She was a really long way from home.
It was something she had noticed, asking for a map at the library, and pointing at where she was supposed to be, but being told by the people there she was somewhere else than where she was supposed to be.
How did that happen? She knew coming here was because Lady Sakurai had asked her to do something, but she couldn't remember what it was, or why she had came here to East City. There was no reason to fly back there instead of walk, because she wasn't in a hurry to leave. It looked safe here, but it was different.
Had she already been to this part of the city? Sitting outside on a bench, she looked down at the armor she wore, waving her hand in front of its center. Lady Sakurai had given this to her, only awhile ago.
It was a lot of zeni, from what she saw of the receipt, so she was being very careful with it, waving her hand slowly. This wasn't just some kind of armor. It was supposed to be someone who could help her.
"Where is Satan City?"
"Greetings, S-a-y-a-k-o. This is the destination you are looking for. Would you like to go there now?"
She could feel the thing warming up around her, before it showed her a map she couldn't touch, out in front of her. There was a little arrow, instead of a person, which she remembered Lady Sakurai had said was supposed to be her. The lines that were connected to the little arrow, she was supposed to walk to.
It looked like it was such a long walk. If she had went now, it was going to get dark. She needed food, water, and some camping supplies, if she wanted to be safe in the dark until morning again.
She didn't have any of that stuff. The other times she had went somewhere like this city, she had to keep walking and wait by herself somewhere safe outside of the city, before she was back home.
"No. Sayako wants to know how long to walk there."
"Very well, S-a-y-a-k-o. Your approximate travel time is..."
The numbers it had showed her, looked like a long time like she had thought. There was a lot of other things that she could do with that kind of time, if she had to really walk there.
But she also didn't want to go home, until she had remembered why she had came here. Lady Sakurai was a kind person. She had so much stuff that she knew others who helped her before, didn't have.
So she didn't leave because she had bothered her. It was something that she was supposed to do, that she couldn't figure out by herself. The others tried to tell her how, but she didn't get it.
Places like this, were supposed to help her think. What did they have around here, that was like Satan City? The thing that she was looking for, it was supposed to be apart of what she had to do there normally.
Living there at that big house, she wasn't supposed to just sit around, or she would bother someone. The thought had made her look down, waving her hand at the armor again, as she had stood up.
How long was she at the library? Her legs were already asleep. She could tell because they didn't look like what other people had. It was squishy, and she could poke at it, like it was a puddle.
Shaking her legs made it go back to normal, but she must have lost time sitting here. When time had passed, it got closer and closer to lunch time. But she wasn't hungry yet, which means it wasn't time yet.
So what she was supposed to do now, was be busy. Buildings and cars kept passing her as she had walked around, looking at the signs that were on the stores and through the windows to see if she could remember something. There were a lot of places here, and a lot of things that she knew they had at home.
Did she have to get more milk? Was that it? No. She remembered they had enough. The cooks wouldn't have forgot if they needed more, because they had used some of it for food. And they didn't tell her to get any.
It was Lady Sakurai. Whatever she was supposed to be doing right now, it was supposed to help her somehow. Her guardian wasn't sick or hurt. So she didn't need to call help for someone to heal her.
She could probably do some healing if she had tried. Even looking through some stores, and feeling the nice cold air they had inside, she still couldn't see anything that would help her remember.
Some flashing lights through a couple of windows, had her stop to see what it was, finding that a lot of TVs were all playing the same thing. She remembered that it was supposed to all do that.
But some of the stuff that Lady Sakurai taught her, she still thought looked like it was broken. This was one of those things. People were supposed to watch different channels on their TVs. And they couldn't hear anything, if it was all stacked together like this. She didn't really like seeing this.
Though since she wasn't supposed to bother anybody, and since there was still some time before lunch, she had stood here, and looked at only one of the TVs. It was showing commercials right now of cereal.
She couldn't tell what channel it was, because it didn't say, but the commercials made her look away and at the signs for how much the TV had cost. It was a lot, but she had that much. Though it was supposed to be for emergencies. Like when she went to go buy food later, and paid the person to give it to her.
TVs were to make people happy, and she liked what the commercials were showing now.

East City had earned a reputation as a city of peace, a place of spirituality where monks and martial artists gathered to learn and train. However, the city also had another side to it. For some reason this place seemed to draw all sorts of strange travelers. Some claimed they had seen a wicked witch flying on a broom near the city outskirts. Others claimed that there was a pink alien here who caused trouble every so often. Well, some rumors were obvious fairy tales spread around by bored civilians. But few select stories happened to be true. And since lady fate tended to have a strange sense of humor, today the happy little alien would meet another very much like her. Because everyone needed a friend. A pink streak was recklessly racing along the busy streets. It only barely zipped and zigzagged between the startled pedestrians. Some gasped in panic, others shook their fist and told the girl to watch where she was going. That’s right, the speeding dot was in fact a mischievous girl. At a closer glance, she was pink all over as if her skin had been made of taffy. Dressed lightly, she looked less like a human and more like something that might pop out if you rubbed an ancient lamp. However, this little creature didn’t grant wishes... Unless you wished for mischief. Zam was glowing with an aura of unbridled energy. Today’s game was tag. And she was winning! After yet another near miss, she flipped around in mid flight and stared backwards. Nyeh heh hee~! The people chasing her had been left so far behind she couldn’t even see them anymore. She would win for sure! However, the victorious thoughts were cut short by a sudden tingle. She whipped her head around, completely ignoring how a neck should work. Her eyes widened. Doood-! Too late. Boom. A huge impact shook the whole street. Pigeons scattered. Puffs of dust twirled in the wind. And then, silence. It all happened so quickly. Did the careless little Majin just fly right into another pink girl? Or was it yet another mailbox she bowled over? Even Zam wasn’t sure anymore. When the dust settled, the pink creature was sprawled awkwardly on the pavement. A weak groan with disjointed words tumbled from between her lips. "What... just... happened...?" Her eyes had turned into swirling spirals. Well, to be fair, most Earthlings would be out cold from such a hefty impact. Luckily she was a fair bit sturdier than that. Knowing the girl’s reputation, most bystanders shook their head and steered clear. It was okay though. She would be fiiiine... As soon as the world stopped spinning... Commercials didn't last a long time. But it was okay, because when they were over, the TV had showed something that could be fun or important. Lady Sakurai had said all of the channels were different and had what someone watching would like. She didn't know what channel was playing on the TV she was looking at, but she knew that it was something important, because it wasn't just one person talking. The camera kept changing to different people, who talked into the thing some of the others in the estate used to sing, before the camera went back to the people they had left. They did it so quickly. And she tried to listen to what they were using. She was told that it was important to listen, because it was what made people happy. When they were bothered by someone, they liked to talk, and she needed to hear what they had to say first, even if she didn't like what they were saying. Lady Sakurai called it, being informed of the area. But all the people on TV were saying, was that it was going to be warm out, and some problems that people already took care of. Nothing like any people who were bothering others, and needed to be told to stop. She kept listening to make sure, before feeling something in the air, was making her stomach hurt. Someone strong must have been around, but what were they doing, moving around like that? They were bothering her, making her body feel this way. Did they know they were doing this? She tried to shake off the feeling, looking away from the TV, and down at herself as her body got all squishy. This was what happened when people bothered her. It made everything all hard to move, and she had to wave her body around to make it go away. She frowned, moving her squishy arms through the air, to get them back to normal. But then something hit her, bouncing off her squishy body, while she tried to fix herself. That could have hurt her. Looking over to see what had happened, her body going back to normal by itself, her first thought was that a bad person had run into her, and she had helped stopped them. Lady Sakurai had said that if she did something good, she was supposed to get a reward. That was why she had gotten this armor. She had been good around the estate, so it was something that was bought for her. What she had bumped into though, wasn't the kind of person she thought she would have saw. This girl was different, and looked like she might have been someone who could have been squishy like her. "Hey! You almost look like me!"She knew what she looked like, because of mirrors and store windows. Red eyes, and a big long antenna she could use to bother someone, if they kept bothering her. But why would someone go and do that? Her legs were all better, and spread out, as she stood over this girl's body, bending down to look at this person. They had yellow eyes, and she could tell how different they actually looked in other places. "But I'm bigger than you. So why do you feel stronger?"This girl looked like she was dizzy, but the more that she had tilted her head to see if she knew this person, the more that she thought about how her stomach didn't feel well because of what she was feeling. It came from this person. Someone who was smaller than her. Big people like her were supposed to have more power though. She didn't get it. What did this small girl do, to feel like she was this strong? Stepping back, she made her arms squishy again, and used it to try pulling the girl up, so she can stand instead of sitting down like that. It wasn't good to be on the ground, unless you were waiting. "Are you waiting for someone? The ground is dirty, and Lady Sakurai says you can only sit there if you're waiting."That was what she had been taught, and it was something easy to remember, because she had also sit and lied down like that. Except, it was on a porch, which was cleaner than the ground, because someone made it. Even if this person didn't accept her help, she still hummed as she shook her squishy arms to make it normal again. It was no good to have her body like that, because she wouldn't be able to touch anything. Being bumped into didn't bother her, since it didn't hurt her, and she knew now that the person who bumped into her, was someone small. People like that, were only supposed to get a pat on the head. They were supposed to all grow up to be people that didn't bother anyone, and someone who others could ask for help. Being good was something that felt nice to her, since it gave rewards that she had liked. She wasn't expecting for someone small to have anything to give to her, but if she told someone else that she had helped them, then maybe they would give her something. That was supposed to happen when helping. WC: 889, TWC: 1,907, Majin Zam

With another groan the dizzy girl peeled herself off the pavement. Good thing her bouncy body healed quickly. An odd comment caught her attention. She shook her head vehemently. "Nuh-uh, Zam looks like Zam, cuz that’s what Zam looks like!" That wasn’t the concussion talking, no, just the usual Zam. Sometimes it was hard to word good. When the helping hand pulled her up, she nearly flopped over again. At least her upbeat attitude remained steady. "Of course I’m stronger. Zam is the strongest in the world!" Placing a hand on her hip, she underlined the boast by flexing her arm. Power bubbled from deep within her like a constantly overflowing fizzy drink.
Deciding that standing was too hard, the little Majin rose to float instead. Much better! Now she didn’t need to care which way the ground was going. She was going her own way. "Nope! I’m running away from the blue people! We are playing tag~!" It was one of her favorite games. The city had so many exciting routes for running away. She didn’t disagree on the ground thing though. It was dusty and rough and all kinds of icky. Bleh. She quickly dusted her pants. As if by magic, the white, silky material was cleaned with the power of pats alone.
...Wait, who was talking anyway?
Now that the silly world was finally tired of spinning, Zam could get her bearings again. Immediately her eyes went wide. Pink skin? Pretty eyes? And a tingly feeler on top too? A surprised gasp left her lips as she pointed at the armored girl. "Oooh! You’re the one who almost looks like me!" The golden gaze twinkled with curiosity. Eagerly she floated closer. "Hey, hey, are you like Zam too?" She was kinda sure yes, but it was always good to ask. Grandpa had taught her that. "Zam is a Majin, is what Zam is." She offered oh so helpful clarification in case the other girl didn’t know that.
The smaller Majin circled around and round the bigger one. Her glimmering stare carefully scanned the stranger from head to toe. Likewise, her pale antennae twitched, taking in what eyes could not see. "Hey, hey listen! Do you have a name? Where are you from? What is that thing?" The torrent of questions was punctuated by repeated pokes at the girl’s armor. She had never seen anything like it, so of course it immediately drew her interest. For the moment she completely forgot that she was in the middle of playing a game right now... Words: 434 [Total = 888] Majin Sayako

She had looked and looked. But no matter how long she did, she couldn't see what this small person had meant. They both had pink skin, and their eyes were also black. It was just the color that was different, because her own was red. Maybe this girl had hit her head or something, and was confused? She didn't see anything purple though, or smell any blood, which meant that things should have been okay. She thought so anyway. Even when this person looked like they were going to fall over, when she helped them up, they still sounded happy. People who were hurt were supposed to go to the hospital, or lie down until they were better. But if this girl was like her, then she only needed to wait if she was hurt, and things just didn't fix itself. "You're smaller. Small people aren't supposed to be strong." She was listening as much as she could, but it was hearing something like this, that made her shake her head, almost like how she had seen this girl do. Strongest in the world was too much for a small person. She would have to see this girl bother someone, if she was to decide if that was true or not. But people weren't supposed to bother others, unless they had bothered them first. They could get in trouble. If that happened, then she would have to wait around the estate, and not watch people have fun. That was boring. She didn't like it when things were like that. The sun stayed out too long when that happened. "Blue people?" Watching as the girl had started to float, she took her eyes off of this person, and looked the way they had came. She couldn't see someone who looked like that. But this small person was playing tag, so these other people just couldn't find her yet. It was only like hide and seek, but big people didn't play tag. Looking back, she found this girl was floating a lot closer to her, and looked a lot happier than before. But it didn't sound like they had really listened, seeing them ask what she had already said. "You didn't listen. People who don't listen will get lost." That was what she was always told by Lady Sakurai. How was anyone supposed to know where to get food, if they didn't listen? She wasn't lost, but was only walking around because she didn't know this city. She would need to know someone who was, and listen, to try and find what she was looking for. Though she still couldn't see anything that could help, or remember what she was supposed to do in the first place. Her words had came out with a pout, not only because not listening was a bad thing, but also because she was bigger than this girl. That meant there was supposed to be full attention on her, until she was done. All the moving around, if she wasn't a bigger person, would have made her forget her words. She was being poked at, and a lot of questions were coming at her. They were all easy questions though. "Yes! Sayako lives in Satan City with Lady Sakurai. She gave this thing so it can help me go home when I try to go home." This girl was strong, but since they weren't bothering each other, she didn't need to worry about the poking hurting her gift. It was asleep, and would only wake up if she wanted it to, by waving in front of it. But there was no reason to do it now. Lunch time was going to come soon, so she was going to be busy. Since people said that she ate a lot more than others, when she went to go and find some lunch, she wasn't going to go anywhere else until she had finished. So no moving around, or the food would go bad. "Do you live here? It's almost time for lunch, and Sayako can't find the store with cookies." There was a chance that this small person might have. She didn't wear any bracers, like the people she knew back at home. Wearing these things were supposed to keep them safe, if someone had bothered them. Everyday for lunch, she ate something different, because that was what bigger people did. It couldn't just always be candy, or else she wouldn't be able to sleep, until she went to go bother someone and finished. WC: 755, TWC: 2,662, Majin Zam

The childish Majin cocked her head, eyes wide and full of curiosity. Like a puppy trying -and failing- to understand. This person was saying a lot of strange things. In her opinion they didn’t make much sense, nope. "But how does that hard vest thingy help you go home?" Her head tilted the other way, as if a different angle would somehow help her understand better. "Why don’t you just follow the tingle?" Her antennae wiggled to underline her question. That’s how she found to different places. If she wanted to go to Grandpa’s place, she just felt and followed his tingle. Easy!
However, it was the one peculiar magic word that finally caught the child’s attention. "Cookies?" Her eyes practically twinkled at the thought. "Ooh, Zam knows a great cookie store!" Suddenly her arm stretched out, trying to snatch Sayako by the hand. "This way!" Without wasting any time, she blasted off. If the other Majin wasn’t careful, she was going to get dragged along for a wild ride. The excited little missile zipped along crowded sidewalks, across busy streets and through shady alleys. Startled people gasped and shouted as the passing rush of wind nearly pushed them over. It was a small miracle she didn’t hit anyone or anything this time...
Moments later, a small bell sitting above a door chimed as the pink blur burst into a bakery. Cozy and quaint little place, it seemed like a relic of older times. Wooden furniture, from the shelves to the counter, gave the shop a rustic feel. It was a small bit of countryside at the heart of a city. The clerk was a lanky, wrinkly old fellow with a flour-stained apron. Likewise, the customers were also the older sort, retirees who had come here every day for the past decade at least. Delicious scents of freshly baked pastries drifted in the air. The displays were lined with all manner of treats, from bread to cakes and, indeed, cookies.
Immediately upon seeing the pink creature, the lanky clerk let out rather shrill screech and ducked behind the register. All the customers followed example, seeking refuge in any nook or cranny they could reach. Quivering meekly, they tried to avoid eye contact with anything pink and bouncy. Hushed whispers voiced their terrified disbelief, not wanting to believe that it was back again... Zam, meanwhile, was too busy drooling over some huge cinnamon buns to notice. Eagerly she grabbed one in each hand and started munching. The very first bite gave her shivers. A happy hum escaped her full mouth. Sooo good~! This place had the best treats! It was okay to not understand things. A lot of people didn't know what something was, and there was even more people who could answer what they didn't understand. That was learning, and it was a good thing, because it let people talk about what they knew. She didn't want to really wake the machine up yet, but she knew how to answer without it. Why it was able to do what it did to help her, she was told that it was because the people who made it, let it remember a lot of things, which it could call and tell other people who could help it find the way home. There was a lot of back and forth there, but she was able to remember it, because that's what bigger people were able to do. They didn't need to ask for help for something like how to use one of these thingies. "It calls people and opens up a map for places Sayako knows. But Sayako is letting it sleep right now." That should have been something this person could have understand. There were other ways to explain it, but maybe when she let it rest some more, she could just show how this thing had worked, and why it was important to keep it safe. She didn't care that it was hard. This was a gift for her being good. When the girl had asked her about following tingles, she had shook her head again to disagree. Trying to do that didn't help at all. There was too many to really find who she was looking for. Using the machine was better. Before she was given it, she had asked for help, and just kept walking to where they told her. Now she was able to see how long it would take to go home, and how far away it all was. Something she couldn't do if she had tried to find people by feeling. She also wanted to actually use this gift, and know it so well, she could show people like Lady Sakurai, that she could do a lot of good things with it. "Too far away. This thing shows how long and where to go better." She couldn't use it to find somewhere with cookies on her own, because she didn't know where things in this city was. It was her first time going here, and not somewhere like a village, where even if she didn't know where things were, the people there were nice enough to tell her. So many of them lived so close together. But here in the city, they were all spread out, and she had to really look into their windows, to see what they were selling. The signs they had didn't really mean anything to her. They were just names. "You're fast for a small person." She was pulled away by the girl, after being told this person knew where a place was, and had to fly so she didn't get left behind. Pulling like that on her army was going to make it all squishy otherwise. Lots of people and buildings passed by, and she tucked in her body so she wouldn't bump into them. They were so surprised, but she understood why. It had been the same way, when she had met this girl. She was going to be careful not to fall though and get dizzy. When they had finally stopped, her eyes had looked up at the bell that rang, hanging from the door. She liked that sound. But turning away to see where this small person was, she liked the smell of the place even more. There was a lot of food here. She could tell from how it was more than cookies around here, which seeing had shook her stomach, letting her know that it was lunch time now. A lot of the things here had looked good, but she could only have one thing. Too many different things was bad for her, was what Lady Sakurai had told her. She could get sick. The noise the other people were making, she didn't understand what happened. They acted like bad people had shown up, but looking around, she didn't see anyone wearing any masks. Though they still hid anyway. Her new friend had grabbed some big buns and ate it, which she had seen before in other stores. It was okay to do, because it was going to be paid for anyway. No one was supposed to say they couldn't. But she liked to have all of hers in a bag, and sitting down to eat. So she was going to wait for the people who worked here, to do that for her first, before going on to enjoy the lunch she picked. "Sayako wants a lot and each cookie you have." She moved her hands out to show just how much, pointing at the cookies behind where they put them, before carefully sliding off her bracers, one at a time. With a pop, her arm had spit out bills of zeni, which she folded all together, looking at them and the numbers of the signs they had to count what she needed. This is what bigger people did. It was bad to take stuff from here, and not pay for it. But Lady Sakurai had given her a lot of zeni, when she went away from somewhere, so nothing bad would happen. "Is this enough for two big bags? Sayako will sit over there to eat it." She handed over what she thought was the right amount, picturing the cookies in her head, and how many could fit in a big bag. They would have to make a lot more than what she saw could fit though. But she was fine with waiting here. Lunch time always had some waiting. But the food was always good, and she had always left somewhere happy. Since it only started, there was still a lot of time left. She would have to think about what she couldn't remember after. When the second Majin approached the counter, the poor, shriveled clerk screeched louder. "Oh gods, there are two of them!" His quivering knees nearly buckled when the taller creature talked. The request for cookies was treated like a demand and met with frantic nodding. "Y-yes, of course, right away. Pleasedon’thurtme..." His voice was reduced to pitiful squeaking. That’s what he got for screaming haphazardly. As quickly as his trembling hands could, he shoveled all sorts of cookies into two huge paper bags. In a blur of sugary goodness one could catch glimpses of snickerdoodle, oatmeal, chocolate chip and many more different kinds. Better yet, the treats were still warm from the oven. Their delicious scent tickled the nose.
Meanwhile, Zam wandered to the counter as well, hugging a pile of pastries. Most of her torso was covered in powdered sugar, but that didn’t stop her from stuffing her face. It didn’t even slow her down. Between the bites, her curious stare stopped on the money. "Mfm nom... Hm? What’s that?" Leaning close, she gave the zeni a tentative sniff. Immediately her sensitive nose wrinkled. "I don’t think you can eat that stuff..." Shaking her head, she gulped down another cinnamon bun in a single bite. A delighted squeal managed to escape her full mouth. Yummeh! This really was the best cookie place in the city! She loved coming here often.
Before long, the paper bags were filled to nearly bursting. The clerk swallowed nervously and presented them to the taller girl. "He-here you go... Now will you please leave...?" Sweating bullets, he kept making nervous glances towards the short glutton. He opened his mouth, as if to say something, but he could get out anything else. Zam, on the other hand, was blissfully oblivious to the tense atmosphere. She was much too busy emptying one shelf after another. Yes, entire shelves were getting cleaned. When it came to sweets and other tasty things, her appetite was nothing short of monstrous.
And somewhere in the distance, several sirens wailed... Words: 344 [Total = 1676] Majin Sayako

Had she been too quiet? The comment from this person was something she found strange, hearing him be so surprised to see that she was here. But it also made her listen to what he had said, and just how much the people here must have knew the smaller person, if they were all sitting away like that. It was good to know people. Lady Sakurai knew a lot of people, and because she did, she was able to make a lot of zeni. They were important, she had been told. Without them, a lot of places she could walk around, would be bad. She didn't want that to happen, which was why she did what she was told, and not bother them. They weren't people who felt like they could have bothered her too, anyway. Not strong enough to do so. This man who gave her cookies, had said something else she didn't understand, but he didn't repeat himself, which meant it wasn't important. All of the stuff he was putting into the bags she had asked for though, made her happy seeing. They were so many different things, but they were cookies, so it was okay. She had only turned away when her friend had came over, carrying different foods than what she had saw before. The smell from the white powder coming from the girl's clothes, only made her hungry to even look at. It was something that should have been wiped off, and also licked down because it was food. "Only bigger people have it. It's not for eating." The small person didn't seem to know what zeni was, which she found strange. But that was something she thought was easier to understand. It wasn't too different from playing with leaves and giving it away. All of the eating that the girl was doing, which she didn't get to do herself, while she had waited, made her turn back to see if things were almost done. This wasn't the longest she had waited, but it always felt like it, having to watch others eat. It was almost like she had been told by Lady Sakurai to sit down in a corner. She didn't really like that feeling, because it made her feel like she had done something bad. "Are you going to eat that? That's for eating." Briefly turning back again to the smaller person, she pointed at the white powder, which she knew she could have patted down and onto her hands. There were sticks who had that kind of thing in different colors. It was only the voice of the man who had gotten the cookies for her, that made her turn back around again before it could be answered. The bags looked as big as it should have, according to what she could remember. What this man had said though, she didn't like. Why would they leave for? "No one is bothering you, so why leave?" Before she had gone to grab the bags, she had tucked back the zeni she had into her arms, placing her bracers back on too, so it would be more safe. Only after did she wrap her arms around the two bags, making some of her hands all sticky so that it wouldn't fall over. She wanted to go sit down and eat. Her friend had already moved away to the other food they had, while she didn't listen to the man, and sat down at an empty table. This was her food. She had pay for it. People only had to leave if they were bothering someone, and she didn't see anyone using ki to hit someone else. That was bad. "Hey, are you going to sit with me? There's something else Sayako had to do, but can't remember." She started to bite into one of the cookies as she had asked, the sirens in the distance being a source of noise that made her think about what bad people they were after, if they were using something like that. Whoever they were, she wasn't going to let them take her food. WC: 686, TWC: 4,353, Majin Zam

Zam blinked at Sayako’s amazing wisdom, her mouth forming a little o out of wonder. "Ooh, I see..." Not for eating... So that’s how it was... Yup yup! She didn’t get it at all! But that was okay. There were lots of things she didn’t really get. When it came to eating though, the little glutton was an expert. The question was met with a cheeky grin and eager nodding. "Of course I’m gonna eat it!" She stuck out her blue tongue and suddenly stretched it to a ridiculous size. "Nyeh hee~!" With one sloppy slurp the sweet powder got licked up and savored. She reeled the tongue back and grinned wider, wholly pleased with herself. Delicious~!
In stark contrast, the clerk was still trembling in his shoes. He visibly recoiled when the bigger Majin asked the innocent question. Swallowing the clump of terror in his throat, he tried to put on his most authoritative tone. "B-because you are scaring the customers. Y-you can’t sta-" However, the smaller Majin wasn’t having any of it and cut the man short. "Bleh, don’t listen to him. He’s just being grumpy." The poor fellow opened mouth, but before he could protest further, the little creature shot him a gleaming, red glare. "Hey mister! Don’t bully my friend or I’m gonna beat you up again!" She had done it once so she knew she could do it!
Golden coloration returned to Zam’s gaze as she tagged along to the table. "Sure! I’m good at sitting~!" She stretched her arm to fetch few more buns and pulled herself a chair. Her head cocked curiously at the odd comment. "Oh, you can’t remember? What can’t you remember?" If her friend remembered what she had forgotten, then she could help her remember the forgotten thing. Simple! Plopping down, she shoveled more treats down the hatch. Judging by the ravenous rate, her stomach might as well been bottomless. It was a mystery how she hadn’t turned round from all the eating. Then again, Majins did work in the weirdest ways.
Unfortunately the sirens had gotten pretty close by now. Annoyingly close. Blue and red flashes flooded the street. Tires screeched and doors slammed. Someone shouted strange things. Zam’s brow furrowed more and more with each sound rattling her patience. "So noisy..." With a miffed mutter, she took another big bite and tried to focus on her friend instead. It wasn't the fun kind of noisy either. Sheesh, so many adults were being super rude today. As soon as she was full, she was definitely gonna go out there and tell them to be quiet. Yes, zeni wasn't for eating. All of the things about it, there was a lot to explain, enough to where she would have likely got lost trying to do so herself. But when it came to explanations, if she really had to explain something, she remembered being told that drawing it out was something that would help her not get lost. With all of the talking going on from the man who gave her these cookies, she thought it would have been easy for the smaller person to forget all the food that dropped onto her shirt. But her friend did remember, and ate it real quickly. Nothing she could remember was a problem for a person to do. All she knew was that eating too quick, would keep making her body feel the food that was inside. Which wasn't good because she would start to get tired. A place like this wasn't somewhere to do that. "You're quick! If you finish early, Sayako will try to hurry too." Having someone wait too long wasn't good either. She would have to work really hard on her own, without someone to show her around. That was time she could have spent doing a lot of other things. Walking around for a long time like that, it would get dark before she was able to likely find what she was looking for. The voice of the man who gathered the cookies for her, had spoke up again. But the way he did, made things sound really serious. She didn't get why. What was there to be serious about? All she did was buy her lunch, and wanted to go sit down to eat it. What he was saying didn't make any sense. Scaring people was only when they were watching movies in the dark, or there was bad people around who was too strong. Her friend was strong, but this small person wasn't bad. "They need to stop watching movies if they're scared." She took a glance at the other people in the store, who she remembered had decided to sit far away. Someone who was too scared wouldn't be able to move for awhile, if they didn't really try to get away. There was something else the smaller person had said, about beating, which made her wonder what kind of game this girl had played, if that was supposed to make the man be quiet. Listening was hard when she had started to actually eat what she had, while taking more glances here and there at the different ones. "Sayako came to this city to get something for Lady Sakurai. It's supposed to help everyone in the estate." She might not have remembered what she was looking for, but she knew that it had to do with the person who took care of her for a long time, and that she wanted to buy it because she was a good person. The loud sirens and door slams, she didn't pay attention to, knowing that where they had went wasn't any of her business. Sitting here and eating like this was going to take some time, if she didn't want to chew a lot. The smaller person really liked eating those different buns. It was a different smell than what she had in front of her, but nothing that would have made her switch. She could have it maybe tomorrow. "They're going to go bother bad people. They're not going to take long because they're busy." She was told that cops were good, and that they could help someone like her, if she was lost. But because they were also busy people, this noise shouldn't be anything that would keep going on. Even if this place was a little weird, her friend was right about it having good cookies. While the Majins munched their treats, the civilians tried their hardest to keep quiet. In their corners they quivered, choking back squeaks and sobs. The pink girl’s threat had left strained tension in its wake. Most here were well aware what she did when angered. Usually mysterious warriors showed up to save the day. They had a strangely soothing effect on the girl, appeasing her anger with minimal destruction. Often they even apologized profusely and paid for the damages. However, lately they had been busy with bigger threats... leaving the childish monster free to rampage... The last time she had left the shop in shambles and the poor clerk bedridden. Nobody wanted a repeat of that. So they could only wait for help and pray.
Meanwhile the tiny destroyer paid the shaky people no mind. Nodding, she eagerly agreed with her friend. "Yup yup, Grandpa says scary movies give you nightmares and stuff. They clearly watched too many of those." Folding her arms, she took a pause from stuffing her face and leaned back to ponder about her friend’s problem. "Hm hm... Something to help everybody..." She tried so hard to think of the best things ever. "Is it... uh... food?" That did help everybody, right? "Candy?" Also great. Brow furrowing and cheeks puffing she strained her feeble pea-brain so hard that smoke started rising from her ears.
By the end of it the scatterbrained Majin gasped out a puff of steam. Her eyes were swirling into black spirals. "Uhhhh... No good... I can’t figure it out either..." All the annoying noise from outside wasn’t helping one bit. Flopping against the table, she let out a grumpy mutter. "I dunno... They are bothering me right now..." She didn’t like these puh-leese people one bit. They were noisy and mean. Although, now that she thought about them, it felt like she had forgotten something too. But what?
Suddenly the door was thrown open. Men in black armor and strange helmets burst through. Pointing their huge weapons at the creatures, they shouted angry commands. "Freeze! On the floor, now!" Ah, now Zam remembered! She had been playing tag before! Oh and now her friend would get to play too! Sticking out her tongue, she wagged a playful finger. "Nuh uh~! That’s not how freeze tag works, mister! You gotta touch one of us first!" In response, a storm of hot lead pierced the air. The creature was riddled with countless holes and slouched against the shelf behind her. A pensive silence followed in the wake of the gunshots. Until there was a twitch... Rapidly the holes closed and the girl lifted her head. "Hey mister..." The gentle gold gaze turned into fierce red glare.

There were a lot of things that could have helped everybody.
Food was one of them, yes, but eating helped people in a different kind of way than what she had wanted. Besides, food was something to buy on shopping days. A time where she always went along with someone from the estate, because neither of them could carry everything on their own to the waiting line.
What she couldn't remember was something else, but while she was thinking about what it could be, it wasn't anything she would have tried too hard to remember. Not unless someone was making her leave the city before she could figure it out. There was a lot of time. There was always a lot of time when she left home.
Her friend though, was frowning in a way that made smoke appear. She could tell from the smell. Her body did that too, but for a lot of different reasons. It wasn't hot or cold though, so this must have been because the smaller person didn't like not being able to help. That was okay though.
"No, that doesn't sound right. But if all the stores aren't closed yet, then there will be more time to think."
She hadn't finished eating yet, which meant the sun was going to still stay out longer. When it did start to go down, then it wasn't until there were little people walking around, would all stores close.
Eating and talking like this wasn't too hard for her, since the smaller person was the only one between them, that didn't like what she couldn't remember more. It's what happens when people were done eating.
They could do whatever they wanted, and lying down like that was one of those things. There was enough space between them for her not to need moving her food, which tastes kept changing, as she dug around for different ones. Too many of the same ones didn't interest her, until she ran out of new stuff.
"Where?"
The police bothering someone so small was bad. Smaller people it wasn't good to bother, because they could die. She knew their bodies could get squishy and avoid a lot of bothering, but it still wasn't good.
Her eyes had looked over her friend for anything that looked like it hurt, right before the doors had opened, and the police had came. Playing tag? But they were carrying a lot of bad things.
"Sayako is too big to play tag, and is still also eating."
She had already said that earlier. Only hide and seek was something okay for her to play, because she saw a lot of bigger people do it all the time, with the smaller people that lived with them.
All of the people that were around, she didn't like all of the things that they were carrying. She was still going to eat, but what they had was really bad, and she had to carefully hold her food.
Parts of her body had turned squishy to make a wall around it, like a tunnel that a train would go through. Something that she did all before the police had started bothering the smaller person she met today.
"Now they're bothering you. That's not good."
There was a lot of those things that she knew hurt people, and she didn't understand what was going on. This was supposed to be a game of tag, according to her friend. So what were these people doing?
"You're going to lose your jobs!"
Lady Sakurai knew a lot of important people who could take that kind of thing away. All she was doing was trying to eat, and there was no bad people around that she could see, that could make them come here.
The way her friend was talking, sounded upset, so she was going to be careful while she kept eating.

Fear was contagious. The strike team was hesitating, slowly retreating towards the door. Seeing the regenerating creature shrug off the bullets was pretty bad for their morale. Shaky glances were cast, quiet whispers shared. What was the protocol about immortal taffy monsters again? One of them reached for the radio, struggling to keep his hands and voice from trembling. Backup, they needed backup immediately. This thing... was a B-class threat! He pleaded anyone listening to call the army, the King’s Guard, the Z-force... Someone who could stop these monsters! Unfortunately for all of them, the most effective choice around here was preoccupied.
Huffing and puffing hot steam, the little terror stomped over to the quivering cops. Her little hands balled into fists as she agreed with her friend. "Yeah, we are both still eating! So you guys are being super rude!" Five seconds and several smacks later they were all unceremoniously thrown out. Unfortunately, no amount of special forces training prepared one against a Majin. Glaring at the meanie dogpile, she shouted and flailed her fists. "And don’t come back until you learn to play nice!" For good measure, she chucked a handful of ki after them. A pink explosion illuminated the street. The blue and red flashes stopped. People screamed and pieces of smoldering metal rained noisily on the pavement.
And finally... Silence.
Zam dusted her hands and floated back to the table. As she plopped down to finish a half-eaten chocolate chip muffin, the usual cheery smile returned. Steam stopped rising. Red turned back into gold. Having vented her frustration, she was feeling much better. Ooh, maybe now she could give guessing another shot! There was just one teeny tiny problem... She was still completely out of ideas. If this mystery thing her friend wanted was not candy or food, then she couldn’t really understand why it was so important. But she wasn’t going to judge, nope! People had weird hobbies and sometimes needed strange things. Like how Grandpa grew and snipped those tiny trees.
The childish Majin leaned closer, flopping against the table. She was clinging to the only hint she had left. "Hey, hey listen! What kind of stores do you wanna see?" She patted the table with both hands, giving rhythm to her suggestions. "There are food stores and movie stores and toy stores and and..." The list of all the places she considered fun went on and on, including more than few candy stores. Though she was willing to visit boring stores too if her friend wanted it. Maybe finding the right place would make her remember! Words: 437 [Total = 3027] Majin Sayako

It was usually hard to do two different things at once.
But keeping her body squishy while she had ate, was something she thought was pretty easy. All it had to do was lie there in front of her, and no matter what could happen, her food would still be all okay.
While one arm had sat there, she used the other to continue eating, though more careful this time, because of what was going on. It was very bad, seeing so many bigger people come in like this.
First she had been told that they were here because of tag, a game that she was too old to play. If it had been hide and seek, things would have been different. The bigger people that played that game, they did so because it was a responsibility. That stuff that people like her were supposed to have.
But hide and seek didn't happen. The police only started bothering the smaller person, who took everything a lot better than she had thought. Their bodies made things like this feel funny, but for her, the feeling was still something that she didn't like, and wanted to stay away from when it happened.
It was why she decided to stay out of the way, and even though she should have been the one to talk to the police, let the smaller girl do it instead. Trying to tell other bigger people what to do, wasn't something that was good either. They could get mad, and when people were like that, they weren't good listeners.
This was something to stay away from, since her friend was the one who wanted to be the one taking care of things. So she only stood back and watch, trying not to draw any bad attention to herself.
But things were over really quickly, like what she knew the girl could be. The police had bothered the smaller girl, and then things went really quiet. It was the kind of thing that happened, when people bothered each other, which was why Lady Sakurai had always told her to stay away from that stuff.
All of the quiet was weird though. Even with the smaller person coming back, and leaning closer to her. Something that made her look over, as she stopped her own arm from being squishy.
The way that they had bothered the girl, had really been a lot. If they had paid more attention to her, they would have done the same to her too, she knew it. It didn't look like there was any pain, and there was still a lot of energy. She was like that when she was a smaller person, but things were different now.
"Sayako didn't come here for the food or movie store. Lady Sakurai is too big for the toy store."
Movies were only for night time, and on days like the weekend. She didn't think something like that was today, or that she needed to get a movie, or else she would have hurried up and gone home.
The toy store she had interest in herself personally, but what she wanted to get was all for her caretaker, so it would have been a waste of time going there. She did see what the smaller girl was doing though.
"It's not the book store either, because Lady Sakurai doesn't have a lot of time to read."
Only the others that lived in the estate and helped them, had the time to do so, and they did so for her. So that was another thing that didn't sound like it was the right place. She was sure of it.
Of all the things that it could actually be though, her mind was still somewhat on what had happened, and how much she didn't really want to keep being here. Even if she didn't exactly finish eating.
"Are you done eating? We can go look around instead of sit."
There was only a handful left that she had, which she could have just taken with her as she went. Whether or not they would be any more people bothering them, that depended on whether or not they ran again.
She shook her head at the idea, knowing all the stuff she had ate though. It was better to just walk away from where the police were, and however they all were outside, with all the metal stuff of a car.
"But no running. It's not good to run after eating."

Sayako’s answer made Zam’s jaw drop from sheer disbelief. "Too big?!" It made her vivid imagination bubble wildly. For a moment there, she imagined a giant lady peeking into a toy store, trying to squeeze a hand through the door. It got a goofy giggle out of her. The silly image vanished from her mind with an imaginary pop. Hmmm, nah, her friend prooobably meant that this Lady Sakurai just didn’t like toys anymore. Adults were weird like that, too busy to play or read stories. Bleh. If being an adult meant no more toys or stories, then she didn’t want to grow up. Ever.
When the calm friend suggested leaving, the excitable troublemaker bounced up from her seat. "Yup yup! Let’s go!" Looking around would be way better than just guessing. Good plan, great plan! Her arm stretched to fetch few more treats for the road. Never too many snacks! The comment on running was met with an idle shrug. "Hm, okay! I won’t run~!" Oddly specific word choice... Though the reason became obvious soon enough. Instead of walking, the playful girl was floating around. Flying was fun and she often wondered why everyone didn’t do it. Cradling the treats in her arms, she zipped for the door and left the bell chiming in her wake.
As soon as the Majin duo left, the poor, terrified civilians breathed a sigh of relief in unison. One after another, they dared to rise and shuffle out of hiding. Yet another creature crisis averted... No thanks to the local Police though… Many of the surly pensioners grumbled about their tax money being wasted on useless officers. What good were they if they couldn’t even handle one young punk? Meanwhile, said officers were too busy fleeing for their lives. The requested reinforcements never came. Someone had told them to throw a cookie at it and shoo it away. As if they could just do that...
Outside of the bakery was a mess. Chunks of burnt and twisted metal littered the street. There was an enormous crater in the middle, still smoldering with traces of pink ki. Zam, however, paid it no mind. Like it was nothing unusual in this city. "Hey, hey listen!" Zipping close to Sayako, she patted her on the shoulder, demanding attention. ...Again. "Which way do you wanna go? This way...?" She pointed down the street, towards a line of clothing shops in order of increasing fanciness. "Ooor that way?" Her rubbery arm bent backwards, pointing in turn towards some furniture and interior decor stores. Words: 433 [Total = 3460] Majin Sayako
