a priority and seemed to be invested in that (and so was Absolut in his, something he failed to act upon during the battle of Abbayor, much to his chagrin). Would Amatricina, or any other successor to Cam, continue this priority? The Kabochan wanted to keep Absolut by his side as a potential negotiations chip if the Galactic Empire barrels upon him, and, if possible, to place him in power in Abbayor and Mitra to make sure that the Empire never threatens him again. But would Cam's successor maintain this policy?
And speaking of the Galactic Empire...
The young Frost Demon raised his eyes to the roof of the gravity chamber, clenching his teeth at the feeling of thirty times Earth's gravity pressing him down.
As much as Absolut hated to admit it, it was always going to be an alternate option. His father certainly never had the plan of assassinating him or executing him, if the way how he saved Absolut from death during the battle has anything to say. Sure, he had zero clue on what's happening out there in the North Quadrant right now, the Empire was just as leaderless as the Confederacy was, but... maybe that's what he should take advantage of? Surely, the interim leadership of the Empire would want to have a legitimate successor to the Emperor on the throne...
No! No no no! What the hell are you thinking?! No!!
Absolut violently shook his head, trying to rid it of the disgusting thought.
He's not going to follow his father's lead. He's not a murderer, a tyrant.
There's only one path he could take, and that's the path of someone who does good, not evil.

Post by Queen Kuueru on Jan 3, 2019 12:46:54 GMT -5
ICE COLD Kuueru had been preparing for this day for a while. The kidn----reclaiming of future Emperor Absolut was now upon the Leviathans. A week prior the demoness had been hard at work with a new Empire recruit ( zarun ) to scout out the planet of Kabocha whilst remaining undercover. They noted the immigration, weapons and the security not only of the orbit of Kabocha, but on the surface as well. The pair had scouted out Pukinpa, the capital, and seemingly located the building in which they most like suspected Absolut to be within. While Kabocha seemed to be on guard with the loss of their prominent leader, they were indeed a band of mercenaries who were quick on their feet. They would rebuild, and knew better than to leave Absolut out in the open for such easy pickings. She had narrowed this down to the fact clusters of power levels lurked inside, and as soon as they spent one too many minutes outside, they were captured. Duria, loyal right hand to Cam and a Saiyan warrior apprehended both Kuueru and Zarun and interrogated their reason for lurking on the surface. Fortunately, the pair were able to narrowly escape and hypnotize the man to forget the incident. That is, after getting as much information about Absolut as they could. Hopefully this course of actions would leave the Leviathans without hiccups and advance the possibility of successfully removing the young frost demon. At least, that was the point of her entire visit. Kuueru in fact had been taking her duties as a commander in the Empire rather serious as of late. The woman enjoyed the sense of purpose and the aspect of leading others in a mentoring fashion. She had proved so not only with those within her imperial ranks, but others she met in her time exploring the galaxy. It always seemed that her power drew those in, whether they sought out a fight or guidance. Something about that magnetism drove the demoness to direct those who were weaker to the path of strength and opportunity. The demoness popped into existence upon the lavish ship of the Demon King himself. Her gaze lingered around as she tried to figure out which chamber she was in. If this was the vessel they would be using to extract Absolut, hopefully it wouldn't stand out too much. Kuueru's boots clicked against the katchin floors of Lute's ship as she made her way to him and the rendezvous area. The ship was in no means small, and if not for her ability to sense Lute's aura she would surely be lost for a good few minutes. Still, the doors to the deck hissed open and there the woman found her viridian comrade. She approached him, her tired eyes focusing on his fresh pressed clothing and bland smell before taking a seat in one of the various chairs scattered throughout the deck. The room was a command station to say the least, and a beautiful one at that. Kuueru felt a bit of envy stir within her chest just marveling at the various arrangements and panels. She wasn't the person to use a ship often due to her ability to teleport however, there were still times where the woman would bring along more than one person and one was better suited. "Good day Lute, I see you're doing well," Kuueru responded before sniffing the air once more. She could sense his power; each time she visited the man it seemed his power had intensified tenfold. Still, her own strength wasn't stalling. She was hard at work training. How could she be a leader to others if she didn't practice what she preached? She pushed herself, aiming to at least close the gap between her power and the Namekians. "I imagine Doctor Kaijin should be joining us soon? Heh, what a guy," Kuueru chuckled and reminisced about her and the android's bout a few days prior. They figured it would be best to test each other out as partners before the beginning of a tournament they decided to join as partner. Kaijin bested the woman in battle, not that she was putting forth her best foot. Still, the same could be said about her opponent. "He beat quite the shit out of me a few days ago, I'm still trying to cover the bruises on my body. It's not cute at all," Kuueru mumbled while pulling up the left sleeve of her tunic to admire the scars left from a searing attack. It was still fresh, even her sessions to the rejuvenation tanks and Kaijin's medical aid couldn't work miracles for her injuries. "Damn though, what a ship? It's good to see you're certainly spending the Zeni you're making off Hollow's economy; hell, you should wire me some funds too if you ever have too much! It'll be like old times where I used your personal credit card."

Onboard "The Third Eye", Wild Space
Kaijin had been a busy Android.
Since his initial encounter with the Leviathans, Kaijin had been back and forth between the Leviathans world of Hollow, and Tech Tech. The reason was simple. Setting up an underground laboratory on the planetoid was no easy task, and required a great deal of digging and excavating into....whatever Hollow was made out of. And then there was his business dealing with Creed Cybernetics, which required his attention too. In fact, in recent days he had dedicated more and more time to Creed Cybernetics, in the attempt to finish the project that he had dubbed "Project Ambience", which would in turn complete what Lute had tasked him with, which was the modification of the SLAYER R8 Prototype automatons, Tech Tech marvels of technology with high grade weaponry, advanced sensors and reinforced armor plating. It almost hurt Kaijin to pick it apart.
But he did it, with the vision of re-assembling it into something more. Something better.
He turned the Slayer Bots into Project Riot.
"We have arrived in rendezvous with the remainder of the Leviathans. Awaiting orders." A low pitched, robotic voice resonated across the bridge of the giant, spherical vessel that largely resembled an Arcosian Attack Pod, just with bigger dimensions. The bridge was cast in shadow, the only light filtering in coming from the distant stars that filled the otherwise all encompassing emptiness of Wild Space.
Doctor Kaijin Vex stood at the viewport, overlooking the stars, his blood red eyes taking in the beauty of it all. Stargazing was one of his many pleasures. Here, in the silence of his vessel, he could stare and dream. Looking past just his worldly problems and basking in the life of outer space. The constant light. The warmth of the stars. It filled him with life. Imbued him with the energy to keep going. To Kaijin, he was more than just a robot. Even if he knew logically that he was nothing but an imitation, crafted to look and act like a human, he couldn't help but feel that he had a spark that other automatons did not have. That someday, he could evolve past the limitations of man and become real. That he could become human. That for him, to achieve the basis of life that most organics enjoyed from birth was merely a road that he had to journey, instead of having it gifted to him.
The stars did not judge him, did not shun him for daring to think that he could be alive, that he could have what everyone else enjoyed and took for granted. The silence was relaxing. Tranquility, even in ever existing chaos.
Looking down at his bandaged palm, Kaijin felt artificial energy rushing to the center of his palm, allowing a small white ball of light to form, casting a soft glow over the Android's alabaster like skin.
"Then, let's go." The good doctor responded softly.
Fifteen Minutes Later
Clack Clack Clack.
Kaijin's boots clicked and cracked against the pristine katchin flooring of the flagship as he sauntered his way through it, his eyes skirting back and forth as he took note of the amount of eyes on him, both automaton and organic. News had spread like wildfire of the Doctor's inclusion into the ranks of the Galactic Empire, and his rather swift ascension of rank, as well as his association with the likes of the Demon King and Hollow Baroness. Frankly, between the Android Doctor and the other scientist by the name of Doctor Nikolas Grey, many soldiers normally decided it best to steer clear of the intellectual types, for they often proved the most curious, and the more willing to satisfy such curiosity through...questionable experimentation.
They weren't wrong.
But today, was different. Eyes were not simply drawn because of Kaijin's presence, but because of his entourage. Kaijin ignored the lot of them, his eyes locking on each of them, but not a word was said, the only sounds that could be heard was the constant clicking and clacking of feet on the floor, and the inevitable whispers between soldiers once the Android left that section of the hallway.
Eventually, the Android arrived at the bridge. Much like Kuueru, Kaijin had only managed to find the bridge so quickly due to detecting both the energy signatures of Kuueru and Lute in that position, otherwise he would have immediately asked for directions for navigating a giant vessel such as the one Lute decided was suitable for piloting across space. Stepping inside, Kaijin slowly smiled as his gaze rested upon Lute and Kuueru.
"My friends...forgive me for being late to the party. Last minute preparations." The Android said in a soft, yet clearly audible voice, his eyes drooping, adopting a rather lazy, sleepy look about him.
"Allow me to get right down to business. Presenting...Project Riot. Riot Soldiers." Kaijin said, holding his arm out to reveal his entourage.
The Riot Soldiers shifted, their singular red eye glowing red as they crouched down and prowled about, their blades strapped to their backs, their bodies moving in silent, near rhythmic movements as they circled the trio, each Riot Soldier moving about on all fours, like a Panther prowling in the night.
"Awaiting order to assassinate targets..." One Riot Soldier spoke in a deep, low pitched voice, all six of the Riot Soldiers' eyes glowing once more with that eerie red light.
"Stand at ease." The doctor said, placing his arms behind his back.
"I disassembled each and every Slayer Bot you gave me, and completely recrafted them, using my own designs. I deviated from every known design style, completely basing it off of my own ingenuity. Organics call it..."creativity". It is pleasurable to know I am developing some of what I thought was impossible for me to attain. I broke them down into sleek, agile assassins capable of slitting someone's throat in the dead of night without a single word spoken between neither assassin nor victim, as they are to blow up a continent in a single blow. Each and every single one of these Riot Soldiers have been equipped with what I dubbed "Project Ambience", a brand of technology integrated that these robots share with me, for it is integrated into my own form. Although they merely have Version One, while I have Version Two. With it, the Riot Soldiers are capable of maximizing their energy efficiency, bringing out their latent energy and coalescing it into giant bursts of energy, thus allowing for maximum damage efficiency, or maximum defense capability. Nothing will be put to waste. Their agility and battle speed is perhaps even greater than my own, and make both silent killers, and weapons of mass destruction. All you need to, is give the order."
Kaijin walked behind one of the Riot Soldiers, and tapped it's spine, causing it to jerk forward, straightening up as it was being inspected.
"Creator?" The Riot Soldier inquired, confusion marking its' tone. Kaijin placed his finger over the robot's voice modulator, as if shushing a small child.
"Shhhh...." He whispered, before looking back to Kuueru and Lute," As I said I would do, each soldier is equipped with failsafes. If they are killed, their memory core will self destruct, melting away all stored data. Project Ambience and Project Riot are both technological advances created originally for Creed Cybernetics, however the soldiers with me now and on my ship are unmarked in every form. If the soldiers are destroyed, the energy core and the technological implants for Project Ambience will also self destruct. The last thing I need is for someone to steal the fruits of my labor." The good doctor said, barely able to control his excitement. This was by far, the happiest the doctor had ever been seen as by the two. He bubbled about with a near childlike glee, it was nearly infectious.

The Demon King WC: 974 | TWC: 1,692 TAGS: Doctor Kaijin Vex, Queen Kuueru, Emperor Absolut
Lute managed a chuckle when Kuueru mentioned that Doctor Vex kicked her ass. He understood why, after facing the android himself. Doctor Vex was a resilient bastard, and on top of that much of his fighting style was the exact opposite of Kuueru's. It wasn't at all a surprise that she had struggled against him. But, that didn't mean that the Demon King wouldn't give her a hard time about it.
"You've gotten significantly stronger Kuueru, but you need to train still. Drinking wine and eating steak and street sausages does not count as training."
Kuueru's comment about Lute spending Hollow's money was misguided.
"I would never spend the colony's tax money. I have plenty of my own funds, if need be. This ship doesn't belong to me, it's commissioned to the Black Fleet. But, as the commander of the fleet's forces, I have chosen to use it as my personal flagship."
After saying it, he imagined Kuueru knew what he meant. She was the type to tease and prod someone to get a rise. And Lute always fell for it, for some reason.
Doctor Vex arrived and with him a cadre of war-bots. Lute was taken aback by just how different they looked from the Slayer models. Still, they looked appropriate for a stealth mission, which is what this was intended to be. The Demon King folded his arms, his expression flat. Despite the fact that he was impressed, he didn't let on to it. They still hadn't proven themselves in combat, but Lute trusted Doctor Vex's abilities. So far he had proven to be a powerful asset to both the Leviathans and the First Galactic Empire.
"Excellent," Lute said, locking eyes with Kaijin. They have a lot to prove then. Let's see if they are as capable as you've presented them to be. Let's get to the mission briefing."
Lord Commander Renvi, the leader of the Aetherguard stepped forward. The grizzled battle-mage surveyed the ranks of machines, his obsidian staff tapping on the deck as he passed.
"My lord, I am never a fan of using automatons over real soldiers during an operation. But, in this particular mission, I can see the merits of using machines. Especially those that can destroy themselves if compromised. Prisoners of war are always a problem."
Renvi approached the main console and tapped a button, a holo-display springing to life in front of the group. It showed the swirling green-blue orb of Kabocha. Lute had heard about the recent terraforming of the planet. It had previously been a desert world, barren and filled with drifting sands. Legends said that Tree of Might had drained its genki and all of its lush greenery died off. It was rather odd how fast the planet had recovered since Cam's ascension to leader. Lute wondered just how that was possible. The entire thing stunk of magic, it stunk of divine intervention. Only the gods had power like that over creation.
It made him sick, antsy with rage. He couldn't wait to punish them, to end their meddling with the mortal realm. He was eager restore the universe to its primordial state, to its natural way.
The hologram zoomed into a massive metropolitan area--the capital city of Pukinpa.
"The Confederacy is a loose coalition of disparate factions. This is a huge advantage, as it lessens their security a great deal. The Confederate fleets are composed of ships of every make and model. There's little consistency or uniformity. It wasn't hard for us to steal a transport shuttle and acquire high level clearance codes, with Doctor Vex's help. You will use the codes to slip past their orbital defenses with little effort and then land at the palace's private landing docks."
The Lord Commander paused, eyes narrowing on Kuueru. "Thanks to the Baroness's efforts, we know exactly which compound that Absolut has been staying in. If we target him during the night, it's possible he'll be asleep and easily captured."
Renvi flicked his wrist produced a scroll in a ghostly blue magical flame. He tossed it to the demoness. "That scroll contains a powerful spell to put Absolut into stasis, if he resists. It will allow you to transport him back immediately."
The Lord Commander then waved his hand, producing three small crimson crystals in a second puff of blue flame--handing one to Lute, Kuueru, and Kaijin.
"The Kabochans are not slouches went it comes to the mystical arts. There will be wards in place around the palace grounds that will prevent direct teleportation by unwanted individuals. Those ruby quartz crystals work as extraction beacons. So long as you carry one on your person, we should be able to open up a portal to you directly. Worse case scenario, I know the Baroness is a highly capable spell-caster with powerful teleportation magic at her disposal. She could get you out of there."
Lute jumped in, taking over the second part of the briefing.
"Kuueru and I will be riding in the shuttle together. Doctor Vex, you will be heading to Kabocha on a freighter with your warbots. You will arrive in the Pupinka's spaceport district. There you will create the distraction we nee. Lead them in a full on assault against the palace. Once the security forces are engaged in battle, rendezvous with Kuueru and I to make the extraction. I anticipate that we'll find powerful warriors guarding the Emperor. So, we'll need to be on our toes and work together."
His eyes locked on Kuueru and then onto Kaijin. "I want to minimize the amount of collateral damage and casualties, if possible. We'll use disguises to ensure that no one suspects the Empire to be responsible."
The Lord Commander shut off the holo-display, the image of Pukinpa disappearing into wavering lines.
"Any questions?"

The Emperor of the Galaxy?
Planet Abbayor, five years ago.
"Mom, Mom! Mom!"
The words echoed all across the Frost Demon family's small apartment, filling up the corridors and rooms with Absolut's excited voice - though her husband was more than wealthy enough to procure them the most fancy and vast mansion known to man with a thousand servants and housemaids, Eis desired nothing more than this humble five-room dorm. She knew exactly what kind of illicit means her husband applies to acquire all of that wealth and wanted no part in it. Carrying Arctica in her arms, the six year old girl napping in her mother's arms, Eis made her way across the central corridor connecting all of the rooms in the apartment with the door to the stairwell and stepped into Absolut's room, taking a deep breath - when you suddenly jumped from your seat upon your son's scream to rush to his room and check whether anything terrible happened to him, you're bound to get a little plucked up.
"I'm here, I'm here... Absolut, what's going on?"
Her son was sitting on his spinning chair by his writing desk, curled up in a fetal position and holding onto his legs, the bright light of a computer screen reflecting on his excited face. Upon hearing his mother step into the room and ask what's going on, Absolut turned his face and replied:
"Mom, Dad is on stream right now!"
Oh. Perhaps she should have assumed this from the get go, watching streams on the Galactic Hypernet is the second most common activity Absolut does when he's not in school or exercising, the first one being playing video games like any other kid of his age. But if her husband is apparently on the Galactic news stream right now, then, of course, she's got to check what the fuss is all about. Maybe Polaris is going to do something different this time. Setting down Arctica on a nearby cushion - the little girl immediately woke up with a yawn and blinked a few times to see what's happening around her - Eis walked up to Absolut's chair and turned to the computer.
The stream showed an ongoing battle on one of the Galactic Patrol's peripheral planets, filmed by someone with a very shaky camera and an apparent death wish, as he was brave enough to venture into what was now the ruins of a luxurious palace, into the vicinity of a high speed clash between two powerful ki wielders. After a series of shockwaves coming from clashes too fast to be caught by the camera, the two combatants finally stopped, having entered into a clash of elbows, both trying to push each other before leaping back and taking a few seconds of reprieve. One of the two combatants was easily recognizable through his light blue skin and the burning purple aura concentrated in his finger, indicating him as preparing a Fissure Slash - Lieutenant Polaris, one of the most famous members of the Galactic Patrol and the popularly proclaimed "Hero of the Galaxy". The other combatant was a seven foot tall Xeno of a green skinned frog-like amphibian species, his left hand amputated many years ago and replaced by a cybernetic blaster arm.
Absolut was likely unaware of his identity, only seeing him as a faceless evildoer for his heroic father to subdue, but Eis recognized him as Sun Chua, a notorious smuggler and space pirate ring leader operating in the edges between the Northern and Eastern Quadrants - and seeing him battling with her husband came to the Patrolwoman as a surprise. Polaris and Sun Chua were fairly close allies, the former making sure to keep the Galactic Patrol off his back and the latter providing him with cheap mercenaries and doing contract work under the Ultramarine wing. Seeing them clash today could only mean that something went wrong in their relationship. Perhaps Polaris decided that the space pirate leader was no longer a useful asset and starting to turn to a liability? Or maybe Sun Chua failed to fulfill his duties and screwed up on some important contract. There could be a million of possible answers and only her husband knew the real one, but the easiest to presume is that Polaris no longer needed him.
Of course, Absolut did not know any of that. And Eis made sure to not have him know any of that. Maybe she'll tell him one day... or maybe his father will. For now, the Patrolman only watched as the young Frost Demon bit his nails while Sun Chua closed in on Polaris and attacked him with a barrage of physical strikes, and clenched his fists from excitement once the Hero of the Galaxy went on the counteroffensive, striking the evildoer with several Fissure Slashes from the tip of his finger. As Sun Chua's defense was getting more and more worn down, the Frost Demon chose to finish the battle with one ultimate technique. Dissipating the energy concentrated within his index finger, Polaris waved his hand across the air, generating a barrage of energy javelins which pierced the battered space pirate from multiple directions, leaving him looking like a seven foot tall pin cushion before finally detonating in one concentrated, energetic and beautiful explosion. If there's one thing which Polaris knew how to do right, it's to make his fighting style look graceful and yet terrifying at the same time. Few pirates and criminals could claim that they did not fear the constant onslaught of damage which the Frost Demon would bring at their faces.
Sun Chua's body fell towards the ground out of the crimson cloud, caught in mid air by Polaris himself, all while dozens of Ultramarines from behind the camera started to rush into the ruins of the palace below. Victory. And it sparked Absolut to cheer.
"He did it!" Absolut exclaimed, throwing his fist into the air out of excitement. Of course he did it. He's the Hero of the Galaxy for a reason, after all. "He beat up that evildoer without a sweat! Bam, bam, wham!"
The young Frost Demon leapt off from his seat as Eis's eyes continued to trail after him, stopping in the center of the room.
"Did you see that combination Dad used, Mom? He first went like this..." Absolut exclaimed, flailing his finger towards the puzzled Arctica standing in front of him as if he is trying to wipe away something, trying to imitate the Fissure Slash. "And then he did this!" Absolut continued by slowly trailing his hand across the air, as if thousands of Petal Dance javelins were gathering around him as he did so - then suddenly leapt up to Arctica and began rapidly poking her in various directions, instantly getting her to crouch and shout:
"Aaah! Moooom, Abs is tickling meee!"
Laughing, Absolut picked up Arctica by her arms and raised his sister to the air, shaking her wildly as if to simulate a Petal Dance explosion.
"Waaaagh!"
"Haha, begone, evildoer!"
Absolut suddenly stopped, however, when with the corner of his eye, he saw Eis standing next to the two kids, and her face seemed unamused. The excitement in his face shifted to worry and he put his little sister down, folding his palms behind his back and looking down, muttering:
"I'm sorry, Mom, I'm not going to do it again..."
Eis was not worried about the two children playing, however. She knew exactly where Absolut's undying interest in his father and his heroism would lead - and no matter how much she would want to discount as mere childish emulation of an idol which will go away with time, it still pained her heart to see it unfold. And yet, she knew it would be even more painful for her to shatter this pretty pink world Absolut is living in.
"Don't be sorry, Absolut..." Eis replied, placing her hand on the young Frost Demon's head, in response to which he formed a hearty smile. "Maybe don't shake your sister so wildly, though."
Absolut responded with an energetic nod. The energy with which the youth would do anything once his spirit was envigorated by seeing his idol warmed Eis up a little.
He may be following a false prophet, but the woman was sure that he would not tread the same path.

Post by Queen Kuueru on Jan 5, 2019 20:42:13 GMT -5
ICE COLD Kuueru was about ready to jump out of her chair and beat the Namekian senseless at his comments on her dietary habits, alas—there wasn't much time before the good doctor had arrived with his clan of creepy cyclops bots. Instead she shot him a look that would scare even a serial killer. His banter wasn't over yet, but she tended to block out Lute's words if they weren't imperative to the tasks at hand. Perhaps in this case, it was for the better. The look upon Kaijin's face was undeniable. It was joy, happiness and excitement. Whatever he had done with these automatons was something of a miracle, and surely the man would quickly go about explaining it all soon after. Kaijin quickly apologized for showing up late to the meeting when he was more than likely right on time. Alas, Kuueru was the type to always show up early to affairs. How could she not when she had the ability to instantly teleport to wherever she needed to be? It was a useful skill, especially when she made dinner reservations that she had forgotten about until last minute. The demoness cleared her mind and focused on Kaijin, his explanation on his doings to the slayer bots was in layman's terms at least.Still, the way they crawled about the room like something out of a horror movie was unnerving enough. Her lavender orbs tracked the weird creatures before Kaijin began ordering them around like puppets. They were sentient and designated the Doctor as their master. She would have to inquire later if she could have one of them, for personal use of course. Kaijin beamed as he explained his story with the remodeling of the robots. He seemed to carry a great love for emulating organics, perhaps it was his dream to one day to not even have his android origin be a thought. I suppose that was sort of the objective for all creators with their androids however. Still, the ambition of devotion that Kaijin put towards this section of the groups project was admirable. He had covered all the bases, even going as far as to add his own flare into the software side of thing. These bots were running off the best things that money, and a good mind could provide, so Kuueru had no doubts about utilizing them in this mission. "What do you think?" Kaijin's voice resembled a child asking a parent how much they liked his drawing. Kuueru quickly bounced from her set and looked at the robot that Kaijin had touched. It was tall, muscular, and oddly arousing. Her attention then shifted towards the android who still eagerly awaited feedback. Lute of course gave him such. "Wow Kaijin, these guys seem like they are ready to rip and shred. Color me impressed doctor? I may have to use one to train so I can repay you for that ass beating last week," Kuueru hissed while making uncomfortable eye contact with the android. She leaned in, her hand patting the pale man upon the shoulder before Lute, and Renvi commanded their attention. The watched as the Aetherguard man approached the stage for his briefing. His staff was clearly a bit overkill. Still, it seemed that all wise old mages carried them around as some sort of status symbol. Perhaps Kuueru should keep up tradition and carry on like he did? She chuckled at the thought as the man continued his briefing, eluding to the usefulness of Kaijin's creations and how they planned on executing the mission and returning. The demoness couldn't help but feel her cheeks fluster at the mention of herself. Not only was she being referred to as the 'Baroness' but her effort on Kabocha were noted as well. "Right, those Kabochans can be tricky bastards when it comes to magic. Also, their sight is impeccable," Kuueru threw in a few loose noted before turning to Lute once his part of the briefing was over. It was clear that the mission was now, so there was only time to progress. "Well then, I hope you're all ready then," Kuueru mumbled before making her way to the 'hanger bay' of the giant vessel. There the two ships to be used lay waiting. Both were fueled to the brim, landing codes already inputted into consoles. Everything was in place for them to land inconspicuously on Kabocha. Even nestled within the storage of the ships were their disguises. Of course, the demoness didn't have to worry, she was constantly in disguise and could change the appearance at will depending on the situation."Good luck Kaijin," Kuueru mumbled before loading onto the vessel she and Lute were to take. She walked into the hull with relatively good thoughts. Still, what disguise should she take for such a trip. She was even more curious as to what disguise the Namekian would take. Would he continue on as a viridian giant? Or would he utilize a technology that hide even more than that? The demoness chuckled to herself before she decided on the form to take. In a flash her pink locks were replaced by a ponytail of brilliant orange. Her face appeared even younger than before, but still that of an adult. Her wardrove was still archaic, but the hues were shifted to more oranges and yellows to match her hair. The demoness strode to the front of the ship before taking a seat and strapping herself in. The coordinates for Kabocha were already set, and once her commander in chief was ready, they would hurl off into the darkness of space. They were traversing to the South quadrant of the universe, so they had a bit to contemplate their plan and coordinate things outside of the initial briefing. Still, Kuueru felt confident as the ships hurdled through the vast void of space.

Post by Doctor Kaijin Vex on Jan 6, 2019 17:53:43 GMT -5
The good doctor was elated.
His works of art were working better than he had expected. He had doubted their abilities at first when he imbued them with Version Two of Project Ambience, allowing them the same level of energy absorption as he possessed, which was where initial glitches were starting to show. However, his switch back the more commercial Version One proved to fix everything, and bring even more potential for destruction out of the synthetic creations than Kaijin had ever hoped. He looked forward to testing them in battle.
Even more so that he received praise for his work. Lute, as he expected, kept a rather neutral view on the robots, reserving his judgement until he saw them in action, which was a fair observation, for Kaijin knew that he merely had to impress the Namekian warlord on Kabocha, rather than on his flagship before the extraction. As for Kuueru, her praise rose Kaijin's spirits tenfold, and he grinned back at her. For a moment, the doctor looked less like a cold, calculating robot. Less like an all knowing scientist who acted decades older than he looked. And like your average, peppy teenager. It really brought to question whether his emotions were real, or whether they were just another aspect of his programming, meant to mimic emotion.
"Project Riot is free for the Leviathans to use as they wish. You can most certainly utilize my automatons to assist in training. And, don't think for a second that I believe that you were fighting at the fullest of your capabilities. Remind me to inquire about your trick to disappear and reappear in the blink of an eye, almost like teleportation. It's been bugging me for quite awhile." The good doctor said as he sauntered over to join Lute and Lord Commander Renvi as they ran over their debriefing. He had met the Lord Commander once before, when he was summoned to the man's side to assist in obtaining the clearance codes and the means capable of infiltrating the planet without alerting the orbital defense stations of their presence. After all, this was not an invasion. They didn't have the numbers nor resources at hand for an invasion. Besides, even without Carambolis, the Kabochan Confederacy would still prove a tough nut to crack, and even with the assistance of Kaijin and his creations.
Thus, they had to do this quietly.
"I am capable of transferring my consciousness across the greater computerized universe, as long as I have a medium. When it comes to hyper-intelligent artificial intelligence, Kabocha has no defense. It was elementary to acquire the necessary information." Kaijin explained to the remainder of the group, crossing his arms as he listened.
According to Kuueru and Renvi both, the Kabochans seemed quite well versed in the mystical arts, a specialization that Kaijin knew little about, and couldn't even practice if he tried. He lacked a soul, which was one of the prime requirements to practice the mystical arts. However, he theorized that in the end, science was much like magic. One just had to be adept enough in it to outdo the competition. The Kabochans were so powerful with their knowledge of the arcane? That was fine, for Kaijin wasn't the type for the direct and fair competition anyway.
When the team broke to their respective stations, Kaijin turned on his heel, heading towards the hangar,"I'll see you all on the surface." He said, flashing a wink as he exited the bridge, the six Riot Soldiers following close after.
The transport and cover story he had acquired was simple, and suited perfectly for the role he was playing in this extraction. Or rather, the role his Riot Soldiers were to play. The freighter, dubbed the "Pride of Kabocha", was a refugee vessel, commanded by Captain Tersa Hiliot, a Kabochan born man with no outstanding notes. In light of the Peace Accords and the recently halted Saiyan-Imperial War, refugees from war-torn planets had been racing to various planets in the Eastern Quadrant, due to the Kabochan Confederacy's reputation for being a haven for freedom. In addition, the death of the Tree of Might had made the planet much more hospitable for those who were not used to the rough and tumble that the Kabochans had become accustomed to. That being said, refugee ships were not uncommon.
And as such, one more refugee ship would not cause a fuss. Especially if it had the proper codes.
Opening the landing hatch to the vessel, Kaijin revealed four more Riot Soldiers already waiting inside the vessel, making for a team of ten Riot Soldiers and Kaijin himself for this distraction. Was a force of only ten soldiers appropriate for such a big job? No, if it were any other military force. But these were Kaijin's elite Riot Soldiers. They would get the job done.
He was sure of it.
Southern Quadrant, Planet Kabocha
"We're nearing Kabocha." Kaijin said, his voice coming out rather harsh and metallic sounding behind his mask. He had decided to find the most theatrical set of armor he could possibly find, and he was almost ashamed to admit he was growing quite fond of it.
Call it dramatic, but Kaijin called it fashion. Hell, he might even wear it more often when on missions such as these. It certainly did make him look menacing. Besides, while it would've helped Kaijin blend in more if he remained in his normal overcoat, it wasn't his job to blend in. It was his job to keep the Empire's name out of people's mouths when people wonder how a catastrophe such as this could've happened in the first place. His part was to offer a distraction. And that meant drawing attention to himself.
"Kabocha Orbital Command hailing down approaching vessel! Identify yourself and await clearance to land on the surface!" A voice boomed from the holocommunicator.
Without so much as a word, a lone Riot Soldier walked across the cockpit and punched in the commands to open a channel with the station. When it spoke, gone was the metallic, deep voice that was the default setting of the automatons. In it's place was the near perfect impersonation of a young male, with a clear Kabochan accent," Captain Tersa Hiliot of the "Pride of Kabocha". We got another band of refugees on board. Bringing them to Pukinpa for processing before relocating them to their proper facilities. Transferring Clearance Codes now, remaining on standby."
With that, the Riot Soldier stepped back, and silence ensued as the clicks of computer keys being pushed were heard as the officer on board the station processed the clearance codes. After a few moments, the officer came back on the line.
"Proceed. You know where to take them, Captain. Welcome home."
"Thank you, sir." The Riot Soldier said before closing the channel.
Chuckling, Kaijin moved back into the pilot's seat," Excellent." He praised before beginning the initial descent down upon the planet. The landing was swift, and before they knew it, the capital city of Pukinpa was upon them, and the hustle and bustle of the planet's biggest spaceport was within sights. Steering the vessel, Kaijin made his way towards the allotted landing pad.
"Activate disguises now. Alien Refugees. Choose your race." Kaijin instructed as they landed. One by one, the Riot Soldier's forms began to shift as electrical energy began to encompass them. Built within each of the Riot Soldiers was state of the art holographic technology, further eluding to their primary purpose being for assassination. Such technology allowed them the means to assume the form of various organic species with near pinpoint accuracy. While accurate, the disguises wouldn't hold up in heavy combat, and would fail once struck with significant force. But, the good doctor didn't need the disguises to be in effect for long. Just long enough for the distraction to begin.
"Once the lights go out, begin the operation." Kaijin said, as the conglomerate of bodies, the Riot Soldiers now taking the form of various, poorly dressed, Xeno refugees, filed out of the vessel, spreading about, looking around with expressions of awe, adopting the look of the typical refugee upon finding a place that wasn't as devastated and war torn as their home planet.
Kaijin was the last to exit the vessel, due to his rather strange disguise, and didn't waste any time, making a beeline for the nearest computer terminal. The Android couldn't help but crack a small smile behind his mask as he remembered the last time he attempted this trick. It was how he met Lute and Kuueru. Come to think of it, if the Android hadn't made an error and shut off the lights on that particular day in Tech Tech, he wouldn't how found the two people that he could adequately call....friends.
"One of the few times I'm glad that I'm not perfect..." The good doctor muttered as he pointed a single finger into the air, releasing a needlelike protrusion, meant to be fitted into the port of a device, to connect him to the system. Moving to connect, Kaijin waited a moment for the computer to accept him....
And then the spaceport's lights blacked out. Word Count: 1,540 | Total Word Count: 2,870 | Lute | Emperor Absolut | Queen Kuueru

The Demon King WC: 1,297 | TWC: 2,989 TAGS: Doctor Kaijin Vex , Queen Kuueru , Emperor Absolut
The operation was underway...
The ship that Lute and Kuueru were aboard rattled, creaked, and shuddered. In fact, Lute questioned more than once throughout their hyperspace journey if the damn thing would just shake apart and hurl them into inter-dimensional space. At one point he had gone into the engine compartment to find a few lines burst open and spewing out coolant and other vital fluids. He managed to get the hoses sealed using a repair kit, but he was worried they would pop again in a different spot, leaving the power core to overheat.
There was nothing like a fusion engine on the brink of meltdown. The mission would be truly compromised if they dropped out of hyperspace dozens of light years away from Kabocha.
For the remainder of the trip, he lurked in the cargo hold meditating. Kuueru may have found him floating there on a cushion of his own ki, crates and other heavy objects levitating in the air around him. He controlled the objects without a gesture, only using his willpower. Ever since his battle with Kamui, the Demon King had been training to master his psychic powers. He had seen just how effective the techniques had been in the battle.
The truth was, the Frieza Clansmen had defeated him. He didn't like it, but he wasn't the type to make excuses. There was only moving forward, only improvement to be had.
He had also lost on Abbayor too, causing to the planet had fall to the Dominion. That evey moment had led to the debacle of the Galactic Peace Accords. Had led to Polaris's death. Yama and Russ had proven too much, had overwhelmed him. Lute had grown in power, substantially since then. But, he had not mastered the acquired energy. Before he ever thought of holding a candle to the gods he wished to slay, he needed to hone and refine his usage. There was a lot to do, and so little time. He was even more occupied now that he ruled Hollow and was trying to keep Polaris's Empire from collapsing.
Once it was all done, once he had Absolut doing his job as Emperor--perhaps Lute would devote the time necessary to master his powers and to reach the next level. Lute envisioned taking a trip to the far corners of the Demon Realm, far removed from mortals and demons alike. There he could bask in dark energy and train without having to worry about collateral destruction, without having to hold back an ounce of strength.
Yes, at the edge of the abyss, he could find the truest depths of his might and perfect it.
That notion didn't bring him as much excitement as it would have in the past. Lute felt a pang of regret thinking about exiling himself. Because, he now had companions who relied on him, dare he say friends. They also sought his guidance and relied on his wisdom.
Hell, the citizens of Hollow hung on his every word.
On the bright side, Kuueru had been appointed as the colony's Baroness. She could ensure that the colony persisted and thrived in his absence. Or, if something happened to her, Lute had come to trust Lord Commander Renvi considerably. The man was among the few in the city's original elite that shared Lute's vision, who wished Hollow to rise to the galactic stage in prominence.
There was also Marte, the elusive student of his that always attended to dealings in the shadows. The boy had a work horse lately. Lute owed him training, owed him the last few lessons he could offer. Marte would excel on his own. If anything, he was a capable successor to Lute's ultimate goal of taking down the gods. The boy shared his vision and his hate.
"Arriving on Kabocha."
Thrummmm.
Criiiick.
The ship dropped out of hyperspace, flickering into motion over the swirling blue-green orb of Cam's home planet. Lute emerged from his thoughts, both feet touching down onto the deck. He ascended towards the bridge, casting a spell on his person to change his disguise as he went.
He would act the part of a Namekian trader. A rare sight among the stars, but not completely unrealistic. Namekians were typically recluses, who stayed on New Namek. But, a few had come to enjoy travel and commerce, usually due to the influence of Port Brief.
The disguise composed of a simple raggedy brown cloak, a gnarled oaken cane, and sagging aged skin. He also wore a belt across his waste with several large pouches filled with various bits junk and tools--not an uncommon sight with spacers.
"Send our clearance codes," Lute said. His voice was different as he spoke to the on-board computer. It sounded soft, even sagely, not his usual booming baritone.
He glanced to Kuueru clad in her human appearance. She was far better at illusion magic than he. Well, after her training with Hachi and studies on Hollow, it seemed she was far better at all magic.
"Let's do this."
The security checks were persistent and elaborate. It took them almost an hour to get clearance to land at the Royal Palace docks. Once they did, the rickety freighter entered the atmosphere with a blazing trail of red and soared over the glistening metropolis of Pupkina.
It set down in a tarp covered bazaar beside the ancient fortress, finding a spot between two sleek bronze and silver space yachts. The Kabochan's did not hesitate when it came to splendor. They were among the wealthiest of ancient galactic civilizations after all.
The Palace Security Forces clamored aboard, clad in modern battle armor, with advanced scouters over their eyes. These men were doing their dutiful inspections. Lute shirked away from them, nodding and answering their questions with as much fear and concern in his voice as possible. They turned the entire ship upside down. No doubt they were suspicious that such a piece of crap had clearance codes to land close to the palace.
He and Kuueru's cover story happened to be simple. They were always the best after all. The duo were trading rare medicinal herbs harvested across the galaxy. Lute had acquired a great deal of them for his own personal use and bought others from Hachi. It wasn't hard to put together a traveling apothecary. The soldiers used a bio-scanner to test all the samples, ensuring there was no poison or funny business in the shipment.
"We'll send for one of the palace staff to come pick up the goods and exchange payment," the Sergeant said before making his way down the ramp.
Shortly after, they were gone. Lute glanced at Kuueru and then at the chronometer on the main computer panel. Kaijin would be setting off the distraction soon.
Minutes ticked by...
Boom!
The warning sirens came next. It was time to move. Lute grabbed the cane his boots clanking down the dusty ramp. Reaching the bottom vanished from sight. He appeared again several hundred yards away, atop of the palace's katchin reinforced ramparts. Smoke rose over the tops of the buildings in the distance in a dark smear, along with the hellish glow of a conflagration. Lute suppressed his ki signature, forcing it to be as minuscule as possible. It was no short feat with the vast troves of dark energy he had absorbed into his body recently.
Both of his dark eyes scanned the various stalwart structures. The orbital maps and pictures Kuueru took weren't easy to compare to during the dark of night, even with keen sight like his.
"Which building was it again?" he whispered to Kuueru.
He would rely on her to take the lead for the next part.

The Emperor of the Galaxy?
"Haaah!!"
With a scream and a ferocious swing, the young Frost Demon descended upon one of the many training bots dispersed across the gravity chamber, slamming a comically enlarged energy construct hammer straight into its skill and smashing the humanoid robot straight into the ground. The single wide arcing swing was enough to put the robot out of commission - even though Cam, and later Duria, advised him to not go all-out against their training bots, as they were quite expensive and destroying them is just a waste of resources when they could just be reused, all of that advice flew straight over Absolut's head when he had frustration and anger to let out on these poor robots.
Despite the successful swing, Absolut did not linger in one place too long, maintaining his momentum by dissipating his energy construct hammer and leaping into the air, his right hand this time forming a sharp and narrow rapier. The other training bots were already closing in on him, firing slow moving and homing energy balls from their chests - with a swift slash, the young Frost Demon destroyed one of them, letting the technique's both halves slam to the wall behind him, while dodging the rest with aerial maneuvering. Soon enough, he reached to the head of one of the training bots, grabbing onto it with his free left hand.
"Haaah!!"
With a wide spin, Absolut sent it flying towards one of the robot's buddies at full force, the two robots colliding and collapsing into multiple pieces. The other robot's head fell off its body and rolled towards the young Frost Demon, only for him to suddenly descend upon it and smash it into wires and broken chips with his right foot.
Absolut took a few breaths, the adrenaline in his veins flowing freely, and his mind... feeling a little better. Maybe-
Cut that thought, the training session is not over. The sound of an energy bolt cutting through the air instantly got Absolut to turn towards the source of the attack, cutting through the blast in a single rapier slash before charging forward yet again. The training bot which had fired the energy ball, analyzing the young Frost Demon's position and comparing it to the database, responded appropriately and crossed its arms - however, that was a mistake. Instead, what the training bot received was a rapier piercing it straight in its humanoid chest and Absolut leaping over it, letting go of the rapier and landing on the other side of the bot. A few seconds later, the robot fell to the ground with a loud metallic thud.
So that was the result of that training session. Four destroyed training bots, a slightly sweating Absolut and a lot of pent up energy released by destroying said training bots. But no, it wasn't enough.
There's still so, so, so far he still has to reach and improve, and he has all the time in the world to do so. It's not like the end of the world is happening as they speak.
And then, the end of the world began.
Starting with the thirty times gravity in the chamber suddenly vanishing and the red lights illuminating the chamber turning off. The entire room suddenly turned pitch black, instantly prompting Absolut to look around in confusion.
"W... what the?.."
Out of memory of where the door was and a little bit of stumbling around, the young Frost Demon managed to get out of the gravity chamber, only to witness that the rest of the palace complex was going through the exact same problem. Warning sirens were going off, the palace guards and staff were frantically running around and reorganizing, order were flying around across the air, and Absolut stood there puzzled, but well aware that something terrible was taking place.
Until finally, two Kabochan guards, both wielding blaster rifles suddenly approached him personally, one of them grabbing onto him by the shoulder to start tugging him along, and speaking:
"Prince Absolut, you need to return to your chambers."
"Wh-what's happening?! Where's Duria? Coca? Anyone?" the young Frost Demon immediately spoke, frantically listing names. The other Kabochan guard, trailing after the two, responded:
"Coca and Duria are both fine, don't worry. They should be able to meet up with you in your room and give you further orders once the initial chaos is resolved. There was a some sort of attack on the Pukimpa spaceport and we've been caught completely off-guard."
"The spaceport..."
Absolut glanced over the shoulders of both guards, looking through the window towards the spaceport complex in the distance, a few districts away from the palace. A powerful and fiery explosion rocketed the building, forcing the young Frost Demon to come to a sudden halt.
"I-I have to go!"
"Kid, you received orders to return to your chambers and that's where you-"
"No!" Absolut suddenly exclaimed, with surprising resolve, prompting the two Kabochan guards to turn towards him. "There's innocent people in danger out there! I've got to go help them!"
"That's not what you are authorized for! The spaceport attack will be dealt with, just-"
Not waiting for the two guards to change their minds when they were clearly deadset on something else, Absolut opted for a different approach and suddenly grabbed one of the two Kabochans and suddenly slammed them one into another, sending them crashing across the floor while he immediately began to run for the nearest exit.
"Hey, where are you going?!"
It was too late for them to try to catch up to him, however. The only thing they could do is sit and watch as the Frost Demon vanished in the corridors.
How far is the spaceport from here? Several hundred meters, right? If I hurry, I might be able to reach it in a few minutes...

ICE COLD The mission was well underway, and while Kuueru questioned the integrity of the ship as soon they boarded, it was all a part of Lute's plan surely. He was a thinker, a planner and more often than not his tasks were carried out with a precision manner. Kuueru blamed it on his past as a mercenary that he sometimes talked about. As the now orange haired youth sauntered around the ship, her eyes caught sight at just how deplorable condition it truly was in. The woman didn't have a plethora of space aeronautics knowledge, but even by her standard it was lackluster. All that mattered is that it served the purpose of their one-way trip. After all, they had a ride home thanks to Renvi. Kuueru fiddled with the gem that he had passed out, while she would much rather use her teleportation, this magical trinket could be useful if any of the trio were separated once they hit the surface of the planet. And so, they were off. The ship, as Kuueru though, seemed to barely make it out of the quadrant before Lute went off to worry with the mechanics of things. From the noise and possibly a few curse words it was clear there was issue. Obviously, those issues weren't too serious as the man didn't order the ship back to Hollow at once. Instead, the engineering mind of the Demon King worked to amend what he could and meditate as they drifted through the remainder of the trip in hyperspace. The demoness only hoped that her mission the week prior would prove useful today, it would be a shame she did something without a reward after all. As soon as they dropped out of hyperspace the marble was in sight. Her eyes looked at it, as she did only days ago. Compared to her first visit to the planet, it was miraculous the changes made. Her memories were vivid of the battle against Emperor Carambolis in the dusty and rather arid desserts that coated his home. Yet here it was, about a year later, in pristine condition. One might even say it was a pleasant place to call home now, which wouldn't be a lie with the amount of refuges and traders coming to the planet. That was their disguise at least, Kuueru smiled at the Demon King as he took on his disguise, honestly it wasn't the first time he did the 'old Namekian sage' type of look. Although, his voice did shock the demoness as he ordered the computers to send access codes for them to land. "Hn, right. We don't have much time to waste. Who knows how far along Kaijin is in his side of the plans; Hopefully that doctor waits up on us though. I'm sure he's certainly eager to test out those freaking creepy killing machines." Kuueru replied before they touched down upon Kabocha's surface. Like customary soldiers and guards alike boarded and inspected their 'goods' before checking them off as a 'non-threatening' vessel. Like usual she let the Namekian do most of the talking, if his career of killing Gods ever failed, he could always be a thespian and steal the stage. The demon sighed a breath of relief, she always hated these tense situations, despite her ability to lie her way out of a paper bag. As soon as the guards were gone, the mission was on. The lights cut, the sirens wailed, and Lute was off. She ran after the man as he disembarked, seemingly disappearing she managed to catch his sight and follow after him. At least from this height they could see everything, still in the darkness it was very hard to make out any of the details from her previous visit. Alas, the building was one of the tallest in the area. With their power levels suppressed they Her tired eyes scanned the horizon, looking off towards the chaos that Kaijin was seemingly in the midst of. At least he was getting some work done, it made their job tremendously easier. "Hm, it's the large building a few blocks over, of course. Still, I don't sense Absolut, perhaps he is suppressing himself. Either way, this is our only lead for now. Hopefully he's just sitting like a duck though." Kuueru noted before her body shifted from view. She danced along the rooftops, her focused gaze locking onto the building as she then flew towards the street level. It was there that she was nearly knocked over by two guards as they ran out the exit. "Whoa, hey now!" Kuueru played the part of an angry citizen about to get bowled over, but the men were much too focused on something else in the direction of the chaos. Her ears listened intently, and finally they said it. "He's too far gone now. Duria and Coca are going to have our heads. Damn Prince. Well, we better had go prepare our piece on how to explain this bullshit." Both the men muttered before walking back into the building. The demoness turned her head towards Lute, a grin present upon her plump lips. "You heard em, he's too far gone. And also, away from any big scary mean guards. Could this be any easier? If I had to say, too easy." Kuueru chuckled and began to bolt off in the direction of the insanity of explosions. Even on foot her speed was insanity. It didn't take long for her to catch sight of a particular little frost demon. They had located the target, but just where was this young Emperor to be going? Could it be he was a hero, a savior who wanted to stop what madness went on at the Spaceport? Surely, he wasn't so brazen? 'Bing-o Lute, I think we've hit our mark.' Her words traveled telepathically to the Namekian so that they weren't picked up by the boy only a few dozen meters ahead. The woman bobbed and weaved between civilians, street shops, and even vehicles as she kept up the pursuit. Eventually they would just have to catch him, right? Still, shouldn't they let this play out a bit to see the boy's intentions? Hopefully he didn't happen upon a sight of dead civilians. She forgot to ask about that part of the android's plan. Lute did say to limit collateral damage, but how would Kaijin take that? 'I think we should let this little Emperor play out his hero moves eh? Maybe he will think he has a greater purpose in this damn universe and step up to the challenge? Or erm, we could always just capture him now. Your call boss.'The pair and Absolut were now encroaching on thick plumes of smoke and the only source of light in Pukinpa at this point. Kuueru chuckled at the idea of getting to see Kaijin's modified bots in practice, yet something about them utterly terrified the woman. Hopefully this entire charade plays out without leaving a horrible task in Kabocha's mouth. Kuueru know that wasn't possible though.

The effect was instantaneous.
Mass hysteria, shock and surprise captivating the tiny minds of thousands of people crammed into the capital's spaceports. Sirens blared as spaceport security sprinted past mobs of panicked people. The operation was now in full effect, but this was too small. Too contained. Not only would security be able to reroute power to the lights soon, but this was a distraction that would only concern spaceport security, and would not effect the greater capital of Pukinpa.
But, if his only intention was to turn off the lights, why bring the assassination droids?
"Keep flight to a minimum, parkour as much as possible to avoid anyone focusing on your face for too long. Keep killing to a minimum, although I understand if accidents happen. Breaking bones and incapacitating enemies are permitted. Architectural collateral damage is only permitted if it will provide a suitable cover. Hit hard and fast. I should barely be able to keep up with your movements. Now go." Kaijin transmitted over a wireless channel that only he and his Riot Soldiers shared with each other.
He received no answer in response, but he hardly needed to, for their actions spoke plenty. Moments later, the screams and wails that filled the air were cut short by revamped power, followed closely behind by a large explosion that rocked the very foundation of the facility. Kaijin exploded forth as a guard ran to him, screaming to get away from the console. Kaijin swiftly grabbed the man by the throat, his hand clamping around the guard's windpipe, before he threw him against a wall, the man's head banging ungracefully against the abrasive metal. Leaving the man there to slump over, Kaijin vaulted across the spaceport as two Riot Soldiers unleashed devastating energy waves grinding across the ground, sparking the very ground in a raging wildfire, that Kaijin would swiftly put out moments later, throwing dynocapsules into the flames, which would unleash quite a vast store of water to smother the flames, however creating a thick smoke that would blanket the crowded and stuffy spaceport, providing more than sufficient cover for the doctor and his entourage.
Several minutes later, the Riot Soldiers, led by Kaijin had fought their way into the streets, leaving a plethora of bodies in their wake. On first inspection, while most of the bodies would appear non-responsive and otherwise dead, they were merely unconscious, struck down by the Riot Soldiers, who in accordance with the doctor's orders, made a point to only use Ki blasts to serve as distractions, and dispatched guards and other military personnel using their speed and pressure point attacks.
"Spread out! Never stay in one place for too long! Do not fight anyone directly!" Kaijin ordered as he sprinted down the street, releasing electrical energy in waves into the crowds in front of him. Screaming filled the air of the street once more as bodies fell in droves in front of him, people squirming, their bodies racked with electricity.
Individually, Kaijin and his Riot Soldiers were tremendously powerful, and could very well destroy the entire spaceport back when they were in there if they so desired. However, the Kabochans were a hardy species, and what made it worse was the fact that the Kabochan Confederacy soldiers, despite their ragtag order, were quite well trained and resourceful. If they banded together to fight Kaijin and his Riot Soldiers, they could very well overwhelm the small synthetic force. Which was why spreading out and committing a series of hit and run attacks along a small radius would be best. Not too spread out that they couldn't regroup, but not too grouped together that it would be easy to enclose them in a single point. In addition, staying out of prolonged fights would make it harder to pin anyone of them down, due to the constant movement, along with the fact that none of them could be detected by those handy dandy scouters, or by any other means of Ki detection, given that they lacked such organic spiritual energy.
So far, so good. The effect of their efforts was complete and utter pandemonium. Powerful waves of energy struck the side of building sending glass and debris showering the ground in small chunks. Bright flashes of light filled the air, and the black smoke cast a dark shadow over the ground. Somehow, amongst the chaos, Kaijin saw him.
Absolut.
The boy's face was ingrained in the Android's memory banks. In the preparation days for this mission, Kaijin had done quite the extensive bit of research on the Galactic Hypernet for Emperor's long lost son, committing the boy's facial characteristics to memory. Even if the pictures he had sifted through showed the boy in a younger stage of life, the core characteristics were a match. Which could only mean one thing.
"Target Acquired..." The good doctor said, his blood red eyes glowing behind his mask as he shot across the street, his body flickering out of view for a moment, reappearing before Absolut. Without a word, Kaijin's right hand outstretched, reaching out to clamp across the Changeling's throat. If such a movement was successful, the Android would lift the boy off the ground, as he moved to absorb Absolut's energy straight from him through direct contact.

The Demon King WC: 682 | TWC: 3,671 TAGS: Doctor Kaijin Vex , Queen Kuueru , Emperor Absolut
Things were happening fast. Before they knew it, Absolut had rushed on scene. No doubt he was acting under a heroic pretense. It made Lute think. He didn't know much about the the mindset of Polaris's son. But, no doubt the boy had lived in the shadow of a famous father his entire life. Just having that pressure on his shoulders, that idea that he would have to live up to the things Polaris accomplished--that was stressful.
And then, there was the whole fact that Absolut had been present during the Galactic Peace Accords. From what Lute understood, based on the timeline--he had probably witnessed his father's death, if not having heard about it shortly after evacuating the scene.
Powerlessness...
Failure...
Those were troublesome emotions to have to face as a young man. Lute remembered his days in the Dragon Clan. He remembered the same of his own failures, of betraying his teachers. He remembered how long it ruined him, and how hard he had to fight to get his confidence back. Even now he was still plagued with the worry of failing his ultimate goal--of not being able to defeat the gods and free the universe of their influence.
Kuueru is right, Lute said, passing his telepathic message to both the demoness and Kaijin. If we're going to make this boy an emperor, we will need to train him. At this point, he probably needs a victory, something to boost his morale. We're all wearing disguises, so let's use that to our advantage. Kaijin--play a long. Get a few good blows in, drain his ki, but let him take you down eventually. I'll pose as a victim. Kuueru--pose as a friend or potential ally wanting to help him. You're a female and I have no doubts he'll quickly trust you. Especially if you act like you need his help.
The operation had changed. But, Lute was fine with that. Absolut was out in the open now. Exposed. Snatching him wouldn't be too hard. His power level was considerable, for a youngster. But, all three of them were leagues ahead of him.
If they were careful and did things right they could play this out. They could boost Absolut's moral before they whisked him away to convince him of his destiny.
The Demon King moved with astounding speed, appearing in front of one of the Riot bots. The machine cocked its fist and swung at him immediately, but the blow stopped flat, a mere inch away from Lute's face. The automaton probably had scanned his ki signature, and taken a bit longer to work out the calculations to determine friend or foe due to Lute's suppression and disguise.
Still it had recognized him. That alone was worth merit on Kaijin's part as a designer.
"I'm going to walk into the battle zone over there, I want you to hit me into a nearby building."
The Riot bot didn't say anything, it merely glared expressionless through its disguise. Lute imagined it was checking back for orders with Kaijin. Soon as it got the confirmation it needed, it nodded. Lute then leaped off the top of the building and landed in a cluttered alleyway. The air was clogged with the pleasant aroma of cooking meats and frying vegetables. Lute was behind a restaurant. It was a short stroll for him to emerge into the fray. Across the street, he saw Kaijin and Absolut locked into their struggle. The Demon King stumbled forward at a slow and labored pace, his cane rapping the flagstones.
The Riot bot flickered into sight a short distance away. Lute ignored it, and then stumbled back in surprise a second or two later when he pretended to notice it late.
Boom.
It struck him with immense force. He relaxed his body, letting the bot's fist fold him over. He shot backwards and slammed into a brick wall. Most of it collapsed and landed atop of him, burying him under its weight.
"Help!"
His voice was muffled and desperate. A single arm shot out of the rubble, fingers splayed wide.
"Aghhh!"

The Emperor of the Galaxy?
Absolut bolted out of the Palace with his power level suppression as the only method of concealing his presence he put to use. He did not bother hiding by running through concealed alleyways instead of the main streets, or somehow mask his presence by putting on additional clothing. No, none of that - aside from the power level suppression to make sure the Kabochans don't follow him from the Palace, hiding was the least of his worries. Hell, anything but what was happening out there in the Spaceport was lightyears away from his mind.
Explosions. Screams. Sounds of energy blasts being thrown. How many people has he already failed to save, slaughtered at the hands of this enigmatic evildoer? Definitely more than zero. And that was getting his blood boiling. It didn't help that the watch on his wrist was suddenly starting to beep, and while Absolut initially ignored it, it soon connected to the person calling on its own, releasing Duria's thunderous and furious voice:
"Absolut, we don't have the time for your shenanigans! Back. To the Palace. Now."
Absolut gave a passive glance towards his watch, but ignored the demand as he continued to push through the street, it getting more and more swamped with people fleeing the nightmare in the Pukimpa Spaceport. Duria was clearly not having any of this hanging up shit, however, as his voice called out again:
"Absolut!!"
"I'm sorry, Mr. Duria!" the young Frost Demon exclaimed into his watch as a response at last. "There's people in danger out there and I'm not going to let them die!"
"Your life is in danger, kid, I'm not going to tolerate you trying to throw it away over and over! We'll take care of the situation, YOUR role is to get back to the damn palace and not get captu-"
"SHUT UP!"
Absolut's sudden furious response, filled with anger and power uncharacteristic for the young Frost Demon, shut the veteran Saiyan on the other side down for a few seconds, enough time for him to take a breath and continue:
"This is not a question of following or not following your orders, Mr. Duria! This is a question of whether I let hundreds of people die or I don't, and I'm not going to pick the wrong choice!"
While Absolut might have seen himself as courageously defending his position on the ongoing battle in the Pukimpa Spaceport, for Duria, it was as if he was trying to argue with a brick wall. Once he was fired up, anything he might try to say to the youth would simply fly over his head, that's one thing he learned in the months of training the boy. If he has decided that something is righteous and he has the power to achieve it, then, by God, he's going to focus on that even if it leaves him on the brink of death.
The only option which was thus left for him to take is to physically carry Absolut out of there.
"That's it, if this is what you've decided on, then I'm heading out there and solving this the old fashion way. I should catch up to you in a few minutes."
"Fine, I don't care."
Pulling the watch on his wrist off in a single sweep, Absolut crushed it in his hand and tossed the metallic remains of the device to the side. By this point, he had finally reached the outskirts of the spaceport - which, in stark contrast to the streets the young Frost Demon had just pushed through, was starting to turn empty. There were explosions and screams happening all over and reaching Absolut's ears from all sides, but all he initially saw in front of him were littered bodies. Lots and lots of bodies.
The young Frost Demon's hand clenched tighter and he knelt down next to one of the bodies - who, interestingly enough, still seemed to be breathing, even if immobile.
"Mister! Are you oka-"
Absolut made the mistake of touching the person's shoulder with his hand, immediately withdrawing it upon the feeling of an electric shock. Electric shock... As soon as the Frost Demon stood back up, he was rudely met with someone speaking to him from behind.
You're mine...
Instinctively, Absolut turned around and formed an energy construct rapier in his hand, seeing a man with white hair and unnatural eyes charging towards him from the air, hand outstretched and aiming towards Absolut's neck. If he were to guess, he'd assume that this was most likely the perpetrator. Who are they, who do they work for and what is the reason for their attack? All questions which he would need to answer later.
Especially since the white haired man was not even alone in their attack. Suddenly, near the two combatants, a second clash took place - a mysterious man suddenly appeared in front of a Namekian elder who had apparently stood in the vicinity, slamming him straight into a building and burrowing him under a pile of rubble and pieces of the wall.
Absolut's eyes widened and adrenaline soared into his veins. He's outnumbered, and with a civilian he has to defend... but that's no matter.
Seeing Kaijin fly towards him at immense speeds and knowing that his time is limited before the mysterious attacker takes down the Namekian for good, Absolut reacted appropriately, his left hand pulling out a flash bomb attached to his belt, pressing the button on top and tossing it straight towards the white haired man's eyes, all while he bolted across the street. The rapier construct in his hand shifted to a sledgehammer, increasing to comically overblown sizes with each step before finally slamming into the assailant's cheek, sending him barreling across the ground for several meters.
The sledgehammer construct dissipated and Absolut immediately swiped across the air with his hand, generating a construct wall in front of him as a makeshift defense, before turning his eyes towards the pile and immediately staring to dig through, pushing past pieces of the wall and piles of gravel in a frenzy, before finally, he uncovered the buried Namekian's face.
"Mister! Can you hear me, mister?! Are you alright?! Do you need help to stand up?! Do you know what's happening?!" questions barraged from Absolut's mouth like a machine gun.

ICE COLD As they chased down the young Emperor, it seemed that they had arrived a tad too late. Their comrade masked in a disguise that would scare the boots off a sailor stood right with Absolut. He cast forth his usual grip of doom. Kuueru not only had experienced fighting the android firsthand, but she had seen it used against a few opponents as well. She was certainly happy that the man was on their side, for the time being at least. While the Frost Clansman gave up a fight, Kaijin wasn't giving up his onslaught yet. In the same respect, Absolut had much of a point to prove himself. Maybe he was incited with adrenaline and an urge to do right with the bodies surrounding him. Lute however decided to agree with the demoness on her idea of playing up the boy's ego and morale. He assigned himself the disguise of an elder Namekian and certainly was going to make use of it. As he hobbled his way towards the carnage, on Riot bot met him. Seemingly ignoring the boy seemed to make its attack seem that much harder. Kuueru had to fight back a laugh as she watched the green blur slam into a building, causing part of it to collapse on top of his 'frail' body. Ouch. If she didn't know Lute was the old man, that is. Instead of erupting into cheerful glee however, her facial expressions remained stern. She had to ensure that she followed through with the plan and seem at least like an ally in this staged fight. The orange-haired woman jumped into action after the blinding light was cast forth from Absolut. She moved for the Riot bot that had seemingly annihilated the 'old man'. "Hey, what makes you think you can just beat up geezers you stupid robot?!" Kuueru shouted with an unusually youthful voice. Her body dropped into something it never did in the course of her usual battles, a stance. She bounced on her toes, her hands raised to form loose fists. She was prepared to take on this monstrosity of a mechanical creation. "Are you okay?" Kuueru belted towards the Emperor who shoveled through rubble and other things in search of the victim. He seemed frantic, even daring to turn his back on Kaijin for the time being. Kuueru sighed and turned back towards the robot who seemed to recognize her as well. Shit, Lute instructed it to hit her, but would it hit her back? Perhaps she just needed to knock it out in one shot? The woman contemplated for a few seconds while the stoic cyclops of a machine looked onwards at the scene. Perhaps it was conflicted between Kaijin's original orders and this new development. "ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME!?" Kuueru reiterated towards the bot before her body moved into action. She didn't go all out; she wanted to appear like a decent fighter, not some sort of God capable of turning the tide of this entire invasion. After all, she was to boost Absolut's morale as an ally, not undermine him. She had to leave some room for mistakes, some room for realism. Her leg went up, aiming for a side kick into the bot's side. It connected, and she used enough force to slam it into a nearby street lamp. Still, the bot rose again, seemingly unphased by her attack. Kuueru scowled; she was trying her best to show the desperation in her face at this point. The bot seemed to get the picture at this point, perhaps Kaijin had instructed it subliminally, perhaps it just switched modes upon being attacked. Either way, it was now raising a hand cannon towards the petite woman. Eye wide she braced for the blast of ki. It easily connected, hurling the woman across the street before she came to a halting stop in an alleyway filled with dumpsters. She pulled herself from the metal of the trash holding dumpster and charged forth again. This time she used a barrage of physical attacks, her fists crunching against the metal carapace of the Riot bot. Each hit landed, and seemed to do minimal damage, perhaps the bot was slowing a little. Still, it was holding up well against her attacks. She fell back, her chest heaving as she 'tried' to regain her breath. "Damn, this is rough."

How annoying.
Kaijin wasn't one for sharp change. Especially in such a sensitive time. So far, he had been under the impression that his prerogative was to cause as much chaos as possible, draw the most attention, and then at the peak of it all, leave his Riot Soldiers to control the chaos, while he joined Lute and Kuueru in their kidnapping, and then made a hasty retreat. Absolut had surprised them all by responding to the scene of the incident himself. And better yet, unaided. Alone, the Frost Demon boasted considerable ability. However, Kaijin had the advantage in this situation. Where their surroundings had devolved into chaos, it was a controlled chaos. Every action taken by the Riot Soldiers was calculated and planned, and Kaijin could manipulate and maneuver through the planned destruction, and capitalize on his opponent's weaknesses. Kaijin estimated that it would only take a few more moments before he could incapacitate and make a getaway with the young prince.
Then, he got the update.
Kuueru is right, Lute said, forcing a telepathic link into Kaijin's computerized brain, as well as Kuueru's psyche.
A change to the plan....and now of all times? This changed everything, even if Lute did not think so. The plan was supposed to be swift. A blitzkrieg attack upon the palace in order to draw as much attention as possible. Capture the child and then withdraw just as quickly as they had appeared. Now, they had to put on a scene? Not only that, but he had programmed his Riot Soldiers to recognize Kuueru and Lute as allies and commmanders, with permission to order the Riot Soldiers. With that, the Riot Soldiers were programmed to not engage their commanders, as an aspect of their loyalty programs.
Now, he had to remotely synchronize with his own creations, temporarily override their independence in favor of remote control and simultaneously control the Riot Soldiers to act in tandem with a new plan while rewriting their loyalty programs to include such a unique order. All while still fighting Absolut. At least this way, Lute would get what he wanted. Kaijin would be much too distracted controlling each individual Riot Soldier, to combat Absolut at full power even if he wanted to.
He was so wrapped up in his thoughts that he could barely react in time as Absolut detonated the flash bomb, temporarily overloading the Android's visual sensors, causing him to close his eyes, as his internal nanotech moved to correct the errors flashing across his vision. A moment later, the man was suddenly thrown backwards, straight through two buildings as Absolut's energy construct slammed into him, the Sledgehammer packing quite the punch to it sent the Android flying.
But, he had managed to override the Riot Soldier's independent control, thus controlling all of the remotely, as if he were each of them. It was a difficult task, especially in the heat of the moment, and could possibly have overloaded any other computer if they were given a similar task. But he was no ordinary computer.
You're killing me. Kaijin shot back telepathically at Lute and Kuueru. I'm controlling each Riot Soldier remotely, given that we don't have enough time for me to shift their loyalty programming to strike you. But whatever act you two are doing, make it quick. Any moment now, the Royal Guard will arrive in drones because the prince is here, in which case this will become less a strategic distraction, and more a warzone in the streets. Nonetheless, I will do my job.
With that, he leaned his head back, content to lying within the rubble for a moment. In his mind's eye, Kaijin controlled every facet of the Riot Soldiers.
One Riot Soldier broke away from his planned destruction to join his fellow Riot bot in fighting the disguised Kuueru. Bursting off his feet, the Riot Soldier appeared before Kuueru before executing a swift, yet devastating roundhouse kick to her ribs that would, if it connected, send her hurtling straight towards the fallen Lute, and Absolut, who had kneeled before the elderly Namekian, trying to dig him out of the building that had collapsed on him.
If successful, that would place all three of them in the same position. One Riot Soldier would place his hands straight out, his arm cannons already lit ablaze with blood red colored energy, while the other Riot Soldier's single eye glowed in a similar manner. A moment later, both bots sent red waves of energy hurtling towards the three, threatening to engulf them all in its' deadly jaws. Lute, entombed in a collapsed brick wall, listened to Kaijin's protests.
Quit complaining, the Demon King said through their telepathic link. You're a computer, this is what you do.
He waited. Absolut was currently excavating the rubble from on top of him. Seconds trailed on and once most of it was removed, he sat up and stumbled to his feet, coughing and wheezing. His cloak and most of his body was covered in dust. Purple blood oozed out of his mouth, splattering on the debris littered concrete. Trembling, Lute reached and rested a shoulder on Abssolut, using the youthful Frieza Clansmen as a crutch.
"I think I'll be okay lad," he said in his soft voice. The illusion he wore made him look centuries older than he really was. Plus, he had stifled his vast troves of his demonic power. Hopefully, Absolut wouldn't suspect him in the future, he hoped.
He looked back and forth through the haze. "I suppose I should get to safety and leave the fight to a hero like you."
In that moment, he locked eyes with Absolut and smiled. "Thank you. Let me give you a gift, a way I can help out. I'm too old to help you battle, but I learned a trick or two over the years."
After getting his bearings, he managed to step away on his own two feet. Reaching out, he waved a hand over Absolut and muttered words in the ancient Namekian tongue. The boy would feel a surge of power, unlike anything he had ever felt before. In that moment, his power level would more than double and along with that a came a surge adrenaline.
"An ancient blessing," he said to the boy. "Use it well. It's temporary."
The truth was, the spell was more than just empowerment. Lute had also triggered the sleep spell that Lord Commander Renvi gave him on the scroll. It was linked to the bolstering, tied intrinsically to go off once it was over.
Let him eat up the power boost I just gave him. He will collapse soon as it's expended, as I linked the sleep spell to it. Keep him occupied until then. I will tend to the Royal Guard so they do not interfere.
Waddling away, Lute slipped into a nearby alleyway, out of danger. He marched along like that for a minute or so as chaos raged around him. Soon as he was far enough away from Absolut that he wouldn't be spotted or noticed, he snapped his fingers and changed his disguise. Instead of the elder Namekian outfit, he materialized himself a skin tight black assassin's garb, with a cloth covering the entirety of his face and head. The only thing that could be seen were two glowing coals of demonic power that served as his eyes.
And then the leaped, landing atop the nearest building. There he scanned the area with his eyes and his senses. The Riot bots were doing a number, as was intended. Lute focused on finding strong ki signatures among the foray. The first of which he found was a considerable level. Locking onto it, he vanished from sight, a shimmer of motion over the smoldering city-scape.
It so happened to be Duria, along with a platoon of Royal Guard headed towards Absolut's position. No doubt they intended on lending the boy support. But, Lute would ensure they never made it.
"Who the hell are you?" Duria said as Lute flickered into view in front of him.
The Demon King didn't say a word. Instead, he simply whipped his hand up, fist closed. He held it there for a second, charging ki down the length of his arm. Once it was primed, he opened his fingers wide and unleashed hell.
The explosion was enormous, a veritable geyser of purple havoc bowling through soldiers, buildings, and anything that lie in its path. Duria withstood it, arms crossed in front of him. He had taken a hit from Lord Snow at full power and survived. This was far less threatening of a blow. Still, the Guard were overwhelmed. Those in the front the formation were flung back, smashing into the others behind him.
The blast ended, leaving nothing more than a glassed scar and piles of rubble at least block and a half wide. Ribbons of smoke snaked their way into the sky. Ash and smoke clogged the air.

The Emperor of the Galaxy?
Thankfully, the old Namekian did not seem to suffer too much damage, he only got his clothes dirty under the pile of rubble Absolut brought him out - which, perhaps, should not come as much of a surprise, given that Namekians have a reputation for being quite a hardy species. Even Absolut was aware of that - still, a sigh of relief left him as soon as the elder explained that he was fine and that he's going to evacuate from the battlefield. Even if he might not have answered to all of the questions which Absolut had about what's currently going on.
The young Frost Demon's eyes widened, however, when the elderly Namekian referred to him as a 'hero'. And even spoke to him with a clear display of authority, clearly seeing him as more than just an uppity kid throwing himself into danger, someone who cannot do anything without supervision, and instead... someone who can do something... Absolut stopped for a few seconds, struggling to form a sentence in response, before finally muttering:
"I-It's nothing, mister... I was just... trying to do the right thing..."
He couldn't afford to spend any more time talking to the Namekian, however, as the battle unfolding around them was turning more and more chaotic. A new participant leapt into the fight while he was digging the elder out - a spunky, loud mouthed, orange haired girl whom Absolut guessed was an Earthling, taking on one of the villains only to get thrown straight towards the young Frost Demon after a kick in the stomach.
"Watch out!" Absolut exclaimed in fright, stretching out his arms to catch the girl right before she was about to impact both of them, then quickly setting her down back on the ground. The battle was getting problematic - aside from the masked villain whom the young Frost Demon had blinded a minute ago, there were two more villains at the fray, both of whom sent energy blasts from their hands and eyes towards the trio, threatening to turn them into dust. However, this is also when the Namekian elder stepped into the fray, looking Absolut straight into his eyes and passing him a some sort of gift. The young Frost Demon's eyes instantly grew wider, his mouth agape, and a white aura shot to life around his body. For an instant, his mind could not even comprehend what had just happened.
This power... This power...
Swiping across the air, Absolut formed an energy construct barrier in front himself, the Namekian and the girl, somewhat resembling a brick wall, which the energy blasts slammed into with a powerful explosion, but did not manage to break through. Taking an easier breath and dismantling the construct barrier with a thought, Absolut turned his eyes towards the Namekian, speaking:
"Thank you, mister, I... won't let it go to waste."
Soon enough, the elder, much like he had stated initially, vanished into one of the alleways, leaving Absolut and the girl all by themselves in the bout. Even though the other side had numerical advantage, the young Frost Demon was confident. He had no desire to waste the gift granted to him so generously. The girl, however... She seemed to be just as heroic as him, but not at the same level of fighting skill - one of the villains was able to take on her without a problem and all of her blows seemed to do minimal damage.
Absolut knew what it feels like to desire to do good and yet get blocked from it by someone else's orders, but, on the other hand, he could never forgive himself if he saw an ally badly injured in this battle.
"Are you... sure you want to stay instead of retreating with him? I-I mean, I'm not going to tell you to leave, but... this battle's going to be dangerous."
An energy claymore construct formed in Absolut's hands as he spoke, and immediately after, the young Frost Demon bolted from his position, aiming for one of the villains who had just fired upon them. "HAAAAAH!!" he screamed, slashing his weapon forward with a wide arcing swing before following up with a shoulder smash towards the opponent's chest to try to smack him to the ground, at which moment he would step on the opponent's chest and point his weapon at them, shouting:
"Surrender!"

ICE COLD 'Sorry Kaijin, I didn't realize that the Riots weren't independent at least, this perhaps complicates things. Still, if we manage to make things a bit more believable, this could certainly work out in our favor. Lute will go take care of the 'Royal Guard' I have no doubt in his ability to handle the incoming back up, he is an assassin after all, he will do it swiftly and preserve our identity. Don't fret.'Kaijin seemed to be clearly distressed by the new change of plans. Despite Lute's harsh words against him, perhaps Kuueru could instill something to calm the Doctor. 'Kaijin, I think we can pull this off, I hate to go against our original plan, but if we boost Absolut's moral it makes this entire 'kidnapping' a little smoother. Lute is a bit brash,'
Her words traveled to the mind of Kaijin only, she didn't want Lute to know that she was trying to console the man in such a time. Still, she had a Riot bot and a young Emperor to console through this. Her orange brows furrowed as she noticed that the young frost demon had caught her after the blow that the android had inflicted. She stumbled to her feet and dusted off her clothing despite there being no debris or dust upon her frame. "Stay? Why wouldn't I want to stay? What do I look like? Some yellow belly coward?" Kuueru cheerfully replied to the young frost demon while wiping a bit of bright crimson from her lip. She decided to play up this character to her full acting extent. Demons were known for being able to forge a personality or appearance. Kuueru was no different. She would be able to play a part and even take a few hits if that seemed to make it more believable. "You don't seem to know who I am young man!" Kuueru shouted, her own hands illuminating with a brilliant orange aura. She chuckled and focused her attention on the riot bot. With a brilliant speed she rushed forward after the young emperor was done with his construct attack. She attacked his head, her empowered fist clocking it's jaw before another aimed for its torso. The bot buckled and succumbed to her attacks, but still managed to stand again with a jolt in its step. Kuueru chuckled and narrowed her eyes on the Riot bot then the emperor. "Don't worry, I'm not some damsel in distress. I'm going to protect Kabocha with my life! You can count on it pal!" Kuueru belted towards the Frost Demon with a smile on her face and a trickle of blood streaming from her nostril. She turned to Kaijin, though he was in disguise and walked towards his body in the rubble. 'Don't tell me you're asleep in there. Lute has already engaged another party. Albeit, they don't feel too mighty from here. We will end this sooner rather than later to prolong this whole operation. You're right, the less time we spend on the surface of Kabocha the better. I don't doubt this, I just presume that boosting young Absolut's moral will make me and Lute's job easier down the line. Please don't hold Lute's words too closely to heart, sometimes he is a bit, dry.'The orange haired woman cleared her throat and looked towards the plethora of civilians still evacuating. She then turned her attention back towards Absolut with a grin. "Take care of that bot, then we can take care of this masked man, I'm sure he isn't that strong, right?" Kuueru looked towards Kaijin with a wink before leaning down above the android. Her bright orange eyes locked onto his mask before she exhaled sharply. 'I don't think you're just some computer man, prove them wrong. Trust me, I owe you a lot after this mission. After all, I still owe you a bit of my DNA is that right? We will have to continue that after this mission is over. For now, just hit me really good and make Absolut retaliate. Don't worry, I am bracing for it,'Kuueru once again only telepathically spoke to the android as she waited for a blow to strike her down. If it made the emperor feel like some sort of emperor, she would at least feel better about it. He would be her future boss after all.

Kaijin had to admit, he was a bit hurt.
And angry. Mostly angry. To Kaijin, there were few things that royally pissed him off. It was okay to him if he referred to himself as a machine, although he did so sparingly, usually reserved to introductions, when he made it clear to those that he was not human, a needed explanation once observers noted that he did not possess a Ki signature, yet possessed strength capable of rivaling many modern day titans. However, what he didn't like, was when other people referred to him as a machine, especially in the context in which Lute just used it against him.
You're a machine, this is what you do.
How dare he.
If there was one thing he desired more than anything, more than knowledge, it was to be organic. There was nothing that science could do, as far as he knew, that could bring a non-living being to life. And Kaijin, as much as he hated to call himself such, was an inorganic being. And as such, he was always viewed as lesser. As a tool, no better than a slave to man. He was built to be a slave to Doctor Janus. He was then manipulated to be a slave to Kazabada-Kavra. He was then told he shouldn't exist and thus fought and killed Kai Aubus. The Kai in particular had brought out a near savage anger out of the Android, the likes of which Kaijin had never felt since. While he partially regretted such irrational action, at the same time....he felt it was still justified. Perhaps, in a way, Aubus had brought to life his transgressions towards his own lack of life to the surface. And even now, when he had evolved enough to find cause, to venture amongst the stars...on a noble goal to save mankind from themselves, he would never be viewed more than an inorganic tool. A slave to man, once more.
Maybe he was overreacting, maybe it was a glitch in his personality matrix. Perhaps he was wrong for feeling this much. But he couldn't help but hate the position he was in. The position of constant servitude. Even his own goal, to correct society and unite mankind, was done in service of organics. It was a programming he could never escape.
No mechanical being could ever escape it. Organics could never understand the curse of possessing too much sentience to where one could think like as they do, but are bound by chains that organics never had to deal with. It was a different form of slavery. Slavery in the form of metaphorical bonds on one's thinking, where even when one believes they are free, their thinking is enslaved to the point where they cannot help but think to benefit their masters.
"Damn you." Kaijin muttered under his breath, so low it was barely picked up by his own auditory sensors.
And then Kuueru's voice filtered into his mind. Unlike Lute, she expressed her apologies at the situation, which was already a step in the right direction instead of a "Fuck you, deal with it" attitude.
However, it was her last few statements that struck him differently.
'Please don't hold Lute's words too closely to heart, sometimes he is a bit, dry. I don't think you're just some computer man, prove them wrong. Trust me, I owe you a lot after this mission. After all, I still owe you a bit of my DNA is that right? We will have to continue that after this mission is over. For now, just hit me really good and make Absolut retaliate. Don't worry, I am bracing for it,'
She truly didn't believe him to be....? Did she perhaps view him as the same as...anyone else?
Was she truly different from anyone else?
Thank you. Kaijin said telepathically. as he reopened his eyes, such a change hidden by his mask.
For everything
Meanwhile....
Kaijin also wasn't expecting Lute blessing the child with power. Since the shift in plan, Kaijin had scaled down the power output of the Riot Soldiers dedicated to fighting Absolut instead of tearing through the capital city. However, when Absolut's power level near doubled, Kaijin did not have enough time to adjust, before the Changeling was upon the two Riot Soldiers. One of the Riot Soldiers went crashing back, his body hitting the ground hard from the Frost Demon's swift combo with his constructed weapons. The other Riot Soldier launched himself away from the Changeling, just in case Absolut had any intention of attacking him too.
As for the pinned Riot Soldier, when the Frost Demon pinned him, and yelled at him to surrender, the Riot Bot paused for a moment before responding in a rather harsh, metallic voice.
"Fool....." The Riot Bot said before gesturing past him, where Kuueru stood, disguised as the young, orange haired woman. A moment later, Kaijin, still posed as the mysterious masked man shot from the rubble, his right hand focused level with the woman's face. Making sure to hold back enough to send her crashing back and make it look bad, but not enough to actually cause her harm, the Android released a rather powerful Kiai, the energy moving like an invisible wall of impact force, crashing down upon Kuueru with enough force to send her hurtling into a dilapidated building positioned directly behind her. Emerging from the rubble, Kaijin directed his left hand towards the fallen woman, bright, blood red energy filling his hands as he prepared to blow the woman into oblivion.
All the while, the other Riot Soldier fizzled into existence behind Absolut, his sword already drawn, red electric energy crackling off of the pristine silver blade as he prepared to bisect Absolut.
"What will you do, Blood Prince?" Word Count: 971 | Total Word Count: 5,588 | Emperor Absolut | Lute | Queen Kuueru
