Kamui didn't expect to enjoy Earth nearly so much.
It was a surprise that the Frost Demon soldier had not found himself on the frontier world before. His operations back when he was a freelance pirate were centered on the North and Eastern Quadrants which were mainly the center of his raids. However, since joining the Kabochan Confederacy his efforts were mainly centered in the East Quadrant, where the majority of the Armada was. As much as his own efforts were provided to saving Planet Cane, he had previously avoided Earth, for some reason not seeing it as worth his time. How wrong he was. In light of Emperor Carambolis's growing influence and his recent alliance with Earth, Kamui had deemed the planet worthy of his lovely presence.
His week tour of the planet was slowly stretching into the second week, purely by "accident". He had unexpectedly fell in love with Earthling Cuisine, the vast selection of dishes that Earthlings had at their fingertips, each of them more exquisite then the next, it was an explosion of flavor on his tastebuds. Honestly, he would find himself hard pressed if one day he was forced to choose between which one he preferred more: Earthling Cuisine or Brench Cuisine. Oh dear, the day in which he had to choose was a sad one!
However, it wasn't simply the fine dining that caught his attention. Oh no. It was the fighters of this realm. Martial Artists, they were called. This interest mostly stemmed from his rather short bout with Tora, Master of the so called "Tiger Style" martial arts, a form of fighting derived from one of the planet's native species of beast. While Kamui had still beaten the human without resorting to transforming, the human had possessed a fighting style reminiscent of Kamui's own, to the point that the Frost Demon believed that if he gave the human a few years to fully mature and grow into his power, he could truly possess the power to stand up to Kamui's evolved form.
However, such a prospect had interested him. What if Tora wasn't the strongest human on the planet? What if there were humans of greater strength and ability? What if the human race capitalized upon skill and martial art to dominate their opponent rather than simply overpowering them, as so many species did?
A cause certainly worth investigating. It also gave him an "excuse" to extend his vacation on the planet for another week. If the Emperor asked, the teenage Changeling could always pretend the venture was for science. Adults liked that kind of shit, right? Education was always the priority, yes?
Now, Kamui found himself in a rather interesting town known as "East City". According to what his scouts had told him about the place, East City was historically known for housing a great deal of martial artists and seekers of spiritual enlightenment. They also confirmed that the historical reputation still rang true today. That there were still a great deal of temples (which these Earthlings called "Dojos" for some reason) laden throughout the city, attracting martial artists from far and wide.
Now that he was here, it was time to explore. But wait, disclaimer time. Kamui considered himself a worldly person. He was quite knowledgeable in foreign cultures, and knew a plethora of alien languages fluidly. However, when it came to Earth, he was still a bit lost. Thus, when he touched down upon the surface, he had no idea he had just started a traffic jam of epic proportions.
"WHAT THE HE-" Was all he could hear before the horns started blaring, multiple cars spinning almost out of control as they reared to avoid hitting the midnight black colored alien of five foot four inches. The sound of yells could be heard as one such car spun completely out of control before slamming into a lamppost.
Humans are so weird... Kamui noticed, observing the commotion with a rather amused expression on his face as he made no move to leave his planted position in the middle of a busy intersection.

A couple days of grueling recovery.
Being injured as she had been, against that being of pink flesh, she had been correct in her belief of just how little there was to do. Too much movement would have amounted to unnecessary strain, while her muscles had gone and healed, prompting her to do nothing more than light weight things like meditation.
There had been chances here and there, to converse more with her favorite instructor as well, but like the friends she had who now resided back in East City, she had wanted actual progress to come forth.
Going on to tell them some days ago, what she had decided her approach to growth would be, was different from telling someone like their master. There was always a lot of back and forth, with the woman declaring one thing, and her countering it with another, while having to forcibly drink unsweetened tea.
Some people often complained about the taste of water, but no matter what ingredients could make up what her master usually drank, nothing else in the world was more lackluster in her eyes.
So much time had been given to her to think over her decision, which had amounted to conserving what ki she gathered, when it came to her best attack. Things hadn't changed, as she was really certain that had been the primary reason she couldn't have defeated the girl, well before that jar of candy had broken.
Meditation had offered some semblance of training to do so, but nothing would have been more of a test, than actually applying things in real training. As graduates of the school who made their own departures, and was only starting to settle into more normal lives, she didn't view the idea that there were too many options, and she had wanted to refrain from contacting that pink child again just yet.
Knowing both parties she knew had lived in East City, and how most of the morning would be busy for any instructors or confident students, going back there had seemed like the easiest choice.
It was through her own involvement, that she had ran into the young girl in the first place. Progress was something that heavily influenced any desire to meet again with others, and with her ability to sense and suppress her own ki, it wouldn't have been difficult running into that being again too soon.
But it was also because of this decision of hers, was she not able to visit that shopkeep, who had been so persistent about keeping that jar of candy, until the very end where he had become ignored.
East City had always been its own big place. Something that competed against the other cities, whether before or after any cause of destruction. In a world full of higher powers, her small bout against that girl had been nothing comparable, even if that child had been so confident that she was the strongest.
It wasn't just pure power, that made an individual into someone of influence. What forces of power had protected this planet, likely went well beyond what people like her could have access to and see.
But there were rumors, always rumors, of just what could possibly be happening behind the scenes. The things that had led to what gathering communities to meet together, with how Capsule Corp was so recognizable as a galactic entity. To be in such a position, would have been so much a one in a million chance, had she chosen a more normal life. But having power when she had no importance, was a big start.
These two friends the girl had, and who she was meant to meet, would more than likely bring her into coming across other beings of power. They must have had an astounding pool of resources, if that child had been the strongest being she had met so far. It was a shame she couldn't have gotten a more precise measure, through the calculations of a scouter. She was still long away from living in enough comfort to get one.
And even if she did find herself more fortunate enough to garner money, it was still hardly going to be the first expense she would have dived into. Not when there were a lot of other things on her mind.
The air of the city was always different from what the school offered. But it was still something she viewed to be her first home, even if she was currently living somewhere more traditional, than the kind of advancements that were around here. The difference between the two wasn't exactly rare.
Martial artists, as many different school of thoughts there were, couldn't all just fit inside of a city, and cause the kind of destruction that ki was capable of performing. They had different ideologies, and some who were like her own, wanted something sizable, that had less of a chance in getting struck.
The journey between here and back towards her school, was something she always took on foot, as a form of training. That part didn't change, even if she had only taken off her gauze just this morning.
In comparison to what she had gone through against that child, this was all just light effort on her part. But there was nothing but strength to come from it. If there was anything that she had done a little differently today, it was her arrival to the city, being during the opening hours of the stores here, rather than before. An extra precaution to avoiding that walking pink mass of flesh.
She was actually curious of whether or not they had already fixed the damage, where she and that girl had fought. One which was caused only by the child herself, with how her techniques were more physical than anything energy base dealing with throwing ki. But the way to that area was blocked off by traffic.
Nothing which she had batted an eye towards, not only because she could manipulate her ki to fly, if she had really wanted, but also because anyone who considered themselves as a local knew to just go elsewhere to avoid these things. Whatever this cause was, the attention it attracted would have made things seemed more unusual, if not for the lack of any explosions or screams within the distance.
Moving past and away from the roads, there hadn't been anything she was really eager to do, but to go and kill time. There was less curiosity continuing her path elsewhere, and more so how noticeable of a line there was. It was uncertain just how long this had happened, but it wasn't something she could see last.
The more she walked however, the more it became apparent, that the cause of this traffic in the middle of this intersection, had been because of someone with above power than that of a Human.
The sight of that girl had been uncommon in her eyes, but this was a big city, and the universe was full of powerful beings. Though there were a couple of those around, who she had considered to be reputable enough, not to have known of them. Standing under the shade of a building for a moment, she saw that it had been one of those two groups. Next to the power, that armor was just something that was unmistakable.
History had a lot to say about these beings, and had there really been any trouble coming from this one, things would have really been more than blocked traffic. Her upbringing had taught her not to give any advice, without benefit. The back and forth she had with that child, while sparring with her, was meant to appeal, which had been what she had managed to achieve. It was a better circumstance for someone like this.
While the girl had friends to introduce her to, this being likely had some abundance of resources. She would see how things played out, knowing that those impatient and in cars, had likely already said a few words of their own. But what they couldn't sense, was something that she couldn't deny.
It was hard to say though, which kind of morality this one swung by. Appearances could be deceiving, and nothing here had gone wrong. Though whatever this being was here for, she could easily intercept.
The difference between them was obvious, in more than just power, as she wore her usual outfit, that showed confidence where most refrained from. But even so, there was a difference in her being like the others around here, most of which couldn't really even have a grasp on ki, without having to work for it.
There wasn't a need for her to suppress what power she built for herself just yet, not having sensed that girl she met some days ago in the area at the moment. She knew there were people who would have jumped at the chance to show off what power they had, no matter how unnecessary, and without any cause.
But she held comfort in being different, and holding values that most didn't.

To be fair, he didn't expect such a negative reaction to his arrival.
On the flip side, Kamui didn't expect a rolling of the red carpet, either. He wasn't some famous public figure. Hell, he wasn't Emperor Carambolis, or Galactic Emperor Polaris, whose arrival on any planet would be paired with some form of welcoming party, or at the very least be on the lips of most of the planet's inhabitants. No, Kamui wasn't nearly as famous as some of his Frost Demon brethren were. But at the same time, he expected his arrival to at least be treated with some form of hospitality in some form. But alas, that was not what he received.
Instead, he was greeted with swerving cars and crude profanity. Kamui didn't understand it. He was used to planetary based aircraft such as the hovercars that a great deal of Earthlings seemed to frequent, but he had to admit that he found most natives on other worlds to be better drivers than their human counterparts. The slightest disturbance and they went swerving into light poles.
This conclusion, of course, did not factor in the possibility that perhaps such an incident would not have occurred had Kamui slowed his descent down to ground level, or perhaps even looked to where he was landing, instead of crashing down to earth in the middle of a busy intersection. It had to be the fault of the human natives for not having better defensive driving skills in preparation for such a disruption to the day's typical routine.
Such logic was irrefutable.
Regardless, Kamui did not harp for long on the troubles of Earthlings, and whether they approved of him or not. He was here for a reason, and he didn't plan to be distracted much longer. A swift sweep through the general vicinity was quite disappointing. None of the drivers who stuck around long enough to throw harsh words and profanity at him did not project a power level even worth considering, the greater deal of them failing to even hit one hundred, which to him was simply unacceptable. Newborn Frost Demons were born with power levels above that, and these grown humans couldn't even exhibit half of that.
Was this the caliber of man in Earth's most "spiritual" city? Bred for martial arts? It was horrifically disappointing. Perhaps Tora was simply an exception to the average power of humans, rather than the standard. An outlier instead of the main curve. A disappointing notion.
He almost turned his back on the city and blasted away right there, when a power level flashed across his radar. Exposed, raw power. It was no where within the realm of his, of course. In fact, Kamui guessed that were he to challenge this one to a fight, he just might break her accidentally, based on what happened when Kamui released too much of his power in his fight with Tora, breaking the man's collarbone and launching him into a statue, rendering him unconscious upon impact. And that was without transforming.
This one he couldn't test. He would merely have to speak to her. Use her as a source of information for what he needed to know. His eyes searching through the crowd, he zero'd in on the focal point of such amassed power, his eyes scanning a human girl who seemed to be standing further away from the crowd that was slowly beginning to crowd on the now not so busy intersection where Kamui had been standing ever since he "crash landed".
Shifting for the first time, Kamui turned to face Rukia, and suddenly his visage vanished from sight, a fact that alarmed the crowd, who thought that the Frost Demon was about to destroy the whole city. But, that couldn't be further. In fact, all he did was execute Rapid Movement, the Frost Demon's already immense natural speed enhanced by Ki, in a fashion that even to a trained eye, the movement itself would be rather difficult to see, with clear vision and perception only restoring itself once Kamui re-appeared, this time mere feet away from Rukia.
His tail swaying back and forth before smacking against the ground, the rather short Changeling crossed his arms, looking up at Rukia.
"Good evening, my name is Kamui Solaris, Lieutenant belonging to the Kabochan Confederacy. And no, I am not here to invade your planet. But congratulations, you have the lovely honor of accompanying me for the day and teaching me all I need to know about your rather weird yet fascinating culture. Now onward for a tour..." Kamui said rather bluntly before moving off in a random direction, expecting the human to follow. The greeting was rather abrupt, but the Frost Demon reveled in that fact. This trip wouldn't be any fun if he couldn't play with the minds of even a few people. It's what he did.
"Tell me, who are you and frankly, why are most Earthlings so unfortunately pathetic? They barely hold any spiritual essence within them? One more step and they'd be dead."

A spectacle. Events like these could have easily formed into one, with how obvious it was, when someone had stood out. Crowds naturally gathered to the object of attraction, ignoring how it might not have been the best of ideas. But so long as there was a lack of any screaming, it was only something of incentive. She had expected to see the blocked off traffic, take care of itself, through the alien simply moving out of the way, and headed off towards where he had needed to be. An action which would have only led her to trailing after. She had just about every right to do so, considering the idea of what could happen. The city being attacked wasn't a problem for her. She had memories attached to the place, knowing it had been around these streets, that had her decide which martial arts school she had wanted to enroll in, and led her to the life she lived now. It wasn't her duty to go and save anyone either, from an attack. If anything, the likeliest situation to come from one, so long as she wasn't considered a target, was taking advantage of the situation herself. Given the chance to do so, it wasn't unreasonable to believe there were those who would do what they had wished. Whether thievery or some form of assault, her involvement gave the easiest of excuse to beat down those who made such large efforts. Materialistic goods wasn't the aftermath of such a situation, but a way to strengthen herself with targets that gave reason for going after them. There was nothing noble about it, when she was expecting compensation in the form of insight, or some backing in a situation where she would need it. Though instead of anything awry happening, and the being simply turning around to leave, she had found him suddenly appear in a burst of speed, which easily went on to surpass her own. Even as a practitioner of ki, he was still too fast for her to actually see him normally, like she did against others. He had more power than the man she had met some days ago as well, but surprising wasn't what she would have called it. Running into the pink humanoid, and meeting one of the two she had asked to be introduced to, had only left her with the impression that it was something she should be expecting. Her years of living and learning on the grounds of her enrolled school, had kept her away from a lot of things, when she didn't travel into the city. Beings of power had been one of those, but the teachings passed onto her, made it pretty clear, it would have been a loss cause to approach without mastering what she had knew now. People could be seen as trustworthy, given the circumstances, but it was questionable just how much such a thing would last. There was always some benefit to be had as well. Looking down at this guy, due to his current short stature, there was nothing really imposing without the ability to feel ki. But he gave off the same tightness in her stomach, that she felt with the younger girl. Something which proved true what she had already knew about these kind of beings. Along with Saiyans, these humanoids of different names held a lot of reputation for being otherworldly stronger than most. A big part of it, like with any race of beings, stemmed down from transformations. Power that could be accessed only with certain focus and need for some, but easily something accessible to others. All of what she knew came from what she knew of history, and the kind of influence that politics really had, since Capsule Corp had became a galactic entity. With the kind of different beliefs there were, it felt as if there were as many factions out there, as there were different martial art schools. Only, rather than being buried by the latter, those leading each group were able to make themselves known enough to get them into such positions. For someone like her, who had a decent grasp of what was revealed to the public, it was a conflicting thing to hear this guy present himself as belonging to one of those groups. Not only that, but also expecting for her to just follow him on this supposed tour. "I wouldn't expect a lieutenant from another planet, to do anything hasty when there are still places still recovering. And even if you did, it's not my responsibility to be a hero, helping fight off whatever forces your confederacy could muster."There wasn't an issue with following after him, but there were things that he declared, that she wanted to make clear of. She had her own opinions when it came down to beliefs and governments, but her tone didn't carry anything hostile. It was more like she was listing things off, for what was supposed to be obvious. As far as she had knew, this Confederacy was a lot like any other ruling governments. They took the core belief of their leader, and made efforts to go and impose that onto others. People had their own reasons for following it, if they did so willingly, but it was a big change to try passing it onto other planets. The proof of that, was the way he had described Earthlings. It was true that she could have been someone much more, if she was another being. Humans had their limits and weren't raised to be soldiers. But that was just the thing about being Human. Whatever kind of upbringing these aliens had, were the kind of hardships she would have had to suffer herself. The strength might have been worth it all, but with the same kind of upbringing, wouldn't it have just been likely this guy could have just been a number? He wasn't obviously, if he had a title like lieutenant. She wanted a high position like that for herself, but how much would something like that even mean, without the proper allies to back her up? "Rukia Date, of the Demon Leopard school."Names were generally something easy to not mention, with that young girl she had sparred with, being a prime example. It wasn't until reaching where the child was headed, after waking up from passing out, did she actually manage to learn who that girl was, and actually introduce herself as well. But to try and do that here, would take away from just where things seemed like it was already headed towards. Whatever confusion he had, she was sure dealt with the way humans raised themselves. Though it was also incredulous that someone of his position, supposedly had yet to meet the ones defending this planet. She hadn't yet either, but that was only because that was just the way life here had worked. "Your way of phrasing demands some form of respect for certain humans, if someone of your title, hasn't yet met this planet's defenders."The spiritual essence stuff he brought up, she assume he was referring to ki and power level. The lack of higher powers around here, wasn't a mystery for someone like her, knowing her lifestyle was a choice. She still lacked any real hostile of a tone, only trading back what she was so assured of, against what he had believed in. Trying to convince him of humans really being anything comparable to other higher powers, wasn't her intention. She knew her own limits, but it was pointless to throw insults, when someone of that title here on Earth, could have gotten that kind of access. The chance of his people being different, only aided in the idea that this planet was doing something right. There was an extent when it came to contact. "But it's true if most around here were hit by cars, or fell off of cliffs, they would die. We're not raised to be soldiers like the Saiyans, so only some of us bother to practice ki and grow stronger."Rather than completely lump herself into the same group, she had made a gesture at the people around them. Their power was much lower than hers, but still something numerous compared to herself. "A lot of this information is common and simple. I have no access to classified information, with how the government of this planet works. But if you're really a lieutenant, then whatever I can offer, there are conditions to the information."Nothing which she considered to be too demanding, knowing both her lack of power, and importance. But they were diving into things she had no issue in somewhat shutting down, if it had lumped her into some kind of situation that he was blatantly insulting. She would be much stronger if she could get the right resources. "It's nothing out of place. Just the idea you can be someone to refer to, at some point in the future."A lot of people with higher power that she had already met, had their own beliefs. She didn't find too much trouble when it came to sharing her own views with them, but sooner or later, there was a chance there might have been enough differences to be on some opposing end, rather than be alongside them. In such a case, it would have been good to refer to other beings of power. To know someone by name, could either wind up fooling others and having them back down in some form, making her less of a target. She had yet to really do anything damning for anybody, not counting the little alien she met. WC: 1,620, TWC: 3,145 Doctor Kaijin Vex

Rukia Date, of the Demon Leopard school.
Demon Leopard, Tiger School. Such were foreign names to him, except for the word "demon" of course. That term was something he was quite familiar with these days. Nonetheless, there were really all these varying types of martial arts? It seemed that these humans enjoyed their rich diversity, to the point where they had a rich variety of different fighting disciplines. And he guessed that the only difference between the two were more than the name and the animal in which the style derives from. Perhaps in the future, when the human had gained the strength to be able to pose a challenge, he could fight her. See how different her "Leopard" fighting style was from the Tiger Style in which Tora utilized, the likes of which were not much different from his own style of combat.
But, that was for another day. Kamui wasn't here to fight, believe it or not. Despite the common human misconception of the fact that an alien's only purpose was to conquer the Earth was a rather geocentric view that, frankly, was meant to flatter humans. Kamui held little to no interest in conquering Earth. Hell, he really held no desire to truly conquer anything. His loyalty to Carambolis did not stem from any true desire to see his agenda fulfilled. It was simply a sociological study, and what better way to conduct a study then through participant observation.
And thus, Kamui's career with Crusher Corps began. Serving him, providing aid to planets, and fighting on other ones, all to analyze what type of leader Cam was bound to be. Would he stay with the same "for the good humanity" spheel that he constantly preached to the public, or would that hidden agenda that Kamui knew was hidden behind the man's facade of a public face. He merely anticipated the day that Carambolis would become comfortable enough to let the mask slip, and for his true intentions to be revealed to the galaxy.
Then, and only then, would his sociological experiment be complete. Then, he would leave the universe to deal with that mess, and retreat to some cantina on Space Vegas, and wait out the war to come to depose of a tyrant. If he became a tyrant, that was.
Nonetheless, Kamui listened to Rukia as she spoke, taking careful note of what she said, especially regarding the presence of Earth's defenders. Was that to say the one Kamui fought was not one of Earth's strongest? Or was he merely one of the more mid range fighters of this planet? An interesting concept, no doubt. Perhaps, if he searched hard enough, he could locate these planetary defenders, and see for himself if they were of worth.
As for the other humans on this planet, Rukia brought up a fair point. Even on other planets, the civilian population was more on the weak side, with only a few species possessing a culture centered on combat, such as the famous Saiyans she referenced. Perhaps it was because Kamui was a Frost Demon, whose species was rather infamous for having the potential to gain tremendous power in short periods of time. The fact that by the start of his elementary schooling he possessed more power than most of the civilian Earthlings on this planet would indeed warp one's perception of strength, and what was considered "strong".
Such was the clash of culture.
"Perhaps I have forgotten what it was like to relax, or be a true civilian. The woes of the life of someone who fights for the lives of others."
As for whether you can refer to me, that depends purely on what your idea of "refer to" means, dear. Your answer will, most certainly affect my answer, and whether I agree, or disagree."

Considering options. There was a difference between doing that, and essentially regretting a decision. The latter being the most difficult to turn around, once the choice had been made. She had always been taught about will, and the idea of how much one person's own, was something that could be easily imposed onto others. It took the perspective of someone else, to really go and see whether or not those imposed beliefs, were something to keep following. But to have regrets only paved the way to making mistakes. Rather than seeing those decisions as something to turn away from, and having to try to make things right, it was better to consider options that could improve the situation. Plenty of people might have been willing to impose their own will, but few made something out of it to benefit them. A large reason was because of some new desire to be independent. No longer able to witness what was now seen as wrong, or wanting to do more than what was already offered as a job. To resist and wait in a long con, could be a difficult thing. But facts had to be looked at, for an early death to be avoided. Nothing much was achievable without power and some kind of influence. She had seen it plenty of times, even among the simplest of interactions, that just about anyone could have. Status meant something, and with it, the laws that governed a planet could only do so much, without initiating some kind of war. It was a big reason that no matter how many people she kept meeting, who consistently showed they held more power than her, there wasn't a need to really worry. She fully believed she could last long enough for any kind of help to arrive, which although would bring her some humility, could be made up for in other ways. Managing to survive against the strong in the first place, carried a certain kind of pride itself. And such an event would be difficult to forget. Something which could be used to further motivate her beliefs. "There's no need to feel that way. It might be different on certain planets, but that status of yours could easily gain an audience with the stronger individuals of this planet."Wouldn't really matter if his people had such a history with this planet, that they were akin to the Saiyans, in how notable they were. That kind of reputation was something which would only help. It was surprising in the first place, it didn't seem like he had already met earth's strongest. Someone who was a lieutenant should have been aware of any possible enemies, as a way to gauge any threats. She supposed the leader of this Confederacy, had their priorities elsewhere, if there was a chance both sides were unaware of the other. Which wasn't a bad thing, should there really be a coming war. "Others might feel differently, but influence on that kind of level, is what should separate yourself from everyone else. Not anyone should be able to approach someone of status, which the laws of this planet more or less follows."The proof was in the fact she had yet to meet those protecting the earth. If life on this planet was truly settled enough, to where just about anyone could interact with the powerful, then where would motivation go, when it came to striving somewhere? Total equality, should have meant no real use for currency. Because in such a society, there should have been no excuses, for the powerful not to grant the weak whatever they desired. And even if they were capable to do so, happiness differed for others. "Are you satisfied with just staying a lieutenant? You might not have came here to conquer the planet, but it takes little for neutrality to wither away."Pressure from different sides, being one of those reasons. It was usually difficult to just stay completely neutral during war, with what kind of incentives or threats could have been made against someone. Someone of his position was already capable in some form, to lead others into battle. But people like her, only capable of watching with the level she was on, compared to others, easily desired so much more. "Still uneased? It's nothing more than another name to a growing collection, that might stir the interest of others. Recently, I've met a Majin going by the name of Zam, and her adoptive father, Netto. They might or might not mean something to you, but for the former, it brings out opportunities."Being friendly wasn't anything difficult. As much as life could really rear a more ugly side, and spars or battles could bring out something intense or cautious, such feelings were only something temporary. She had briefly frowned here and there with her earlier questions, and easily so, due to the kind of things she would do, if she had better status. But it was just as easy to go back to offering light smiles. "At least here on Earth, having some experience with those of status, could pave way into gaining an audience. Possibly create enough of an impression for better things to happen, either now or in the future. There's no losses, and it all goes back to what beliefs are pranced around.
The people defending this planet, whether they're doing it out of 'good' or their own means, raising a name they might recognize, gives some kind of incentive to a proposal forming. You're a lieutenant, and as far as I've heard with galactic news lately, shouldn't have any enemies on this planet, with its current neutral status. If I had actually knew your leader personally, wouldn't it give you more reason to stick around for some request?"They were all examples that she was giving, mixed in with what she had knew about the laws governing earth. Familiarity, or a supposed one, gave those aware of such names, more incentive to listen. There were those who could care less, but such an attitude only meant it would take a different approach, to even have a chance of getting to know them on some form. She gave the names of strong beings she had knew of, without adding anything compromising to it, but only the guilty should really worry about such things. Either that, or someone who was likely more disposable than their position should have been. Regardless of whichever one he was, it wasn't an everyday thing, getting to talk about this with someone with his merits. Granted, he was using her in a way with this tour, but she also saw advantage of her own. WC: 1,117, TWC: 4,262, Doctor Kaijin Vex

"So, you desire to meet the Emperor?" Kamui said flatly, deciphering her rather cryptic and honeyed words into a simple sentence. It was a popular request, something that he and other members of the elite had been asked. When it came to those with some semblance of physical ability, but with a lack of moral purpose to follow, they flocked to the biggest sign of galactic power with a purpose that they could somewhat throw themselves behind. And it most commonly came in the form of wishing to meet the Emperor. But since the Kabochan Emperor wasn't one to go cruising down the street on a regular Tuesday afternoon, the officers who stood by his side were often the ones approached to schedule an audience with him.
Not that he thought this woman was morally lacking, or lacked some type of purpose in her life. Kamui would never say anything like that. Think it? Maybe. Possibly. But say it? No no, that was just plain old rude.
Regardless, Kamui briefly entertained her words, rolling them over in his head. This Majin she spoke of, Zam, he had briefly heard of the species in which she originated from. Pink, elastic type, with fabled immense natural power, gained not through training, but were simply born with it. At some point, Kamui deemed it fit to test which was better. His immense strength gained through blood, sweat and tears, or the natural power that a select few beings were accustomed to from the very moment they were born. Of course, Kamui believed that training and accumulation of power was vastly superior, simply because the latter would only ring true if Kamui were to lose against someone such as this Majin Rukia spoke of, and that was simply not tolerated. His eyes shifting back to focus on Rukia, he once more addressed her.
"Am I satisfied with being a Lieutenant? A rather foolish question. I serve the Kabochan Emperor not out of any true desire to further his goals, even if that is a byproduct of my actions. Whether or not I am promoted by Carambolis or not means quite little. My service is merely part of a social science experiment, to test a hypothesis. What that hypothesis just so happens to be, is a matter of personal import to me, and of little import to you. Thus, you do not need to be held privy to it."
"However, I am not unreasonable. If you wish an audience, or at the very least a chance to someday meet with our Emperor, then very well. You need do as little as contact me, and I will arrange it, or if the Emperor happens to visit Earth before that time arises, mention my name and it will do wonders. What you wish to discuss about, is however not my concern, but at the very best a slight curiosity. Perhaps, at some point, you may deem it fit to enlighten me."
"Surely, you are aware of the events that have swept through the galaxy as of late. The Saiyan Dominion's war with the Galactic Empire, followed by the relinquishing of all holdings by the Dominion, making them a Kingdom rather than a growing Monarchical Empire. The growing conflict as Emperor Polaris makes his claims over the galaxy, and the growing resistance from independent systems, all coming to a head in a few days, when the Peace Accords come to meet on Planet Abbayor. Major galactic players, several individuals in fact, meeting in a single place to make decisions for billions. Hundreds of billions. How interesting, if you truly think about it."
The Frost Demon stopped for a moment, placing a hand over his mouth as he yawned, stretching his limbs as if seized by a sudden bout of fatigue
"Anyways, what were you saying, darling?"

Opportunities to advance, weren't something she would typically deny. There were people who had the certain belief they could do better than others, but when given the chance through some seeming miracle, they either had nothing to show for it, or became overwhelmed by the situation they found themselves into. Such apparent luck, wasn't as simple as it seemed however. Things needed to be considered, beyond one's own interests. This other party could have offered just about anything enticing, but no matter what resources they had, what use was it to work with someone that couldn't be tolerated? There were extents to how closely a collaboration could be, like to do so to appeal to public attention, or exchange of resources. But even then, there was no such thing as too much caution. People could afford casualties, when they were more influential, and the life of one person like her, could have easily been wiped out. There wouldn't even be a need to cover up such a thing. She was independent enough to where a lack of communication, wasn't something that could really be considered out of place. The idea of no news being good news, was the kind of hope that those she knew would have taken, rather than pursuing in some other approach. She was capable of being much more, and had something truly gone wrong, what kind of difference could have really been made, to try and go after her? It would be a loss cause. This Confederacy had their own reputation, and the kind of beliefs that made it obvious, just why they were their own entity. It was never something as simple as having one's own planet, to carry such titles like emperor. Similarities didn't mean exact, or else each planet would be nothing more but a branch of another. With the kind of attention beings of power had, and this leader must have been even more tremendous, if this changeling was only a lieutenant, it would be foolish to think one was the first to ask of anything. Nothing short but kinship and familiarity, could have been something outstanding enough, that this emperor would have cleared away what businesses they had to attend to. It was what status was meant to be. "I wish to meet a lot of people in the future. But on the same terms, rather than on opposing ends."To try and do so now, she wouldn't really have much of anything to show for. There was only one being of power she had actually fought against, and that was a child. One who hadn't even been using the full extent of her power. Until she could be in a more better situation, she was really just a face of many. Even able to talk to a lieutenant like this, was nothing more than being in the right place and time, for whatever he was specifically looking for, in this idea of wanting to understand earth culture. "I'm well aware of my current standing. If it was so easy to just meet anyone of power, then it's only fair to expect their resources would be free to use. Not everyone on this planet can even afford a gravity machine, let alone a ship to experience the gravity of other planets."She might have been the type to make assumptions, but it was from trying to gauge exactly what and how others would try and impose their own beliefs, with the kind of knowledge that they had grew up with. Perhaps he was used to hearing the idea of requesting an audience with his leader, that he had to really address the idea it was something she would have asked at one point. If anything, it would have been better to meet more people who were of his status, knowing what forces a leader trusted, could be of help. The things that she was already hearing from him, she could see the possibilities that could arise, if she had been much stronger. He sought her out and shared certain ideas of strength, forgetting the obvious of how with what kind of history this planet had, there were not only defenders to protect it, but also how it had earned its spot as a galactic entity. That kind of recognition wasn't just given away. The affairs of politics, were just too much of a niche, for such a thing to happen. If anyone could own a planet without putting in the work for it, just how many wars would there really be, due to greed or the use of certain resources? He had a lot of certain knowledge, but she still saw a lack of consideration here and there for other possibly involved parties. This wasn't a tone easily dismissed, if she had ruled. "Well you're certainly confident enough to be independent. I'm sure it'll keep changing, but if you're currently the strongest I've personally met, then your leader must be at least four times your power. Whatever you're testing, contingencies are something to consider."She didn't need to know whatever it was he was testing. The key thing she heard, was that he didn't seem to be some kind of kiss up to this emperor, if he wasn't working for the position, like a Capsule Corp employee would have mustered to keep theirs. That alone said enough that something could go wrong. She knew enough about alternatives through just what a disadvantage, humans really had. Having to work far more than others, while aliens already had power and certain technology, long before earth's involvement. "Then I thank you for providing the opportunity. It's rather easy to be nothing more than a face on this planet, without taking strides to change such things."She couldn't really say it was surprising to see him offer that kind of chance. That would have implied the idea she wasn't expecting to hear something she could have added onto in some way, because of something he hadn't considered. He didn't seem to know too much about earthlings, even if from her point of view, that was something necessary to know, for someone of his status. There was more countermeasures in doing so. But if he was really only working for this group out of some personal goal, then she supposed that was what gave reason for him not to go beyond the more normal duties of his title. She could have likely list off a lot of things he wasn't aware of, that she would have tried to acquire being in his position. "A lot of earthling's tune in, if there's any word going around, that there might be war. But you as an individual, I wouldn't expect somebody here would go out of their way, to claim your head without reason."It seemed like he kept seeing things on a level higher than what she was trying to make out. From the idea of meeting people in power, when she had already told of her lack of status, and now the apparent belief that she had been more referring to the group he was apart of. A galactic entity, whether or not they considered themselves to have enemies, it was really nothing but a likelihood that they did. "You wanted a tour, didn't you? I've picked out from things about what you've shared, but it's still unclear what specific knowledge you're lacking, if there really is any specifics."The yawn was something to ignore, not because of what opportunity he was claiming he would provide, but just how much it seemed to her that although she had started out following him, it was something of wonder on just where he had meant to lead her in the first place. She couldn't have really said he fell too easily to distractions, knowing that there was really only a couple of things his assumptions hadn't looked at. She had also faced much more obvious difficulties, than a lack of attention. WC: 1,333, TWC: 5,595, Doctor Kaijin Vex

Kamui yawned once more as Rukia stood before him, contemplating her options and then shooting responses back at him. To him, it truly did not matter when Rukia pounced upon her desire to meet Cam. As said, he had much better things to do then harp over such a small, insignificant issue. Ultimately, once the meeting was scheduled, it was Cam's issue, not his.
He was the help after all. The big thinking would be left to Cam, of course. How else would Kamui observe him and make his ultimate decision? Perhaps he would even take a seat and observe Cam one day. Shadow him, as children do when trying to learn from a professional of the craft they wish to go into. Except Kamui had no interest in being Emperor. He simply wanted to pick apart the Emperor's policies, and put them into perspective over a larger government body, over the span of his projected Empire. To see how well Cam's policies will go over, especially with a universe becoming more and more bold in their attempts at independence.
Regardless, Rukia inquired as to what Kamui needed to know in particular, for he did ask Rukia to accompany him on this journey, and he had to admit that they had gotten rather off topic on her desires, and ultimate aspirations. Kamui did not have long on this world, and he figured that he had spent long enough talking to this woman.
The best thing was to do was for her to finish this tour, and to move onto bigger and better things, before ultimately taking his leave from this planet, and returning to Planet Cane, to save yet another world from the fringes of destruction, in the name of the Confederacy.
"Ah yes, my tour. I'm afraid I have little time for an extended tour of the sights of the lovely East City. I must tour it again sometime. However, I merely ask this of you...a simple question, in fact. Who is the strongest person you have encountered, in your experience? I am not speaking from a combat perspective, but from simply sensing their energy. I am scouting for potential talent, for later interests. And I would love my tour of Earth to prove fruitful."
Stifling another yawn, the Changeling's tail would sway back and forth behind him as he awaited the woman's answer.
"Answer me this, and you are free to move about your day."

His place on earth was a temporary one.
That much was clear, knowing that he had revealed himself to be a lieutenant. But his being here must have not been as fruitful as he had hoped, if she was the one who he had asked to make contact with.
Her power wasn't something impressive, even if it was far more than the average human. The proof in that were the ones she had met, who already held much more power, and with their experience, could have been of more use in this situation. There were only so much she knew of, and what she did manage to share, it was questionable just how much of it was even taken in. What was she to someone of his title?
All of the yawning pointed to the idea that his mind was elsewhere, and what interest he had here and there, they were more concerned with certain things she couldn't pick out. What was going on within the galactic community, regardless of how much he could speak of, she heard nothing really useful.
There was only his idea of how enticing the situations could be, which although had its truths, were hardly something to be anything more than hypothetical, as far as the public was even aware of.
While he did seem to listen for the most part, there were things here and there that felt dismissive. Which only reminded her of everything she lacked, and have yet to possess. Rather than feeling some kind of spite, she held onto the idea that their encounter was coming to an end, as something to be remembered.
He was the strongest being that she had met at the moment, was a lieutenant, but due to his culture or other factors, held a certain mindset where he looked at the bigger picture of things.
Individuality was something he seemed to have, but at the same time, his way of approaching things as a subordinate, she had to wonder if it wasn't just something that merely bored him.
All she knew of his people were the basics, regarding the history they've carried on earth, similar to how Saiyans had human hybrids somewhere on the planet. Was anything but fighting, just not worth his time?
There was actually a lot more information she could have gained from him, knowing that he was an alien, and earthling's like her only knew so much. Experience and the exposure that came with it, were far better than just being told. But she supposed there were more different parties, who were much less busy.
They were out there somewhere, and if they held even remotely any reason, which could have them stay on the planet longer than a few hours or even days, she was likely to learn something more than she did here.
"The man I met named Netto, who runs an herbal shop near here. If you could find the Majin I met, it would be easy to find him too."
Person could have meant a lot of different things. He came here to earth, and had addressed to her, the idea of humans lacking in power. Something which could have easily meant that he was looking for some other strong human. But it could have also just meant a being of power she had encountered.
Knowing that he was the strongest, the second best was the man that she had already mentioned, and who he seemed to have no apparent knowledge of. This was the kind of thing that she took amusement in.
He could have really been as dismissive as he had wished, but for a lieutenant who held knowledge here and there about the factions, he knew far lesser people than what his position should have granted him.
That was the kind of fault this Confederacy had, if he was really supposed to be one of their representative. Awareness of others, especially the individuals that protected this planet, was something which she would have pushed to come true. Power was supposed to open up opportunities, so there was a way somehow, to make such a thing possible. All it really took was a search, if a rule meant anything at all.
She might not have met these individuals either, but she also wasn't anything more than a martial artist at the moment. One of many on this planet, with power that she could have improved so much on.
"I have a personal policy of not encountering someone too soon, so any next time we meet, I should be at a decent level of power."
The gap he had over her, was too far to really show herself again, until she at least had a chance of being within only two times below his power. She could have easily been overwhelmed if it had been his intention to bring any harm. Under these less tense situations, it was fortunate she was able to at least adjust.
Bringing her hands together, she gave a bow to signature her departure, having given all info she could.

Netto. And a Majin, as well? How interesting.
Of course, Kamui had no inkling of just how strong the people she mentioned were. And who could blame him? He was one person, after all, and given how far the Confederacy's reach was, he could hardly be expected to know every single person as soon as he touched down upon the planet, or make the attempt to within the first day of arrival. Given how long Kamui had truly been on the planet, he had actually made excellent progress on learning the culture of various Earthlings, and exposing himself to new facets of their ways.
Regardless, his journey through this planet was not over just yet. Kamui looked to Rukia as she exclaimed her determination to meet the Changeling once more on more equal terms. Despite his overall dismissive attitude, he liked the girl's level headed nature. If her combat ability and dedication were truly what she claimed it to be, to be capable of catching up to his current level of power, the day would soon arrive where she would be the one boasting the highest level of power on the planet.
Perhaps it would come sooner rather than later. Nevertheless, she provided his information and expressed her intent to leave through a respectful bow, so Kamui deemed it fit to bid her farewell and dismiss her politely. It was only right, after all.
Chuckling, Kamui bowed his head," You got a good head on your shoulders, don't get it blown off too quickly." Kamui remarked before he turned away, intent on shooting back into the sky, back to his ship for now.
Perhaps he would search for this Netto White, and this Majin that Rukia spoke of. But not yet. Only after he killed Mark I would he reserve any more time for any more recreational pleasures.
Priorities first, after all.
