Average height, well built, relatively slim. Slightly tanned skin and dark brown hair with hazel eyes. Wears a unique uniform of similar style to Earth’s Military and carries a two handed sword on his back.
MOTIVATIONS:
As someone who experienced
the wrath of alien invaders first hand, Joshua has dedicated his life to protecting Earth from more powerful foes that threaten his home and his people.
QUIRKS:
Handicapped: Ever since Joshua first began training with ki he has been completely unable to use it without first infusing it into an object. Any attempts to fire ki blasts or master elite techniques have generally resulted in damage to his own body rather than advancing his own strength.
Ancestral Power: Sometimes, when he is pushed to his limit, an ancient power awakens inside Joshua which gives him a second wind and allows him to continue the fight. Although it is limited and rare, he can sense there is an endless well of energy for him to access if he can only learn to master his energy. (Just a hyped up power up)
Master Swordsman: In an effort to combat his inability to control ki the Earthling trained himself to infuse energy into powerful weapons and follow this with attacks. To this end he has trained himself in various sword arts, and carries a blade forged entirely from his own energy on par with a sword built from Katchin.
Override Technique: Due to his general inability to use various areas of ki based combat, Josh is sometimes backed into corners, however through the use of a power up dubbed the 'override' technique he is able to more than double his power level and unleash far more powerful attacks on his opponents. (Power Up, Battle Stim, Energy Amp)
JOSHUA’S COMPANIONS:
CASSANDRA - Joshua’s closest friend and apprentice, the two of them travel everywhere together and constantly have each other’s backs. She is a somewhat distant relative of the recently resurrected King Ches but has little contact with him. She is the direct link between Joshua and many of the more powerful political figures who's support he needs to maintain the position of Venus and his position on the planet.

SPORUTO - Joshua’s rival, the Saiyan often finds herself pitted against the forces of Earth and her love of chaos can land her in trouble. While she is not necessarily evil she does put her own needs above those of others, and sometimes above the lives of others, which is where she can land herself in trouble with Earth's military. Particularly on Venus where she is both a wanted criminal and a common sparring partner of the planet's most powerful warrior.

ZAV - This Kai is incredibly powerful, and holds a high position among the North Kais. Although he generally takes little interest in the mortal world, a small group of warriors once hunted for a Kai to awaken their power, and through Zav they became an elite squad of vigilantes, fighting throughout the galaxy for hundreds of years in secret. There were whispers of their legendary power, some even going so far as to say they were immortal. Since they slowly faded out of existence Zav has had little to do, focusing on those of the squad that remain or any of their offspring that have particularly interesting quirks.

ANDROID 88 - Created with the intention of killing Josh and destroying Venus' central command, this android was defeated and rebuilt to have free will. He now holds the prestigious position of Sentinel, ready to defend Earth and its colonies at a moments notice.
6”3, blue hair and eyes
COLONEL GRIFFIN - Chief administrator of Venus and commander of the Venus logistics corps. He is Joshua's right hand man and a very senior officer in his own right. While he is not much more powerful in terms of ki than the average Earth military soldier, he is an administrative genius and one of the reasons Venus' Fleet admirals turn to Joshua's cohort for leadership.

CAPTAIN HOLMES - Captain of the Phoenix Company, the most elite unit on the planet under Joshua's direct command. This man fights alongside Joshua whenever the company goes into the field. He has been with the Earth military since he was first eligible to join, and is ready to die for his planet and people if necessary.

BACKSTORY:
Before joining Earth’s military Joshua had trained from a young age to be a ki warrior. He had never known either of his parents but he’d made a name for himself in the Kikoukenjutsu sword school, where he was raised from childhood under some of the best sword fighters on Earth. The combination of his sword skill and infusion techniques led to him becoming a very powerful human.
He first joined the military of Earth after they hosted a special event for ki users to see who would be able to hold their own in combat. Following this special commission he worked tirelessly, fighting off multiple threats to Earth, but after a while as a serviceman some of the higher ups decided someone young would make a good leader of the rapidly expanding Venus forces.
After multiple losses to his own military forces Joshua decided he should spend some time building up Venus' military and failing infrastructure. As Earth's politics moved on and warriors around the galaxy got stronger, the Commander busied himself with improving his planet and building up his ability to defend Earth
CALL TO ACTION:
Before joining Earth’s military Joshua was tempted to sell his skills. However following the Freiza Force attack on his planet he decided that money was not worth the ability to defend his planet and fight alongside his people.

You create a sphere of ki around your body that insulates and protects you from incoming damage.

ENERGY CONSTRUCTS
You form weapons or constructs of crystallized ki energy that help you fight in various ways.
Type: Utility
Activate: Bonus Action to create constructs. At-will to use them.
Effect: As a bonus action you create 4 energy constructs. As an at-will action you can activate number of constructs to add one d4 as a bonus damage die to assigned Basic Attacks during your turn. Alternatively, as a reactive at-will action you can sacrifice constructs to negate damage from attacks that hit you during your turn. Each construct spent on an individual attack negates 2 damage, to a max of 8.

Limit: Once per battle
Ranks: Rank 2 you create 6 construct. Rank 3 you create 8 constructs.
SOLAR FLARE
You use your ki to amplify the light around you into a blinding flash.
Type: Utility
Activate: Bonus Action
Effect: As a bonus action you have a 60% chance to inflict the Blind status on your target. The max chance to inflict with any effect is 95%.
Cost: 5 ki
Limit: Twice per battle.
Ranks: Rank 2 the target takes 2 stacks of Blind. Rank 3 is upon infliction it deals a d6 worth of direct damage.
SONIC SWAY
You rely on pure fighting instinct to help you bob and weave through your opponent's attacks.
Type: Defense
Action: Bonus Action - Reactive
Effect: As a bonus action you avoid damage from all damage dice that roll a natural 8 or lower during your turn. If you take zero damage from an attack this way, it counts as fully avoided. Considered a Movement technique

EXO-SUIT - This high tech battle armour protects Joshua, and the advanced helmet amplifies his ki sensing abilities.
CALIBURN - Joshua's sword, this weapon is forged entirely out of his own energy. He can infuse his ki into it for powerful attacks and is an excellent swordsman even without his energy.
