CONTINUUM
The Continuum is a clandestine organization founded by the surviving members of the Tuffle Kingdomโs top brass, scientists, and other key personnel, for the sole purpose of eradicating the Saiyans.
Current leader: President OJ Drinman
Description of government: The Continuum is a centralized secret Tuffle society and is run by President Drinman - a mysterious figure who never appears to any of the members of the organization in person. Instead, he communicates via audio format. It is highly jingoistic and militaristic, and revenge against the Saiyans completely dominates it's equivalent of "politics"
Capital world: None
List of owned planets: None
Society: Throughout centuries, the Continuum has abandoned the historical peaceful Tuffle nature and has grown into a hateful, seclusive group, focused on vengeance and militarism - ironically becoming close in nature to the very thing they were created to annihilate. The Continuum is completely secret to all of the major factions and operates in seclusion, which heavily shapes the "society" of the group - it leeches on the resources of others instead of gathering their own, it manipulates other factions to fight their wars because of their inability to wage war. All for the destined Final Contingency - the genocide of the Saiyans.
History: The Continuum is the unintended result of the Fruit Basket Project, a contingency plan enacted by Tuffle High Command in the final months of the Saiyan-Tuffle War, when they began to seriously consider the possibility of defeat. Fruit Basket was originally intended to preserve the knowledge of the Tuffle Race and provide any survivors of the war with a means of rebuilding their fallen civilization. It would do this by preserving the memories, intellects, and personalities of the best and brightest Tuffle minds on a supercomputer, and then implanting them in genetically enhanced clones known as Custodians.
The Custodians would have served as the protectors and guides of the Tuffle survivors. They would have passed on the knowledge of the Tuffle Kingdom, while ensuring the survivors would withstand the rigors of living in a post-apocalyptic realm while rebuilding their civilization. With the disastrous conclusion of the Saiyan-Tuffle War, however, nearly all of the race was destroyed, leaving only a few tiny scattered groups that would eventually devolve into tribes over the centuries.
Understanding that the Tuffle Gene Pool was no longer viable, even considering the presence of the tribes, the orchestrators of the Fruit Basket Project, the 100 surviving members of Tuffle High Command, decided to retool the program. Instead of serving as a tool for an impossible reconstruction, it would become a weapon of extinction. Now, the Custodians serve as agents of the Tufflesโ vengeance, much in the same capacity as Dr. Lychee and Hatchiyack.
High Command reorganized themselves into the Continuum, and have made it their mission to ensure that the race responsible for the Tufflesโ extinction, the Saiyans, are also wiped from the face of the universe.
The Continuum has operated silently for the past few centuries, focusing on monitoring the status of the Saiyan Race and the galaxy at large, while developing newer and more advanced technologies to overcome their hated foe. Gone was the peaceful Tuffle culture once known to the Continuumโs members, replaced only by a seething hatred. Because of this, the Continuum has evolved into a highly militaristic and jingoistic subculture, becoming the very thing they despised in order to destroy it.
Today, they are an insidious parasite, silently feeding off the wealth and resources of the galaxy in order to fund their Final Contingency, a plot for the eradication of the Saiyan race.
DIPLOMACY
Galactic Empire- Undercover Infiltration
Kingdom of Earth - Undercover Infiltration
Saiyan Dominion - War
Crusher Corps - Undercover Infiltration
FACTION POSITIONS
It is practically impossible for one to willingly "become a member" of the Continuum. The organization bolsters it's ranks either via additional Custodian clones or by kidnapping and "re-civilizing" any discovered Tuffle tribesmen who are deemed by the Continuum to be fit for service. However, you don't need to actually be a part of the organization to serve it's goals - often while not being aware of that.
Contact
You're either a hired pawn or a person otherwise aligned with the goals of the Continuum, and are thus privy to the stuff happening in the shadows. You could be doing work for one of their front organizations or for an agent. Your skills make you useful enough to be sent on missions, but to the Tuffles, you are still a mere chess piece.
Spots: Unlimited
Current characters: None
Agent
You've earned enough of your employer's trust to get to know a little about who you're working for and why they are doing those things. Agents gain access to Continuum gadgets and technology, one of the best in the Galaxy - they will come in handy for sure. You are also responsible for recruiting and managing new contacts.
